I've been doing mine thanks for the tip about a adding bf I don't think I can even eat that many calories. Without that 500 the past 3 days I've logged I've been close to my calorie goal kinda happy I can eat more
Can you use it just to track exercise (not food)? I've counted calories in the past and I hate it so I'm not really interested in that aspect but the idea of a support group is appealing.

Yeah, I started the gym on Sunday. I'm still sore.
I feel like if I get a routine down, I'll be good to go. DH said he'd put her to bed two nights a week so I can go to the gym after work. I'm hoping to hit Saturday and Sunday too.
As far as BFing goes, I'm still nursing at 7.5 months. She already gets some formula so if my supply takes a huge hit, I'm not going to be that upset. I just really like "our" time when we nurse in the morning and the evening.
Hi to all my neglected summertime MFP pals!! I'm "mariamagenta" on there. I am within 4 pounds of my pre pregnancy weight. But unfortunately that was 25 pounds over my "skinny" weight. Not sure if that first weight will ever be attainable again since I was a smoker at that weight but I'd like to be within a clothing size of it. So while I'm happy more clothes are fitting I do feel my journey is halfway and the hard work is beginning.
btw does anyone else have the problem where MFP says they have lost zero pounds? I think it holds onto ancient data and while it lets me restart my start weight, the profile will not reflect it. It's a little thing but I've lost 31 pounds and I'd like to see that on my profile instead of "mariamagenta: 0 pounds lost LOSER LOLZ" damnit
My goal is to get back into my skinny pre pregnancy clothes. I weighed 142 before my pregnancy. 180 on birth day. I weigh 155 now. Pretty much can squeeze into "fat" clothes but not all my slimmest stuff. I was running half marathons before pregnancy and running until 16 or so weeks. I was getting back to running on maternity leave but when I went back to work, my exercise died.
Yes. She's a great sleeper. 10-12 hours straight at night. I just started back at the gym. It's hard to juggle work, pick ups from DC, home, dinner and gym. Luckily, DH agreed to do dinner and put E to bed two week nights a week so I can go to the gym at night.
I weighed 135 before pregnancy, 170 at 40+4, 146 at 9 days PP and 143 now. Boo.
Also I like food. The struggle is real.

@becole42 - So sorry for the novel. I hear you on the no downtime and wanting to just chill in the time before bed. I couldn't agree more with you. By the time E is in bed, dinner dishes are picked up, and the bottles and food for her have been made and packed in the fridge for DC, its 8/8:30pm.
DH is watching E (dinner, putting to bed) on Tuesdays/Wednesday nights so I can go to my classes (see below). I also will go to the gym on Saturday/Sunday mornings. DH will watch her then too or I could take her with me. My gym has childcare for up to 2 hours a day for $15/month. That's 4 days a week which is better than what I've been doing. I also started meal planning. It seemed a necessity since E is eating with us. I don't want to make two meals so this is what I needed to make sure I was preparing healthy, well-balanced meals. Plus, I want to be a good role model for her.
I have to drive to the gym - its about 10 minutes away. It's a Gold's Gym and they have a great group fitness schedule. I do so much better in classes then I do on treadmills, ellipticals, etc. I do Les Mils Body Combat (kickboxing/high cardio), Body Pump (strength/weights), CX Worx (core toning), and occasionally a yoga class. All of the classes are included in my gym membership. I feel like the hour or so I'm there goes by so quickly and I've made some decent friendships with the other people in my classes.
I know it works because I went from being a size 8 and weighing 145 in August 2011 to being a size 2/4 and weighing 135 lbs for my wedding in September 2012. I kept the weight off until I get pregnant.

I have mommy guilt too; however, I am resolved to be an active, fit, healthy mom. It's really not just about my weight though. I want her to know that being active is an important part of life. I plan on getting a jogging stroller in the Spring and taking her with me when the days are longer.
Would your DH be willing to do 1-2 nights a week? Even if you can't go to a physical gym - just set aside 30 minutes and do your home gym? Maybe during dinner time - he can feed/watch your LO?

My MFP name is the same as my bump name. DH got me a fitbit for christmas (LOVE it!!). Only problem is I was able to get out a bunch of times to run/jog since and was making some good progress. But now that we finally got hit with winter I haven't been able to really get out. I was putting DD in her jogging stroller (MANY thanks to the ladies who recommended their's in my past thread! I got a barely used baby jogger summit x3 on craigslist for $250!!). I got a weather cover and made a nice stroller blanket/snuggle to put around her. But it's so darn cold I don't really even wanna do that to her! And this week she's been sick now. DH works nights (leaves home at 5pm, home at 3am and sleeps until 10-11ish) so it's been hard to find a consistent time to get out and run.
UGH! Why do I have to love food so much?! Salads just don't cut it lately. I want a giant pack of cookies! haha ...oh and some chocolate milk... I've been good and cut dairy out completely the past 2 weeks, but man I really want a tall glass of milk!
