C-Section Check-In?

Re: C-Section Check-In?

  • I'm interested. I was told there is a chance I may need a c section due to a low lying placenta however if it moves out of the way I may be in the clear. I have my fingers crossed it'll move. I just wouldn't look forward to the recovery form a c section.

  • @aikendrum, our toddler is also "active," lol. She's crazy! I worry about being able to keep up with her needs, too. It'll be tough, but lots of mamas have done it, right? I've been told repeatedly that recovery from a planned section is so much easier. Hopefully after two weeks you'll be feeling pretty darn good.

  • Yes very interested! I'm having a RCS in early April and I'm impatiently waiting to meet with the surgeon to schedule the actual date. I'm a Type 1 diabetic and my medical team doesn't want me pregnant longer than 39w. I had an emergency C with DD1 for many reasons- cord around neck, shoulder dystocia, etc. I'm both excited and anxious to have a much lower-key scheduled delivery. I'm praying that recovery will be easier this time since I won't have labored for 27+ hours and pushed a baby partly out first!
  •   I had a c section 28 months ago because of a breech baby, but I had a vaginal birth before so I am a good candidate for a vbac.  At the moment I am planning a vbac and OB is on board, but my options get limited and I can't go to 41 weeks or have an induction so I may end up with one.  I've been warned if it is not all optimal I get a section which would be not my first choice.
  • I'd be interested in one.

My first labor with my son was very long and intense (36 hours) that resulted in shoulder dystocia but a vaginal delivery. Also when I was dilating one of the sides didn't open fully. My doctors all for me having normal delivery, but at this point with everything I've been reading about it reoccurring, I'm just not sure anymore.
