Any advice on turning baby?

Re: Any advice on turning baby?

  • @SaraL1175, no, you're not responsible for other people's stupid, for sure. But you are responsible for the words you put out there. You said a real doctor would be horrified. Yep, and you heard about it.

    @thedish0207 beat me to it, but your anecdote made it seem like you exercised SOME level of control given how you told it on the board. Your friend's quick delivery was clearly out of her control. Do you see the difference in how people might read that?

    Again, I KNOW you're not recommending it. But there is power behind your anecdote.

    Ladies, you can't reason with some people. Especially a mom of 3+ who feels it is totally fine ethically to do whatever she feels, despite being high-risk, and also risk her own life and her baby's life when she is responsible for others.

    And then tell about it on an internet board and THEN tell other anecdotes that are unhelpful, unsafe and probably marginally true. She has some insight into this situation given that she acknowledges that physicians would be "horrified" however wants to get all defensive because her actions are grossly negligent in every sense of the word.

    @chicagojackie‌

    I'm not sure what you want me to do.

    1. I'm sorry I shared. Unless the moderator wants to delete the thread, it's there.

    2. Nobody should try to do a version at home. Many doctors refuse to do them because even in the hospital they are risky.

    3. If the doctor calls for a csection, I agree and defer to their medical judgment.

    ? Any further items that you wish to take issue with?

  • @chicagojackie‌ I'm completely serious. I apologize. Can @dorothygale01‌ can delete the thread?
  • Op- You still have time. In the meantime you can check out sites like spinningbabies.com. I don't have any experience in turning a baby, just advice my midwife recommended. Such as paying attention to posture when you sitting down and driving. Also sleeping on your left with a pregnancy pillow, between your knees and under your belly, with your arms at your side, well your left arm behind you. I honestly can't put my arm behind me, it feels so out of place. I'm sure most of us, have probably adopted this position already. Anywho, just some passed on tips, but again you have time.
  • In all seriousness- I'm going to a chiropractor because the way my hips are aligned they're narrowing the lower part of my uterus. She's working on realigning them to create more room for the baby to rotate. That and I've got low fluid so hydrating like crazy is my other attempt.
