  Here's what bugs me. You make me get my baby undressed, you make me take little naked baby to go get labwork, and then you make me wait in the lab for like 20 minutes before anyone attends to us. I don't have an 8 year old. I have a damn baby. A naked and cold and irritated baby. I'm about to take your needles and jam them up your butt, lab technician.

  Yes. Most of the doctors here charge some type of fee if you call to cancel/reschedule the day before.
  
  My husband has a job where he is on call 24/7 and leave for weeks at a time with no notice. His dentist is constantly charging us even though I call as soon as I know he will be missing. It's very annoying.

  I work at an office and we have a $25 fee, but not if it's due to weather. That's ridiculous.

  I would definitely call again! So schools are closed because they don't want the school age children out and about in the bitter cold, but you should have to take your 4 month old out?! That is ridiculous.

  Um...Chicago weather was just mentioned on the national news. I would def. call again. Maybe the dr will decide to stay home!

  Call again in the morning and then if they say they are still going to charge you, I would seriously tell them that you will attend or pay this one time (whatever you decide) but you are finding another doctor that cares more for their patients then to make the $50.00.

  
  

  I get it that they have to keep this from being an issue but this is ridiculous. I might also mention you feel very comfortable voicing factual information via social media.

  You can call (or at least threaten to call) the Better Business Bureau and report them.  I'm a purchasing agent and use this tactic a lot.  Usually by the time I start asking for federal ID #, employee # (of the person who is telling you you can't reschedule), etc. they give me what I want. ]

  Oh and her hemangioma has improved significantly. I'm really happy with how the treatment is going.
