Saying Hi!

Hey there ladies! I'm new to the forum! I'm due May 12 with my first baby, a little girl. I don't think I want a bassinet, but my mom insists on one. I'm not very much into the super girlie with lace and poof, but that's all I'm seeing as I look for one. Have any ideas on a happy median?? Or did anyone go without?

    Welcome, I didn't buy a bassinet for baby but I did buy a crib, it's dark cherry wood so it works for both boys and girls! Good luck on deciding what to use, their are plenty of options to choose from! Just get whatever you know you will be comfortable using and don't worry so much about others wishes, you're the mom so you get to choose!

    I personally despise bassinets, but that's just me. Had a frilly lace hand me down one with my daughter that her father insisted on. It was horrendous.
