My son just turned two 12-26 and i just found out i was pregnant today with a surprise baby. My hubby and i are ok with the new baby but we are trying to figure this out so any advice would be helpful! We have been trying to transition to a big boy bed for weeks, just had our son put in a very expensive daycare, and had a huge potty training regression so any advice would go a long way.
My DD is 9 months old, we were trying to be here (had an early loss when DD was 7 months old) & I'm really excited for 2u2. I know it will be difficult, but it seems like a fun challenge, we can go through it together.
I have a 15 month old, and will therefore have 2 under 2 for about a month. I think it will be hard for maybe 6-9 months until DD becomes a little more independent (and the new baby becomes more of a baby and less of a newborn -- those first 8-12 weeks are HARD)
DS is 16 months old, so he will be turning 2 at the same time as this baby is born (I really hope they don't have the same birthday!). I was a S13 mom as well (DS was born in August though!)
Yes. My daughter is 9 months but because she was a micropreemie developmentally she is more like a 6 month old. I'm am nervous too. Her and her brother are 21 months apart and it has been pretty easy though so that is somewhat reassuring.

I will have 2u2 as well. DS will be around 1yr9mo when this baby comes. I'm really excited about it but nervous about the extreme exhaustion I'm sure to face. So good to know there are several of us in the same boat!
When my middle daughter was 8 months old, I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd daughter. It was exhausting. I just took it one day at a time. The new baby was the easy part, it was the terrible 2's and 3's of the other one that killed me LOL!

I have a 3 year old and a 17 month old...my two are 20 months apart. Having two close has it's challenges, but it's great seeing them grow up together.

Same! @PixiesDust, my first was Oct 13 too! I remember you! I will have 2u2 for about a month also.
My DS will turn 2 about 2 weeks before my edd. I feel like terrible 2's may have jumped the gun and hoping the transition from only to older will be a smooth one
My DS will almost be 2 1/2 by the time #2 is here. It's hard to wrap my head around because I would like to cut back on working right now I am FTWM so we r figuring out what we can do. But nervous since my son is such a mamas boy too always wants me picking him up. But mothers have done this for many years so I'm sure I'll figure it out!
I have a 19 month old. He'll be just over 2 when this one is born. Our biggest goal was to have them two grade levels apart and we'll just make that with this one.
My first two are just about 21 months apart and then this one and my second will be 20 months apart. It's not terrible. I can't speak to kids being closer. Two in diapers sucked a bit - we do cloth and I was washing so often but then my son potty trained at just under 2.5 and it was great.
My ds just turned a year old a few days ago. He will be 18 months when this jelly bean is born. It's going to be difficult but seeing as I'm an irish twin with a brother 10 months younger I know how fun it can be from the child's point of view to have a close sibling. I'm very excited!
You ladies will be very busy! I have a 17 month old and pregnant again. They will be 25 months apart I wish you both the best of luck with your pregnancy and little ones
DS will be 22 months when this baby is born. I'm scared as hell. DH is so excited. His brother is 1.5 years older and they are really close. He wanted our kids to be close in age.
Don't force it mom. I am also pregnant with my second child and my son will be three on the 21st. I think if u push yourself and ur little one too much plus a new baby on the way, you will go crazy. Enjoy the ride. Potty training is hard and he is only two, you have time. I let my son know he has to set a good example for his new sibling and it gets him excited to do things like potty on his own. Give it a try. Hope this helps. Good luck
Hi all congratulations I have 2 girls, oldest is 6 and little one is just turned 7 months. Number 3 due date is around 1st September.I am scared as I know it will be hard but so worth it and I have more than enough love to give. If any one has any tips or advise I'm all ears
I have one year old DD. I can't imagine how I will get through the day with both babes and zero sleep but hopefully it will work out better than I'm anticipating.
My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow. Please pray for my uterus.
I'm being featured in a new pregnancy/motherhood blog during the month of October, so if you ever wanted to know more about my pregnancy, birth, and motherhood experiences than anyone ever should, check out my posts in the link below!
My first was 6 months old when I found I was pregnant with #2. They are 15 months apart and I loved it. I am expecting #6, he/she will be 2 years younger than my youngest. My #4 & #5 are 23 months apart. You can do this, it will just be exhausting for the first couple of years.
Re: does anyone have a young child and is pregnant again?
I'm sure there are others that will be 2 under 2, but there is also a board for 2u2 if you want to check it out. https://forums.thebump.com/categories/two-under
I'm sure it will be tough, but lots of people do it all the time. Good luck!
