Has anyone ever used vinegar on your hair as a conditoner after washing? I've read that it makes your hair shiny and smooth but I haven't tried it myself yet. I know that a lot of times it goes hand in hand with washing with baking soda instead of shampoo, but I've also read that the alkalinity of baking soda is really bad for your hair, so I don't think I want to try that. Any experiences with using vinegar or other "natural" ways to clean hair?

Re: Another hair post
I've done apple cider vinegar, and it worked really well, but my hair felt sticky all the time. Maybe if I hadn't used organic vinegar?
I've also done the baking soda no poo, and my hair felt crunchy and super brittle. I also made a batch of chamomile tea/castile soap shampoo, and again, crunchy and brittle hair. Either I don't know how to wash my hair and get it clean, or I just can't use no poo! lol
That all said, I've got a girl friend who has done the baking soda/vinegar no poo for 15 years, and her hair is GORGEOUS! Its like she never has a bad hair day.
