It's Monday and cold and crazies are invading our board...

My current bitch: The pump to the aquarium in our waiting room is going out and it making the worst noise ever. I will seriously lose my mind if I have to listen to this all day. Anyone know if the fish will all die if I unplug it?

Yes, the fish will eventually die, because there won't be enough oxygen in the water for the fish if the water sits still.

Depends on the type of fish, but in general, if you unplug it today and make a genuine effort to get it replaced within a few days, no real harm done.

There are certain fish.. And I'll need to refresh my memory on that.. Which require oxygenated water (moving water all the time.) But we had aquariums growing up, and it took a hell of a lot to kill those fish....

My bitch: Now that I've told work I'm transitioning to be a SAHM come summer, and they've started looking for my replacement..... It's like senior spring. I don't want to do anything and it's soooo haaaard to even go to work most days. I don't love my job to begin with so.... Sigh. RESPONSIBILITIES!

We are selling our house, beautiful house in Phoenix. We are building a new one, but cannot move in until our contingency is met- selling our current home. My friend is also doing the same, and is asking 50k less. She has A LOT more showings than we do, and I know it's because it's cheaper, but I wish that we could sell our house to move into our dream home that has a lot more space, and I don't know if it will happen. And it's making me bitchy because I'm cannot control this situation and I HATE THAT. I need control.

Do they float to the top, or do they get stuck somewhere to pass?

So goldfish I'm positive are the kind which NEED the pump. Do you have one? We had a problem killing fish without realizing it because our pump was turned up too high and it was moving the water too much. So if they didn't get stuck in the pump they'd get pushed somewhere else.

If they're just floating to the top it might be your water. Next thing we would do is get a water sample and take it to Petsmart- just a little Tupperware- and have them test it. Because they can give you the right stuff to balance the PH and what-not.

Once you get it right, fish are the best pets for little kids because they're fun without a lot of work. I hope you get it figured out!

The weather is downright shitty here today (DH's schools even had a 2-hour delay, but the roads are fine now) and I have a bunch of errands to run. I am making myself go out later by bribing myself with the promise of stopping at Panera. It's totally on the way to my last stop, I swear.

I've been dying for a snowstorm. We finally get one last night and this morning and I'm not even home for it. My mom lives in the house I grew up in just south of Detroit while fiancé and I are currently living 40 mins south just inside Ohio for my college tuition purposes. Our whole county is on a level one snow emergency and the city is shut down. While I'm up here with a nice little dusting. Lame sauce.

That's frustrating!

My bitch - I am legitimately mad at the trolling that has happened today. Because of things like this, other women won't get the attention/support they need because there's so much bullshit on the first page. I found this to be a slap in the face to our community, almost making fun of the place that most of us come to give and receive support. BOO to trolls!

Because they're given away at carnivals, goldfish have somewhat developed a reputation of being easy fish to care for. They're not. They're very sensitive to temperature and pH and they need a lot of room. I would try something like a catfish (cory - I love the albino ones), danios, or I'm partial to mollys.

@mommacandi - if you want, I'll help bump the more important topics (subjective, I know) to bury some of the trolling.

My bitch for the day - I got a nosebleed on my way out the door and was therefore late to work. I am so sick of these nosebleeds. They're time consuming and always manage to get on my clothes.

Yep, that's them...she changed all the titles. I didn't see the boob post, but I think she changed the title and content of that post as well. She was trying to prove a point apparently, all while clogging our board with nonsense.

She's changed them ALL to "lol". I do believe there's three of them in total. I think there are QFP's in them, but she keeps going back and changing the titles and first post. She's basically openly admitting to baiting and teasing us because she's heard what horrible people we are and thinks it's funny. I think the boon one is the one with the most posts and has been turned into a gif party.

I know this obviously isn't the same as a real fish but I got this for my younger siblings for Christmas. It swims around like a real fish and has different colored lights that come on as it swims. My siblings, ages 4 to 9, all loved it. Also, the description says it's a glass bowl but they are actually plastic.

My damn laundry room flooded with poo water!! Again! This has happened four times in the last year. Each time we go rent an auger and snake it ourselves but today I had had it and want to know why!!! We have an old house so tree roots are the likely culprit but could also be broken sewer mains.. Almost 200 for him to snake it and they will have to set an appointment for a guy with a camera to locate the problem. I don't wanna know what that's gonna cost. Then to fix it.. Ugh I am tired of being up to my ass in shit!!!!! Today sucks big huge balls.----rant over----

I can't stand being at work today. One of my coworkers had her first baby in July. This is obnoxious because:

1- Everyone keeps comparing me to her. "your so much bigger than she was last January" - Ummm yes, because I'm due a whole fucking SIX weeks earlier in the summer than she was! "She was never sick as much as you" - Shut the fuck up. I have HG, bled like a murder scene on more than one occasion, have had 1 week of bed rest already, and she had a rainbow and unicorn farts pregnancy. I don't give a shit, and I don't want to hear it. I have sick leave, and I'll fucking use it if I want. It's between me & my supervisor, not the rest of you idiots.

2- SHE keeps giving me advice. (she sits next to me). Like when I'll feel more energy, what the 3rd trimester is like, what kind of car seat/baby gear/whatever I must get, how to take care of a baby, blah blah blah. This would be obnoxious normally, but even more so because I HAVE A SON. This isn't my first pregnancy or baby! Also I'm a CPST, so I don't need your (totally inaccurate) "car seat advice". I get it.... she just had a baby, which makes her an "expert", but seriously, I'm a STM. I know what the fuck I'm doing.

Everyone in my office needs to shut.the.fuck.up. today. For realz.

Just a friendly PSA from someone who is late to the party with the chaos today and that's been spilling over from yesterday. I don't want to overload the mods with complaints, but I hope someone is reporting those posts so it's on the mod radar! I reported the obvious "LOL" troll, but I have no idea if someone reported the "hoes" and "bitch" comments from the others. It seems like (though I'm obviously no expert) they all have committed enough TOU violations to get a banhammer, or at least be close to it, but the only way that can happen is if the mods know about the posts!

Agreed, and yes, I almost always report the name calling TOU violations.

The trolling is ridiculous. I lurked my last board and it was never this bad. Sadly makes me even more paranoid about protecting my identity. So much crazy.

My bitch for the day is the checkout lady at the grocery store. "I bet you'll be at the hospital in the next few days!" as in, for delivery. I apparently look 40 weeks pregnant. Awesome. I just spent the last hour dry heaving through your meat department and trying not to pass out in your aisles because it's a rough morning and I clearly look every inch of it. But thanks for that. (I know she was trying to be nice, I smiled politely and somehow refrained from informing her I'm not even halfway there.)
