I looked 3 times to make sure this wasn't started

I am up feeding LO, he slept almost 5 hours and I was soooo sore when he got up he was having to gulp milk down. I am holding him in my right arm with my phone in my hand so my elbow is bent.. When he got done he put his head where it's bent and is now snoring away.. Cutest thing ever

Haven't been out of the house in two days with my 5 week old! I was going to try to at least run to target today just to get some fresh air and pick up a few things..well it's going to be 10 degrees with a -15 degree wind chill. Guess it's another day in the house at least until hubby gets off work.

Operation get LO to sleep in the PNP (instead of rnp or swing): Night 1. Luckily its next to our bed, so I'm sitting here in the dark with one hand on his belly to soothe him. Getting up periodically to get a cookie that I made this evening. I feel like if I stay up I will somehow be less cranky than if I try to sleep and have to get up every 15 min. Not sure how long this is going to last.....

So an hour and a half ago when I was awake the nursery was a decent temp. Guess the cold front hit between now and then. It's freezing in here! We're gunna have to do something to LO's window before he starts sleeping in there.

So LO got his shots yesterday and slept all day long so I was expecting a rough night. He went to bed a 9:30.... He just woke up after 9 hrs!!!!!! Holy crap I feel great I never thought this day would come. I woke up at 2 and fell back asleep. Howeve my boobs are going to explode so much pain!!!!!!!!

Hopeful that daddy daughter date goes well @targetpopcornmomma‌

LO will sleep in his crib for his first 4-5 hour stretch and then not really the rest of the night waking up 20-30 minutes after you lay him down. Drives me crazy. My back is so stiff from ending up on the couch sleeping with him every morning.

LO has been in bed since 8pm last night. I'm assuming it's due to her shots yesterday. I've heard her fussing, but she keeps falling back asleep. She is going to be a monster when she finally does wake up!

Up for our 'MOTN' feeding. Hopefully LO will give me 3 more hours after this...

Lucky enough to be able to work from home, and while LO is still only 5 weeks, I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to manage. My old website was coming up for renewal so I couldn't put of redoing it any longer, I basically can't even touch it during the day because LO is awake and most of the time that means constantly bouncing him. DH is great though, he comes home and 'takes over' for a couple hours each night so I can work a bit but this is going to be haaaaard.

LO just wanted to sleep and eat after daycare. Then be wide awake from 10 pm-2:45 am. Back up at 5:00 to nurse and so I can get ready. I just want.to.sleep.

We have a very sleepy baby today. He slept through the diaper change and fell right back to sleep after his 5 am feeding. I went through my box of winter gear and found a ton of my favorite sweaters from pre- pregnancy. They fit! Like Christmas in a box. I also found my laptop bag and it fits my pump! Another find. 2 for 2 today!

Amen sister. Hugs to you!   This is hard!!   I got 4 hours of sleep last night, and I am back at work again.     DH was fired from babysitting duty today, LO is at MIL's. I feel so much better with him there than at home with DH.

I love my MIL.

DH was a crab ass last night, along with the baby......but this morning, he said that he feels like a failure because he cannot handle the baby.   I told him that I know its hard, I have been doing it for weeks now.    I know he feels bad for getting MIL to babysit when he isn't working, so I am sure I will go home to a nice clean house with all the laundry done.

@mander82 I didn't have much time for posting yesterday but when I read about your DH I wondered if he was feeling overwhelmed (and handling it terribly!). I know my husband would feel that way in that situation. I'm glad he was able to admit it this morning. First step toward working together as a team to get through this and be able to really enjoy LO!

LO started fussing like clockwork at 6, got her out of the crib and brough her to our bed she snuggled right up to me and slept another 2 hours. Its our routine and she likes it. I'll miss it when i go back to work.

Kaitlyn is 2 months today! Instead of her shots, we get to go get an ultrasound on her hips. Her pedi felt clicking - so we are going to get that checked out.

So our shots are next week, 4 days before we fly to Hawaii. I hope that we only have a few days of grumpy baby.

I hear ya. It sounds corny but Dr. Sears has a bit about "High needs" babies that i found really helpful. It's about finding positive affirmations to tell yourself that spin what frustrates you into a positive.

He isn't fussy, he is strong willed and knows what he wants. He's going to grow up to be a hard worker and strive for great things.

Not sleeping? He's active and alert. He's going to have so much energy and focus that helps him excel in school.

It doesn't always help me but sometimes it takes the edge off.

Hi and hugs mamas!

Still struggling here to get into a routine that included the house getting exercised on a daily basis. But otherwise going okay. My fun new challenge is that LO isn't pooping as regularly which has now resulted some morning fun. Two days ago, poopagedon, yesterday was a poopsplosion, and today was not quite a poopsplosion but a bit more than a blowout. I think I'd rather go back to more poopy diapers... it might be time to switch back to cloth during an early morning diaper change.

@Becks517‌ hugs! Lately I've been thinking that people say you'll miss this time when though are grown, but I definitely don't feel that in the moment. It sounds weird, but it helps me to imagine him in his diaper, snuggled up on my husband's shoulder. He looks so tiny and vulnerable like that it reminds me that he can't care for his own needs yet.

@BrittG13‌ I'm in a similar situation. I'm getting anxiety about it as we inch closer to fully reopening. LO needs to be held constantly, and so far baby wearing hasn't helped much to free my hands. My husband can take over some at night, but he has work too...plus I'm usually exhausted by that point and find it hard to concentrate. I don't know how this is supposed to work out

@zengal yes, it is such a relief ! MIL has already sent me 4 pics of him doing different things, just chilling out, looking around. DH called her the baby whisperer this morning....lol. LO will be back to MIL's tomorrow and friday. DH works. DH is off all next week, but we are going to have MIL watch him on Mon, Wed, and Friday next week. DH is going to attempt to do Tuesday and Thursday. He wants to try again, but I know he is scared. Hopefully he will have a good day with him Tuesday to rebuild his confidence.

I know its not just DH doing the wrong things with LO, because Gio acts the same way for me. When I got home last night he continued to cry regardless of what I did. He is 100% for sure meeting the criteria of colic nowadays. I read that it usually goes away around the 3 month mark....so I am just trying to get to that point.

About to start my 3rd day of work. I was getting frustrated yesterday. For some reason I feel guilty for paying attention to Beckham when the kids are around. I also feel bad when I'm giving my attention to the girls and not Beckham:( ugh.

Idk what I am going to do when one of the girls is crying and Beckham is crying. Do I pick up the girls first and console them, or do I console Beckham.

I officially have a sinus infection...I'm waiting at the pharmacy to pick up a prescription, it really stinks to be low on sleep, tryin to care for Ronan, and sick. Ah, the joys if motherhood right?! At least he slept better last night though...only up three times!

Those of you who have had cracked nipples from nursing...how long did it take before you healed??! I am on week five of cracked nipples and painful nursing, we hired a lactation consultant, and she showed me where our latch was bad, but I have been nursing with the improved latch for two weeks...it has gotten better but still is cracked and painful. Please tell me there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Hugs to all you ladies :x I'm sorry I haven't been on to jump in the last few days but it's been crazy busy over here. I have been love tiring and staying up to date.

So I agreed to watch my 9 year old niece this week while she is on vacation. Why did I agree to this the week before I go back to work and during LO's shots? I love her to death but she needs constant entertaining and it is draining. She has been helping with bottles and diapers but I can't entertain two kids on no sleep.

LO got shots yesterday and he has been cranky all night. Then my niece woke up with a bad dream right When I was just falling asleep. I got about two hours of sleep. I don't know how you Mamas do it with more than one!!

This morning I had to give LO some Tylenol because he could not get comfortable and he has a low fever. He is finally resting comfortably but now my niece is wide awake. And on top of all this my mom had to put her dog of 13 years to sleep and she is emotional.

I'm hoping my mom will take my niece to the movies so I can get a break and nap while LO is napping. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Also, I need to buy new bras, pants and shoes for work. Wtf body?? I hate you so much right now!! Gah.

Just think of it this way, if one child has been fed, clean, and safe and the other needs to eat or be changed..take care of the one that's needs are more important in that moment and then console the other when the first is taken care of.

I would go by age, severity, and who would be quicker to make happy. If both Beckham and one are the girls are hungry and upset it is easier to fix a quick snack for an older child before feeding LO.

If they are both just fussy you might be able to tell the older child that you need to grab the baby first and then you will help her.

I don't know if it still applies with your situation, but this is what I do with DD and DS.

Great advice! The 4 year old is very understanding. It's the 2 year that can be a pain!

2 month visit went well and he calmed pretty quickly after shots. 24 inches and just under 12 pounds!

She is hoping she can get a cerclage and go home, but I don't think it will be that simple. I am scared for her and her babies and I think she is in denial about how serious this could be.

I am no expert but I didn't think they placed cerclages that late or if you were already ruptured. Hope to hear good news about your friend. Very scary.

Are you using any nipple cream? It took a few days with the Rx cream. A little longer with OTC.

This - if you're not already I'd get some polysporin (otc cream similar to neosporin). That helped me a ton! It's meant for healing open skin not just for soreness.

@Becks517‌ I'm sorry you're having such a rough time

My therapist gave me "homework" to do one thing just for me each week, without LO. It can be anything--taking a walk, having lunch with a friend, getting a Mani/pedi, going to the gym, etc. It's really helped me out! Once a week is manageable, for the most part, and gives me time to regroup.

This part is probably silly, but I'm so tired I forget what I did during my "me time" so I started keeping a list. It helps me realize if I haven't done anything for myself in a while, and it's nice to see that list and remember how relaxing each of those times were

@silverwings72‌ That sounds super stressful! I hope your mom is able to give you a bit of a reprieve soon!

Have been trying to get LO to nap in the pnp bassinet. Every time I think that she is asleep enough to transfer, she wakes up. Trying to get her familiar with the pnp bassinet so she can sleep overnight instead of the RNP.

LO found his hand and has been sucking on it non stop, which is totally fine except now when he is eating he slips his hand in there and doesn't really eat. If I put the bob away he gets mad even though he isn't even touching it... I guess he just likes having the option
