Thanks for the check-in, AnnaClaire!

We decided to BD at 24 hours past trigger and 36 hours past trigger, knowing that DH's counts would then be much lower at 36 hours when I (painfully) O'ed those (5) follies. And also knowing that his sperm has little chance of surviving and getting to the eggs with bad motility and no forward progression. The idea was, get sperm where God could give us a miracle short of the virgin birth, but not scare ourselves with HOM.

At 8DPO, just starting to get really strong, almost painful cramps. So either it's AF gearing up, implantation cramping (come on, guys, I know you would all be hoping the same thing, no matter how silly that is), or just some odd cramps from progesterone- and binge-eating induced constipation.

@BunnyBerry I will be crossing my everything for a New Year's miracle for you! And yes, any of us would be holding out those same hopes!

I'm still waiting for AF to show up. It's been 10 days since my last provera pill. I guess if it it doesn't come by the end of the week I'll be calling my REs office anyway. As you all know, all this waiting is just so frustrating!

@lovegrilledcheese - So sorry about the BFN.

I am 10dpiui. My hopes have been pretty dramatically crushed by the sustained temp drop that I have been seeing. It is especially frustrating since it is so early and usually I can keep it up until at least day 13. Is it ok, if I am secretly hoping that my thermometer is broken or that the new meds have severely screwed up my temps? Also, in addition to the enormous amounts of food, ridiculous mood swings (I cried over not being able to find my fleece lined leggings yesterday.), the progesterone is giving me canker sores. FUIF!

@shafwilson - urgh that is so frustrating, almost as bad, if not worse that the 2WW. Come on AF.

@laurensc927 - We have the same beta date. FX

AFM, I'm 3dpiui - we were supposed to do back-to-back IUI's but DH was so stressed out he wasn't able to. I felt horrible, it just brings him down. We were able to BD later on during the day. But at least we got 70 million post wash w/66% motility. This particular office doesn't test morph, which is frustrating, but I'll take those numbers anyday. After 3 months of clomid for DH, he's been on supplements of L-Carnitine & multi-vitamin. Re is removing the dx of mild MFI for DH. YAY!!!. I've never tested out my trigger so I'm going to try that out this cycle. How long does it usually last in your system?

@mshandlebar Oh great, the progesterone can cause canker sores on top of everything else?? IF gives us so many things to look forward to!

@lovegrilledcheese So sorry about the results. Eff everything.

Tested yesterday and today - 12dpiui - BFN. Going to stop the progesterone so I get my period and then I'll cancel my beta appointment. This was our fourth consecutive medicated cycle, and I've decided to take the next of off from treatments. I'm sick of feeling like shit, I need a break.

Good morning -

IUI#1 ended in a BFN when AF arrived yesterday so now i'm onto CD3 bloodwork and sono tomorrow to begin IUI#2. DH is going to the urologist today to see what we can do about his low motility and morphology so FX that we can find some help with that.

Hi Ladies,

Long time lurker - first time poster over here.

1- we are on IUI number 1, combined with femara cd3-7 5mg and progesterone from 1dpiui 400mg/day. We are now 5dpiui in the tww process

2-IUI number 1

3- Beta is scheduled for Jan 13th

QOTW - introvert 100%

I'm going to go back an read all the posts in here to familiarize myself with everyone. Like everyone else, I never thought I would find myself here - the femara and the trigger have been a rough go for me.

Hey ladies! There are so many new faces in our check ins lately...I love it! Welcome, yall!

I know I haven't been around a lot but I'm always reading, praying and pulling for you. GL to all of you in the 2ww and hugs to those that need them. Let's start seeing some new year BFPs! 2015 is our year!!!!

AFM: I FINALLY had AF show up on CD49. I was beginning to think I had a provera prescription coming up soon. After 3 perfect 28-day natural cycles, I was hoping my body was actually regulating itself and doing what it's supposed to. No dice. Oh well, guess that's why there's medicine! Anyway...I was intending on going for IUI #3 this cycle but we just found one of our fur babies is going to need an intense and rather expensive surgery later this month. There's no way we can cover the cost of that and treatments so I'll be hanging out on the bench for another month. Such is life. She's priority. What's another month, right?

QOTW: I think 98% I'm an extrovert. I tend to be a little more shy when I first meet people but I think that's the case for most people.

Hey ladies! I'm on CD 11 over here, with a left side follie at 14.5 at yesterday's scan. I go back on Wednesday for another u/s, to hopefully trigger that night for IUI #3. I took the Christmas Eve eve BFN pretty hard and am just starting to feel better/more hopeful.

QOTW: I'm a big-time extrovert. If there are any other psych-nerds out there, my MBTI profile is ENFJ: so basically I'm an extrovert who relies on feelings and intuition to gather information and make decisions.

@murrt praying that this hail mary does the trick for you!! FX so hard!

@AnnaClaire256 thank you for doing the check-in! I'm glad AF finally showed up for you. I'm so sorry that your fur baby needs surgery and that you are benched again, but I hope you have a shorter cycle so that you can move on to treatments.

@cupcakegal930 I'm so sorry for the BFN . It was an awful feeling for me when IUI #1 didn't work out, so I'm sorry that you are going through that now. I hope the urologist has a good plan for helping your H's motility and morph.

@mshandlebar I hope the dropping temps don't mean anything. I totallyyy know what you mean about the progesterone SEs-- I cried over a Selena Gomez song for crying out loud. I'm sorry for the canker sores, that sucks .

@lovegrilledcheese I'm so sorry for the BFFN. Just curious, since I suspect I have endo, what do you mean by endo pain coming back? Is it like early period cramps?

@shafwilson Ugh, sorry you are still waiting! Waiting is the worst. I hope AF gets here soon.

@lovegrilledcheese that sounds incredibly awful. I have nothing even close to that, but my blocked tube and LP spotting point to endo as a possibility. I'm trying to prepare myself if my new RE recommends a lap... I think it would be more clear of a decision to go for one if I had pain indicative of endo, but maybe the tube and spotting are enough. Thank you for sharing with me though, I appreciate it.

AFM we are still taking a break to pursue foster to adopt or adoption through our local CAS. We are thrilled to start our training next week and have been keeping busy getting the room ready! QOTW: I would say I am equal introvert and extrovert. Probably lean toward introvert. My job does require more extrovert with leading meetings, conferences and trainings. But I do like my quiet alone time!

I'm currently 4dpt, 2dpiui. Despite the holiday nonsense I ended up triggering 1/1 like my RE recommended as my OPKs were starting to darken. Had typical O pains 1/3 (my IUI) and my temps are rising like they should, so I *hope* it all worked out. Starting progesterone tomorrow if temp definitely confirms O. Currently 4dpt, 2dpiui #2. We had been having all the sex bc I wasn't sure how things would play out/when I would O since no second US, but even without abstaining we had 20 million motile sperm post-wash.

QOTW: definitely an introvert here!

@mademewafffles - my first RE indicated she didn't have a set maximum number since all cases were different. On my 4th cycle with Clomid I had to change to Femara since my lining thinned. I took Femara for another 2 cycles.

1.I am currently on CD2- I will start meds (Letrozole) tomorrow CD3-7
2. This will be IUI #3
3. N/A-More than likely IUI will be done next Sat (as my cycles are pretty normal) If this is the case, my Beta will be 01/31-will update once I know for sure.

@madamewaffles‌ have done WELL over 6 cycles with clomid. My RE doesn't abide by the 6 cycles rule. She says that there has been no research that conclusively shows a link between clomid and ovarian cancer.

She considers "success" with clomid to mean ovulation not pregnancy. Since clomid has made me ovulate like I should, and hasnt given me adverse side effects (like a thinned lining) she sees no reason to switch me off of it. We did have to go through all of the testing to ensure we didn't have any other factors working against us.

Like @BlueFairy5‌ said, I think the 6 cycle limit is more of a guideline at which they would probably suggest moving on to more aggressive treatments....but I wouldn't fret too much over the number of cycles as long as you're responding well

@AnnaClaire256‌ I would like to be added, please! I just had IUI #4 yesterday. This cycle, we did five days femara 5mg, another 5 days femara 7.5mg which resulted in a 27mm, 21mm & 17mm follicle one day before IUI. I feel genuinely positive about the cycle as everything seems to be falling in to place. My beta day will be Tues Jan 20.

2. Which IUI are you on? 1st
3. Test/Beta day? Not sure. I don't know if my RE's office will tell me that at my appt. on Saturday or if I just do the 2WW and test at home. All new to me!

QOTW: I'm more of an extrovert. Totally one of those people who can sit and talk for hours to a random person sitting next to me on a plane and feel like I've known them forever. My dad always thought I was kind of crazy for that "talent" as he calls it.

@lindy04aggie, I'm ready for football season to be fun around our house again! DH is a Northwestern alum, so watching his team play rarely ever enjoyable and usually causes lots of screaming and near meltdowns for poor DH. But once the Longhorns can get back on their game, I'll at least have fun again!

So sorry for the late post. I am a teacher and we went back to work Monday, so it's been crazy getting back into the swing of things.
I am still in my 2ww. I get my blood test done on Jan 16. @sweetball33‌ we share the same test date. Fx for you.
@mshandlebar‌ I am curious about why you take your temps. I have taken my temp back when we were first trying to track ovulation, but was never told anything about tracking temps during the 2ww. Can you please explain how that works?
To all of you who had a bfn I seems virtual hugs and lots of wine. You have the right to cry all you want. To those of you on the 2ww I hope you are able to find ways to keep busy. Reading, movies, binge watching. Work is helping me keep busy.
And to all of those on a break, may you get the rest your body needs to come back strong!!
