I have something to add that shows a little insight into Corrine's motives but I'm going to save it because it's in chapter 6 or 7.
I really feel like the twins characters were written poorly. They are supposed to be 5 and they speak more like two or three year olds sometimes. And the fact that their older brother and sister have to bathe them and dress them seems a little off. The bathing I get for the most part. But having to dress them? My three year old can almost completely dress herself without help.
I don't think that a lot of attention was paid to the age appropriate development of the twins because it wasn't a main point in the story. At this point they're just there for Cathy to take care of. She's also the one retelling the story and that might have been how she saw it.
guiltypleasures I am a really fast reader for 1 so that kind of sucks in "book club" form. I have never done one before.
I had to keep reading the series to find out what happened to those kids. It makes me sad to see how detrimental it really was.
I don't think I have ever read a book by her before these so I am interested in other things she has written to read after I finish this book I am on and I want to say there is 1 more but I am not sure if its out yet or not.
