I'm not a fan of the ticker change threads, because there is a 4-5 week difference in the women in there. On DS' BMB we did check ins once a week by due date, and I think it was like the 1st-7th, 8th, 14th, etc. Then at least you were with people at the same stage as you. There's a lot of differences in 4-5 weeks of pregnancy.
After the correction of "rediculous" yesterday I must have subconsciously watched for it because I saw it about 5 more times from different people. So I must be a grammar police for the word ridiculous.
So I think spelling ridiculous wrong is ridiculous
@Beachy730 there also ends up being a lot of repeat I've noticed. All the people with the same date have a lot of the same answers, which gets a little boring.
Yeah, that's true. It's nice when it's time for a/s or things and everyone is similar, but other than that lots of repeat. I don't really read or participate in this one, but people seem to like it this way.

Yeah I like how we did that. It was better for people to relate more and who were having things done around the same time.
BFP#1- April 24th. M/c-April 30th. BFP#2-September 11th. EDD: May 25th.
It's a girl!!! (:
Madison arrived on May 19th at 6:35 am (:
Omfg....way too cold here to function!! Day 2 of bra free zone!! How am I supposed to go shopping without my bra on lol...in this weather?? Oh...and check this out!! We had a spare pomp problem in the basement, as the stale water started to stick, and the odor spread all over the basement. DH called his plumber friend, who told him what to do next. This morning DH goes: the basement doesn't smell anymore, but what is the stench in our bedroom?? The odor travels, I need to call the plumber again...it has got to be something in the pipes. I told him that it has got to be our farts...he said he did not fart a single time...well...needless to say, I was farting like a chimney the whole night...apparently to the point that requires plumber intervention lol. DH made me change the covers today to get rid of the residue smell that according to him, with this intensity will hunt us forever!!!!

I judge the shit out of people who go to Starbucks and order cold drinks on ice. It's literally like 3 gulps of liquid in a $7 cup of ice. At least get blended so you can enjoy the entirety of the beverage.
This signature is all for YOU. I'm on mobile and can't see crap.

I really like that idea of doing it by week. What does it take to change?
Married - April 2014 | Miscarriage - June 2014 BFP - Oct 2014 - was scheduled for IVF, but discovered we did it naturally instead! - first baby! EDD July 8

I judge people who act like there's a LOT of caffeine in a venti specialty drink. Starbucks only puts 2 shots in a venti, which amounts to approximately 150mg of caffeine. If your justification for buying a $5-6 drink is because you "need caffeine," then you need to reevaluate your priorities. There's more caffeine in an 8oz cup of Pike Place, and that will cost you less than $2.

In my defense, I get iced coffee and a large one is only $3. They have THE best iced coffee and I can't replicate it. I've tried multiple times. Don't judge me to harshly
My uo is that feel bad for Justin beiber. Yes he is a gross little brat that has too much money and doesn't know what to do with it. But he was living on his own with all this money at the age of 15. His mom was not just on the other side of the country.. But in Canada. His dad wanted nothing to do with him until he became famous and now is usually there partying with him when he gets into trouble. No child should ever have to parent themselves. And no child should have their parents helping them get wasted... Yes he has a ton of money, but no positive influences and that breaks my heart. I hope somehow he can get his shit together but I fear he'll be another Lindsay Lohan
Maybe an UO: DD iced coffee is by far superior to Starbucks, or any other brand for that matter.
Absolutely! I nevvvvvvver go to Starbucks, Dunkin has my heart. This morning it was 8 degrees and you better believe I got my iced coffee! They're only $1 right now for any size so that helps too
My UO was inspired by a picture I saw on Facebook...
...it bugs me when I see selfies of moms who are "sleeping" while cuddling with their baby. Your baby fell asleep on your neck and that in itself is adorable, but why do you have to pretend that you're conked out, too? We can see your shoulder and arm--we know you took the picture!
@amc2511 I've tried a few different types of coffee and I usually brew it stronger than normal because it will be over ice. I don't love Starbucks' hot coffee, I just like their iced. I'm not sure what type they even use... Do you have recommendations?
@tla0623 I'm not sure exactly how Starbucks makes theirs, but I worked at an independently owned coffee shop when I was in college, and we made iced coffee that was roughly comparable to what they serve at Starbucks. We used light to medium roast coffee (typically beans from Brazil or Colombia, and freshly roasted within the past week), ground the beans immediately before brewing, and used a LOT of coffee in relation to the amount of water. I'm not sure what the exact measurements would be for smaller-scale brewing at home, but we would use almost 1/4 pound of coffee per approximately 2 liters of water (but we would only run 1 liter through the brew basket at a time, let it drip through, then add the other liter). After brewing, we would chill the coffee in the fridge for at least 6-8 hours before pouring it over ice. Chilling the coffee after brewing is crucial, otherwise the hot coffee will melt the ice and the flavor will be diluted.
I think Starbucks adds something to their stuff...it's addictive! Dunkin is too weak tasting for me.
My UO: I have zero interest in Disney. I am friends with quite a few Disney Freaks (people who go 3-4 times a year and are All about it) and they make me even less interested in ever going. My poor kids will never experience Disney with their parents.
I don't like Dublin donuts. I think everything there is gross and leaves a weird taste in mouth. I also don't like coffee of any kind, iced tea is much cheaper.
In the twin cities, we don't have any Dunkins, although I think there's one in Duluth? Donut chains never seem to make it in MN (RIP Krispie Kreme). I got to experience them for the first time when visiting Chicago a bit ago. Love 'em!
I kind of feel the same about Disney. Its become overrated. But we did take our son there when he was 8 and we were on our "family moon." (He's my ss and we took him on our honeymoon since our whole wedding was our family coming together, couldn't leave him behind.) Knott's berry farm has far superior rollercoasters and its $33 a person anyway. Though I HATE rollercoasters.
My UO- I think names like Emma and Grayson that are becoming way popular are WAY better than the off the wall, Ezra, Seamus, and Nicodemus ones I see the "name correctors" posting on the baby name board.
I'd rather my kid be the 3rd Emma in her class as opposed to the only Nicodemus in the school.
Married 3.10.13
Finally pregnant after 20 months of trying, and 3 doses of Clomid!
10 year old step son who is excited to be a big brother!
I was really confused by the whole "America runs on Dunkin'" campaign, because at the time I lived in OKC and I think there was ONE, brand-new DD somewhere in the city.
Then I moved to DC and it all made sense. Ah, I miss DC.
Lol I live in DC and I hate it. I hate the huge city, I feel most people here act like entitled you know what, and the cost of living is ridiculous
Fortunately husband agreed prior to us getting pregnant that we would move back home before the baby starts kindergarten. Now I have a countdown
@Beachy730 I totally agree. I hate when mom's get all "but it's elective surgery" with me. My OB is 90% sure a baby will never make it out vaginally, last time my CS was an emergency after 2.5 hours of hard labor, I'll take RCS for sure this time thank you very much.
This may not be unpopular, but I think that if I can go through 2 pregnancies and 2 vaginal births (assuming that's what I'll have next), then my husband can get a little snip snip when we're all done. He's acting like this is too much for him to handle. Trust me--I get it. It's a surgery on your man parts, but I mean I think I've "taken one for the team" by this point.
(If I end up with an unexpected c-section, then it's a moot point because I'll just get "fixed" then.)
Me: 30; DH: 32
Married since 3/15/08.
Pregnancy 1: BFP on 1/24/11 - Molly born on 10/6/11!
Pregnancy 2: BFP on 11/5/14 - Baby #2 due on 7/17/15!
In between pregnancies, I've grown to love my "other" baby. The "carb baby", that's taken permanent residence in my belly, thanks to my overzealous love of bread, pasta and pastries. Hence my name.

Agree. My thinking is if you had a CS the first time around unless it was for like a breech or maybe multiples why would you try and torture yourself through labor when it could end in a RCS? I also like the whole here is the day and time to be here and we will deliver the baby. Makes planning so much easier. I am excited for another CS.
Yes! Being able to schedule it and be prepared is a huge plus. My parents live 12 hours away and will come down to stay with DS and the dogs, and then at least my mom is coming back for 2 weeks when H goes back to work. It's so nice being able to plan that and they can put in vacation days ahead of time, and not be waiting on labor like last time.

Does he have any friends who have had a vasectomy? The recovery is supposed to be much better for that than a tubal

Mine finally agreed that he would get one once we're finished having kids. It took a lot of discussing. It just makes more sense.

No he doesn't. It's just a fear of the unknown I think. He acts like they'll be castrating him with how dramatic he's being.

UO. Since we are on the topic. The idea of permanent birth control terrifies me. Maybe I will feel differently after a couple kids but right now when we talk about future methods after we are done I am always like but what if I change my mind.

Also, this is probably part FFFC, but I get really annoyed when people assume Im trying a vbac, or question why I'm not.

Swiss cheese isn't my favorite, but to say it shouldn't exist is a little extreme. There's a cheese for everyone.
My UO, because of the coffee chatter- Starbucks is so flipping overrated. Paying almost $4 for a small latte?? Um no thanks.
