Welcome to the 2IF grads - how are you feeling? How did the appointment with the OB go? |
1. How many weeks along are you?
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)?
3. How are you feeling lately?
4. QOTW: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world right now (forget being pregnant) - where would you go and why?
Re: ***2IF grad check-in 1/11/15***
1. How many weeks along are you? 15 weeks tomorrow.
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? - I started getting really uncomfortable back and lower sciatic paid sitting at my desk this week. I started seeing a chiropractor the day after with my OB's blessing so I hope it will help.
3. How are you feeling lately? - I'm feeling much better emotionally, and up and down physically. I spoke with my OB at my monthly appointment and she put my mind at ease about many things. DD being back to daycare and me back to work after the holidays has helped my mood by being back in a routine. Hopefully the chiro will relieve the back pain.
4. QOTW: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world right now (forget being pregnant) - where would you go and why? I would love to go on a South African Safari! I would love to see that part of the world and its wildlife but DH has no interest, so our next big trip will probably be Europe at some point. Possibly Germany to visit our friends.
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Ultrasound tomorrow
3. How are you feeling lately? Tired!
4. QOTW: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world right now (forget being pregnant) - where would you go and why? Anywhere warm right now! I'm fairly easy to please as long aa it is warm!
DS #1: April 2010
DS #2: July 2015 (preemie born at 31 weeks) - our little miracle conceived through ART - unexplained secondary infertility/adenomyosis
1. How many weeks along are you? 7w5d today
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Ultrasound on Wednesday and feeling pretty nervous.
3. How are you feeling lately? Physically I'm good. I have been getting a lot of nausea at night which I think is a good sign. I'm feeling very pessimistic though. Hopefully that will change on Wednesday with a good ultrasound report.
4. QOTW: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world right now (forget being pregnant) - where would you go and why? Right now? I guess southern hemisphere somewhere, so either Africa or South America. Europe is pretty high on my list but I don't want to leave one cold continent for another cold continent this time of year.
October 2011 - DS (7)
July 2014 - Stillborn DD (24 weeks)
August 2015 - DD (3)
April 2018 - 5 week loss
Hi, thanks for adding me! I'm feeling pretty good and am able to keep the crazy at bay most days. I met with my new OB this past week. More on that below.
1. How many weeks along are you? 4w5d
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? I met with a new OB this week. It was just a meet and greet sort of thing, since I switched insurance on the 1st of the year. She is GREAT. First of all, she put me on extra folic acid and on daily Lovenox injections as a precautionary measure. (For those who don't know my history, I have recurrent pregnancy loss, with 4 losses in the last 13 months). Mostly, I was just impressed by how much time she took to listen to me and my history. I don't have another appointment until my 7 week ultrasound at the end of January. So I'm just trying to keep myself distracted until then.
3. How are you feeling lately? Mentally, I'm feeling surprisingly pretty good. I declined betas this time around and I think it has really helped tame the anxiety. I'm also getting weekly acupuncture treatments, which also helps me relax. Physically, I'm still so early that I'm not feeling much in the way of symptoms, but I did get a bout of nausea this morning and I was pretty excited about it. :-&
4. QOTW: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world right now (forget being pregnant) - where would you go and why? The Riviera Maya. It's cold where I live right now and I'm longing for those pristine, white Caribbean beaches.
eta-
@JimBobCooter I am on Zoloft and have been for years. I realized I'm not exactly the poster child for great pregnancies, but I was on it throughout my pregnancy & breastfeeding with DS and he is perfect in every way and way too smart for his own good. (I may be biased). I hope you are feeling better soon.
1. How many weeks along are you? 11w1d
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Ultrasound and bloodwork on 1/16 - praying everything looks good and I will be discharged from RE to OB.
3. How are you feeling lately? Better - the nausea has subsided. Panicking a little and feeling like I have to gear up and accomplish a lot while I am feeling good because I get the feeling with twins there will come a time when I will have to do a lot less earlier than my pregnancy with DD.
4. QOTW: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world right now (forget being pregnant) - where would you go and why? Punta Cana. DH and I had some wonderful trips there before DD. It has been cold in NJ and I dream of lounging by the pool soaking up the sun.

DS #1: April 2010
DS #2: July 2015 (preemie born at 31 weeks) - our little miracle conceived through ART - unexplained secondary infertility/adenomyosis
1. How many weeks along are you? 21 weeks, 1 day?!
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Regular monthly check 1/28, nothing else until then
3. How are you feeling lately? Sleep sucks, I bought the Leachco Snoogle, But I am returning it. I liked the back support, but you have to use it as your pillow for head too & it gives a a terrible neck ache. I tried repositioning a few different ways, but no luck. It also is a pain because I switch from side to side all night, so you have to reposition the pillow. Oh well...
4. QOTW: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world right now (forget being pregnant) - where would you go and why? ITALY! I have always wanted to go to Italy! My husbands family, both sides, are Italian, and I am trying to convince my MIL to take a trip one day!
PS- I spoke to my sister again about a "sprinkle", she wants to host, but we are going to see if it is even possible with both our schedules...
Lots of BFN's & failed IUI's w/clomid and/or femara
Finally BFP with femara & t.i.- son born 6/17/2010
Started TTC again around when DS was 3ish
Lots of BFN's with femara & t.i & ovidrel
Tubes clear, S.A came back low motility but high count
About to switch to injectables w/femara, did one last cycle with just femara & an IUI with ovidrel- stupid motility was fantastic in the sample, but count was 700,000 AFTER wash! Had to sign a paper to even still do IUI- BFFP (big fat freaking positive) Go figure!
1st Beta 13dpiui 54, 2nd beta 48 hours later 115, 3rd beta 48 hours later 310, 4th beta 72 hours later 1748.
1. How many weeks along are you? 12w2d
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Had ultrasound and bloodwork for NT scan this morning. Took DD with us for the U/S she loved seeing the baby. It wasnt cooperating and giving us a good profile shot to get some measurements so it was longer than usual which DD enjoyed! U/S looked good just waiting for bloodwork to come back next week.
3. How are you feeling lately? MS is still there. Almost had to go to the ER last week because I went 25 hours without keeping anything down. Today seems to be a bad day too but I think it is just because I am exhausted.
4. QOTW: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world right now (forget being pregnant) - where would you go and why? Scotland/Ireland, I have traveled a lot but these are still on my bucket list.
2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? At my 20 week scan with specialist, they were not happy with the placement of my placenta in relation to my cervix. I wasn't diagnosed with Previa, but they were going to keep an eye on it. Went in for the ultrasound and placenta is closer to cervix than before. OBGYN says it can still move away for a safe delivery, but she's talking c-section which makes me really, really upset, however, I have another ultrasound to see if it's placement is better. I'm only a fraction off. Saw general surgeon for my hernia. I will likely have surgery 8-12 weeks after the baby. Still up in the air about my knee and treatment. Bed rest has been killing my spirits, but I'm hanging in. Just really hoping for no c-section.
3. How are you feeling lately?
Feel ok. Aside from medical stuff, I feel alright. I have a lot of anxiety over having a boy and how I just feel out of my element and I won't know what to do, but I'm sure that will subside. I think I generally have all the 3rd trimester pains!
4. QOTW: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world right now (forget being pregnant) - where would you go and why? It's a toss up between Fiji or Ireland. I've always wanted to go to Fiji and stay on a little hut over the beautiful water.... Ireland because it's beautiful and my most favorite beer (Kilkenny) comes from there.....
Good luck to all the ladies! Love reading your updates.
Omg! I can't believe how close a few of us are getting. I'm so excited. And I'm happy to see new faces!
My friend is doing ok. For those tbat don't know, her water broke at 22 weeks. She is still in the hospital and will stay until her son arrives. We will be 24 weeks Tuesday, so after that point they won't stop labor or anything, and when she delivers, he's here. They are expecting him pretty soon. She is taking it all so well. She has put it in Gods hands. I admire her so much.
1. I am 23 weeks this week. Amazed at how fast this seems to be going.
2. Wed, the 21st, we have another appointment to check Aubrey's heart and pallet again since we didn't get a clear view last time. I also have to retake my glucose test again
3. In general, I feel good. Jus tired and still fighting my sciatic. But it could always b worse!
4. Italy. I have ALWAYS wanted to go since forever. So much, that I'd even go pregnant lol
