I'm 38 weeks pregnant, and my baby is extremely active- to the point where it actually hurts and is very uncomfortable. I thought there was supposed to be decreased movement as the baby grows and runs out of room- is anyone else experiencing this?
I'm 39w2d and only 5'2" so there's not much space. Babe is still moving around like crazy! Very uncomfortable and even painful sometimes. I was expecting it to slow down a bit but it hasn't... Oh well.
I don't think this wee one is super active but I can certainly feel what I"m sure is EVERY movement and they are not all pleasant. I used to feel wee one mostly at night when I wasn't moving but now I feel him/her throughout the day and sometimes the movements literally stop me in my tracks.
My doc said it is better that the baby is active so every time there is a movt that makes me squirm i tell myself that it won't take long and I shld just endure and be patient
I'm only 5', have a very short torso and am 38W5D. My little guy hasn't stopped moving since the day we had our first ultra sound, the tech actually has a hard time getting what she needs each time (even when we were only 9W) because he's such a maniac in there lol. Because of that, I didn't really expect him to relax once hitting the third tri n he hasn't. Just try and recline yourself a lot, feet up, lots of water and hang in there. GL :-)
My lo is an active monster too! But I am 5'10" and have a long torso, so it isn't painful. Truly, I love the activity! My poor right side ribs though... They have really taken their share of kicks and wedged feet! Sorry you are having pain, but I think you will miss the feeling once baby makes his/her exit.
Our little one is much more active in the afternoon and evening. She pummels me at these times but is much more chill most of the day. Not sure why that is but with all my pregnancies the baby has had crazy cycles. This was no indication of how they were when they were born.
I'll be 41 weeks tomorrow and my lo is just as active as ever. 5'3", and really short torso. The right side of my rib cage is totally mangled. I tell her if she'd like some more leg room, she could come out! It's also nice though to know she's ok in there, a little peace of mind
My first was extremely active. I actually think she got even more active after 37 weeks until she was born. I'm 5ft1 as well so I'm sure that made me feel everything too. This one has stayed about the same as he always has been, some days very active, some days not so much.
I am a little over 38 weeks and she is still very active. Not quite the hi-ya! kicks like a few weeks ago, but lots of movements. Doctor says it's a good thing, so I won't complain a bit! Except when she tries to expand my ribs for me... they don't move that way!!
I'm 37 weeks 3 days and she moves around a lot, she does get into some "awkward" positions that make me super uncomfortable I have to lay or sit in different positions. But I learned after having my first (she kicked until she came out) It was like my belly was doing the wave at almost 40 weeks (had her the day before my due date) but I learned to just put my hand there and rub a little bit and she would move if I was uncomfortable!! Hope you get some comfort, but sometimes I felt more comfort knowing she was okay all the way up to meeting her (: so good luck to you!! It'll get better! Soon as you hold your baby it's like all of that never happen and you're the luckiest person on earth!! (:
Re: Very active baby
Of course talk to your doctor if you're concerned, and sorry you're uncomfortable.
