Now that all the holiday gifts have been opened can we talk about FP Little people? Favourite sets? Obnoxious sets to avoid? We have a little batman and joker and DD likes to make them "dance" (shake in the air) and "run" so I'm thinking she might like a set. How long do we think these will be age appropriate? TIA!
We have lots too. The Princess Castle is a huge hit. She also loves the farm (we left the big farm set at my mom's) and the doll house one. We have two smaller sets, a little farm and a little cottage and the also got a ton of hand-me-down LP from my SIL. My niece and nephew only just recently outgrew them (within the last 1.5 years) so they lasted until Declan was about 4ish (I'm sure my niece who is two years older only played with her brother by that point, likely not on her own).
@subliminalrabbit M shoves everything in the silo too. She "hides" the sheep in there all the time and pretends it's lost. She expects anyone who's watching to repeatedly ask her "where's the sheep?" As she fake looks around the whole barn and floor until she magically finds it in the silo. Then we must clap and cheer. If we don't, she claps for herself until we start.
So... B has the barn/tractor set and a random helicopter and a boat for the bath. But... I didn't know the barn tractor made noise? Is that what I am reading here? There are sounds that go with it? Apparently.. I have never turned it on? (Ps- typing that out made me feel like a total moron - but whatever). That aside, B freakin loves that farm! And the other sets that that matter.
We had old school little people when I was growing up, and my sibling and I played with them for YEARS. I have very vivid memories of being about 7 or so and setting up all of our LP sets in the basement in this huge town. I wish my mom still had them so I could play with them more with B.
We have the plane. It's pretty obnoxious. It only has one song (although it has a few other phrases). The worst thing is that it plays the whole song any time the wheels move at all, so even a nudge starts it singing.
Re: TTMA FP Little People
And most importantly, is there a switch to turn off the music? Are they still fun without the music on?
And we also had the old school barn. And this A frame house- which I LOVED
