Uptown - First Time Moms

Hubs and I just moved to Dallas from Chicago, and I'm due with our first on April 27th. We don't really have any family or friends in Dallas, and I was just wondering if there are any FTMs in/near Uptown who would want to get together. Hope to hear from you all soon.

Ladies - Let's plan a meet up! We have to decide whether weekday (during the day) or weekend is better. Also, are we aiming for before Christmas or after (just since I know it can tend to get chaotic during this season)? Finally, does everyone want to stay in touch via the bump or an email group? I can do either - just let me know!

@yellowjellybeans Have you done the prenatal yoga at Pea in the Pod (I think) right around there? I want to try it out. I'm definitely up for a Katy Trail walking club!

@Venus04 What is a double dinner thing? Whatever it is, it sounds good to me! August... so you're still in 1st trimester? How are you feeling?

What about next Thursday at 7:00 pm, maybe? Or Saturday lunch? Oh, and by "double" I meant perhaps we could bring our husband's along. I'm sure since we're all having firsts they might like to chat with soon-to-be dads that are local too! Or just a girls' thing. I'm cool either way.

Thursday, the 12th at 7 works or a Saturday lunch both work for me. I'm all for the double dinner, but it will have to be someplace yummy (and not too expensive) in order to convince the hubs to come. He's super introverted when meeting people the first couple times, but once he opens up, he's a riot and great with kids (thank goodness). ;-)

Hi! This is great! I can't wait for us all to meet up! Dinner and future walking group on Katy trail sounds awesome. Unfortunately, Dinner on thursday the 12th doesn't work for me, I have a work commitment. Is anybody free on Wednesday the 11th at 7? So sorry to be the one that has the conflict! My due date is quickly approaching (January 14) so I'd love to get together before Christmas just in case our little one makes an early arrival. We are going on a little baby moon the weekend of December 13-15. I personally would most likely check email more than the bump - would you all want to start an email group? I can set it up of you all send me your email addresses. Let me know! Also I'm delivering at medical city, anybody else? Looking forward to meeting you all!

I work from home, but we'll be putting our little one in a spanish immersion day care 2 days a week. I can't remember the name of the one recommended to us, but I'll look it up if you're interested in going that route. Hubs is Puerto Rican with all of his family still in PR, so I'm doing everything I can to try to make sure our LO is bilingual.

We're also looking for day care (dallas/richardson near work)...i hear Childrens Choice Learning Center (Medical City) is pretty good...

Hi ladies! We missed you at the meetup. However, those of us who made it thought that it might be easier for most if we just made a group on facebook instead of having thebump, meetup, and email chains going around.

The fb group is pretty much for ladies who are delivering sometime in 2014 or FTMs who are still in their first year of mommy-hood during 2014. Ex. I'm a FTM due April 27 2014, so I'll drop out of the group after April 2015.
