I did a stupid thing

So I'm 5 weeks 3 days. My PGAL brain has been in hyper mode the last few days because most of my pregnancy symptoms have disappeared. My boobs are still gigantic but not nearly as sore. Tonight I thought I'd check my cervix to see if it was closed like it should be in pregnancy and of course it's not. It's low and open and now I'm preparing myself for another loss. I know better than to check it and read too much into it but I did it anyway. Anyone else have any experience with this? I'm reminding myself that I'm pregnant until I'm not but this is pretty miserable right now.

I check my cervical position more than I care to admit, and I remember that mine was not as high as I was hoping around week 5. I'm obviously not a dr, but from what I've read and understand, cervical position isn't a reliable indicator of where your pregnancy is at so early on in the game. They will move up on their own time!

Try not to get too worked up, I know easier said than done. It's tough being in such an uncontrollable condition such as pregnancy, let alone dealing with PGAL brain. You are in my thoughts and I hope all progresses well for you!

My cervix is still low (I know because I have to give myself progesterone suppositories every night) and I'm 8 weeks. I just had an U/S on Wednesday and little bean looked fine with a heart rate of 156. The doc didn't say anything about my cervix except that it was normal. So I don't think the height of it matters, not sure what to say about it being open? Are you sure it is? I could never tell, it just feels like a dimple.

Remember, too, that your cervical position changes throughout the day so might have caught it at a low point. Also, if you've had prior children or a D&C (I'm mobile so can't see siggy history), then it's possible your cervix is always slightly open.

My cervix was all over the place early in this pregnancy. I stopped checking because I was reading too much into it. It's just not a reliable indicator of anything, note are symptoms. This stage is so hard, I know! Sending lots of ((hugs)).

I tried to check mine early in pregnancy and freaked myself out because I thought my cervix was soft and partially open. I stopped checking it after that, and everything has looked good on all of my scans. I think it is sometimes hard to tell early on.

Mine is low, too, and of course I freaked out. I called my OB who said it could just be anatomy and basically to leave it alone and stop poking at it.

Try not to stress too much!
