I'll jump on the UO Disney bandwagon. I have never been to a Disney park (DH has) and we have agreed to never go. We have a few huge theme parks just a few hours away for far cheaper. We have also agreed to take the children, when they are old enough to remember and care, on a Disney cruise. One fee and most things are included. THAT I can handle.
I loved taking my 3 year old to Disney this October and it was DH's first time as well. We are big nerds and want to go back when the kids are bigger to Universal.
I like Dunkin's iced coffe and Starbucks salted Carmel mocha. Cumberland Farms has the best and cheapest iced coffee ever!
I had a lovely nurse when I delivered DD (vaginal) who helped this over-anxious poster calm down, accept I needed an epidural, and kept us laughing through the hard pushing. I want her again this time around.
@christyM87 I wouldn't live in DC again, but I have fond memories. I love not dealing with traffic like that, fo' sho', but I miss the food and the free awesome museums and the public transportation.
Whereabouts are you? I actually lived all over the VA suburbs and worked in Old Town. If you're ever in or near Falls Church, please eat some Super Chicken for me, with yucca and lots and lots of dipping sauce. I yearn for it.
Also at Clarendon, Pete's Apizza - I have dreams of their pizza. Had first date with DH there. I am really quite hungry.

We are ordering Ledo's tonight, which is also good but not the same

I am on the Virginia side, not sure I have ever had Super Chicken.
I do love all the free museums and stuff. And I love the weather (I am originally from the Midwest, DC people don't know what real winter is)

My BIL and his wife live near there.... I LOOOOOOVE the wings at BonChon...they are AMAZING!!
OMG BonChon! So good! I don't even normally like fried chicken but they are amazing. There's one near my friend's house in Ellicot City (suburb of Baltimore) - they have been going there weekly since they discovered it and we are now obsessed too.
I don't really have a UO for today, but I will add that Starbucks is delicious. When I work mornings I always get something iced (even though it's usually below freezing outside). Lately it's a Grande Iced Chai Tea Latte, along with one of their breakfast sandwiches. My bill is usually around $10, but I only work a couple morning shifts a week so it's worth it to me. Caribou is another one of my favorites. : )

I'm soooo into spicy right now and their spicy wings are so hot it kills me but it sounds soooo freaking good right now!
Falls Chruch = Song Que's banh mi and bubble tea. My NT scan is near there next week and I'm going to order everything. I'm salivating as I type this.
That being said, if I could find a way not to go into city everyday, I would.
After getting pregnant on 1) birth control pill 2) actually trying without birth control...but having major problems when on the Depo shot and knowing a lady who got KU on a copper IUD, I am probably going to get my tubes tied after this LO.
My UO: I think the velociraptor joke is over-used! I laughed at 1st but now if I see it I'm like ugh please find something else to tease with. The bump has used this hideous little dinosaur way too much!!!!
My UO after a certain age or if they are severely blind old people should not be allowed to drive
My grandmother used to love to tell the story about having to lead her husband to the chair to have his picture taken for his driver's license because he couldn't see the chair. It made me giggle when I was little but now I just think OMG WHY DID YOU LET HIM GET ONE LADY??
On top of that a coworker's neighbor was just killed when an old man who couldn't see backed up into her in a parking lot. Absolutely tragic. You're welcome for the buzzkill.
It might just be the hormones, but just thinking of our upcoming DISNEY vacation has me teary eyed with excitement. I just... Love it So Much!!!!!!!! It's just so magical..
My UO - I don't like coffee. Maybe twice a year, I will be really tired or in a strange mood and will drink a small peppermint mocha. But for the most part, I really don't like the taste. Also, I get really intimated going into a starbucks type place because everyone that is there is a coffee expert and I feel so out of place (like I still call it a small, because I can never remember what is a venti or a grande or whatever).
But I LOVE disney! In a few years, MH and I plan to wake the girls up Christmas morning and surprise them with a trip to disney land. I can't wait! We took my oldest on a Disney cruise when she was 18 months and it was so fun to see her get so excited to see her favorite characters.
Trust me, they're not. You can say "small" and they will know what you mean .
I always say small/medium/large because I think saying grande sounds dumb. I'm not going to say something dumb just because everyone else is.
This may not be unpopular, but I think that if I can go through 2 pregnancies and 2 vaginal births (assuming that's what I'll have next), then my husband can get a little snip snip when we're all done. He's acting like this is too much for him to handle. Trust me--I get it. It's a surgery on your man parts, but I mean I think I've "taken one for the team" by this point.
(If I end up with an unexpected c-section, then it's a moot point because I'll just get "fixed" then.)
Yes!!!! My husband is dead set against getting snipped. I told him he needs to start mentally preparing now because I'm not taking birth control, using condoms or having a surprise baby 10 years down the road!!!
Its literally been suggested to me and every other poster who can't come up with a boys name.
Not sure if anyone else has pointed this out but the reason Nicodemus would be a kick ass name is because he was the leader of the Rats of Nimh... And if it's good enough to get respect from Mrs. Frisbee well...
This signature is all for YOU. I'm on mobile and can't see crap.

@young_ love You mean you won't order the Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity!!??
LOLOL you know, I have never wanted it. Probably because of the dumb name.
I have a huge fear of having a c section. My fear was so bad we ended up dropping out of our birth class because of it. I couldn't handle it. Yes-- I realize exactly how insane that makes me sound. Anxiety is no joke, yall.
I was terrified of the idea of a cs with my first. When they discovered she was breech and had already poo'ed there was no discussion just craziness trying to prep everything and get her out. I heard the word "c-section" and kind of went into a state of shock. I went icy cold and started shaking/trembling uncontrollably. They had to have one nurse just sit with me and talk about random soothing things the whole time. In the end, it wasn't as scary as I made it out to be in my head. When they announced her delivery time, I didn't even know they had started. And I was up and walking around less than 24 hours later. So I totally understand the fear, but just remember that if you end up having no choice (and I hope you don't end up without one) you will do awesome.
I would only ever lurk somewhere I wasn't familiar and possibly love-tit. I started reading yesterday's thread but pages before the BSC poster came in I got distracted with all the talk of kids parties and left to google places for my bonus son's bday party this May. Update: Kidsville Indoor Playgym, it is!

hahah this is cracking me up... I don't even know what UO is but I'm enjoying it...
the BNB girls are ridiculous. When I see some of those crazy names or spellings pop up on my class lists I immediately start judging those parents. Your kid doesn't have to have a "yooo-neek" name to be special. I think some of the BNB moms want to see their kids get made fun of?
And to the dDisney haters- yes it's pricey, yes it seems obnoxious but it's unlike any vacation experience you'll ever have. I use the word experience because as soon as you cross into the zone you have been transported to another country!) I can't wait until I can take LO there!!! (it helps if you have family that lives in FL- they get state resident discounts!)
