This is Lucy's new thing, she nurses and then pulls of to use her new pinchers (fingers) to pinch my nipple, as if shes going to feed herself a cheerio.

I keep telling her to stop playing with her food, but she laughs at me, which then makes me laugh, so now she does it all the time.

DD has been doing that forever! I think rubbing my breast is comforting to her while she's nursing, but then she always seeks out my nipple so that she can pinch it. I don't really mind when she does it lightly, but she can really hurt sometimes!

Yes.. Oh yes.

This problem is especially prevelant when I am side lying nursing and he stands up. He'll be bent at the waist (perpendicular to the bed) either looking at me or away. IF that other breast catches his eye WOWZA! Nipple pinch.

Course I may be the only momma of a stand up nurser...

Yep DD does this sometimes too. It's strange to me. I usually stop her because she'll start flicking. She also slaps my boob while I am nursing her...loudly. This is one reason why I can't BF in public.

Lucy does this now too, or she gets violent and squeezed while shes nursing. :P

Oh no, you are not alone. This frequently happens at bed time when I let DD crawl around the bed and nurse as she pleases until she wears herself down. She is all about the standing nursing!

DD did when she was younger but DS hasn't viewed them as a toy yet...more like a teething bud.....it is PAINFUL! i'd take the pinching and prying and poking over the biting anyday....or no pain in general would be nice!

No, but my son has started pulling my shirt down to look at my boobs sometimes- like he's making sure they're still there if he wants some later. lol.

Oh yes, its like he is on a seek and destroy mission. He pinches it and picks at the skin around it. Especially the left one.

DS will grab right above the nipple with both hands and stretch my boob, then pinch and stretch again. he normally doesn't play with the nipple though- as soon as he sees it he spits whatever is in his mouth out and comes at me with a wide open mouth.

Yep! And I cracked up when you said it's like she's going to feed herself a Cheerio, because that's exactly how it seems to me! He's hurt me a few times, so I quickly stop him when he's going for them!
