Must. Keep. Eyes. Open. LO has only been asleep 10 minutes in the rocking chair, only 20 more to go before I will try to move him to his R&P. I'm trying to read a book but it's making me sleepier. So I alternate between TB, Trivia Crack (apparently my friends don't sleep either), FB, and my book. Agh.
Good luck to the moms going to work! It'll be tough, but it'll get easier and you'll get into a routine. My thoughts are with yall!
LO fell asleep on DH last night. Was out. Cold. I moved her to the bassinet, wide freaking awake. Sigh.... I just want some sleep. Now I'm up nursing with a horrible stomach ache. Please don't be a bug
Oh man! Get to bed!!! The lilly sale starts in six hours!!! I wish LO would get to sleep- this momma has her alarm set for 7!
Eek!!! You're waiting for it, too? I think we just became best friends.
@targetpopcornmomma...good luck at your appointment today!! Praying for peace and comfort for you in regards to your surgery. You're almost through this hurdle!!
Good luck to all mommas going back to work today. You'll do great and be home to your baby in no time.
We were just starting to get some great 5-hr stretches of sleep around Christmas time, and now the last three nights we've been up every 2 hours or less! Ughhhhh! Her adjusted age is 5.5weeks...growth spurt? Also, she only wants to poop into a brand new, fresh diaper. I need a nap.
@AnnieRoo13 Yeah, I intentionally did not watch it last night so I had something to look forward to in the MOTN. I was legit upset lol
@KUinCBUS I had no idea that was possible, thank you!! You just gave me hope for this day
@bethas I am feeling the same about today. It was quite a chore getting everything ready and I've hardly slept tonight even though LO did pretty well.
Good luck to all the Moms going back to work today! I go back next week and I am so nervous!
@jjandmeg - hope you can watch Downton Abbey either on the PBS site or stream it to your phone! It usually reruns in the middle of the night on PBS as well. It was a good episode, I'm so excited it's back!!
This is my last week of maternity leave! I'm sad, nervous and also semi looking forward to going back. I know it will make things even harder when I go back, since I'm the one who does everything for LO right now. In a sick way, I'm looking forward to my husband spending a 16 hr day with her, just so he can see how hard it is...and he won't even experience trying to breastfeed her, then supplement her, then pump every 2-3 hrs! He's watched her so I could go to appointments, but never longer than 2 hrs. I'm going to try to be positive this week and enjoy the time I have left with my little lady!
Good luck to all the other mamas going back to work today!!!
Back to work for me today...ugh....at least LO gave me a nice start. I thought we were doomed with how it started but it ended up ok.
I had him bathed and sleeping at 8:30 last night. He made it til 9:15 before screamfest started. From 9:15-11 pm we fed again, changed a spit up on sleeper, changed a poopy diaper, and had a 20 minute hiccup session. Then my magical baby slept from 11 pm til 4:15!!! I got a 5 hour stretch! Whew! I tried to get another hour after his 4 am feeding, but he was fussing, so downstairs we came. He happily hung out in his swing while I ate cereal and now he is sleeping again.
It's 20 degrees outside, very windy and snow covered! Eeeeeeeww!!!

Good luck @bethas@IndianaMommy08@jjandmeg and all other mommies also returning to work. Sending you hugs and lots of positive vibes for your first day back!
I am so nervous. I hardly slept last night. DS was a complete angel before bed and when he fell asleep, I didn't want to put him down. I cried. I stayed up preparing lunches for the week and getting everything organized for today. I am heading up a new project and meet my new team today too. This should be fun. I am hoping the pumping goes smoothly. We got this ladies! Also definitely going with the waterproof eye makeup. I will definitely be crying today.
TTC Since 2009

BFP 2: June 2010 First Round of Clomid Blighted Ovum at 7 weeks
Surprise BFP 3: Feb 2014, Healthy Baby Boy Due October 27th 2014. OB thinks this is it!
Good luck to all you mamas returning to, as @minibean16 put it so well, outside the home work today! Fingers crossed that you don't have huge messes to fix and the day flies by!
@targetpopcornmomma good luck at your appointment! Remember that taking care of yourself is the best way to take care of your family
LO has been up for HOURS. He's either screaming, grinning (for short periods of time), or feeding. Oh my nips hurt so bad! He's never been like this! Just transfered to rnp, he's awake and fussing but no screaming yet knock on wood. I'm sitting on the edge of the bed, rocking it with my foot. Reeeaaalllyyy hope he goes to sleep soon...
I'm on here bumping instead of getting ready to work. I've been up for an hour, but all I have been able to change diapers and nurse. This is my 2nd time, since I got up, nursing Levi. Evan is in his cradle, but he's making noises like he is going to want to eat again soon. Alexis is awake next to me. I keep hoping she will fall back to sleep. She is going to be a terror when I leave. She has been having a lot of seperation issues since DH was in the hospital and she stayed with the grandparents for 2 weeks. DH said he is not worried about dealing with the boys, but dealing with Alexis.
Hugs to all the mommas going back to work today. I said this in the FB group but I'll say it again; you are all so amazing and strong. I can't even imagine how tough it will be, but you and your LO will be okay. As hard as it is, absence makes the heart grow fonder and you will have even more love for LO tonight!
Downton fans. Did you watch/record the special "Manners of Downton Abbey" (or something)? I also recorded something called "Million Dollar American Princesses" which is about the American women who married into the British aristocracy. I heart this type of thing, hard.
Good luck to every one starting work today! It sucks..
Just a question. *TMI warning*
C is 2 months today! :-O her immunization injection site (of where she got injected at three days old) has only started showing now. I know it might make a pimple like mark, but is this ok?
I have an appointment with clinic but its only tomorrow.
I found some good info here on immunization reactions that tells you how soon you need to see a doctor about the reaction.
@mommymeg143 I knew we were Lilly Lover soul sistas when you were trying to use your Captiva tunic for maternity wear. Good luck on the sale, hope you get everything you want! five minutes to go!!!!
Hugs to all the mamas returning to work today! It really sucks that the U.S. is so terrible to working moms and gives us so little time to be with our new babies unless we want to lose our jobs. Assholes.
I've been all sorts of MIA between the holidays and all the interlopers, I mean family and friends...
Hope the ladies going back to work have a fast and easy day!
I unfortunately have a cold. Not entirely sure how this happened as I haven't been anywhere and I haven't seen anyone (besides DH) for a week, and he hasn't been sick. So far LO seems okay. I've been bathing in purell so fx this goes away soon and LO escapes unscathed.
Good luck to all mommas returning to work! Hopefully the day goes by super fast.
I got a reprieve. My OB called this morning and had to reschedule my pp checkup til Friday. My director won't let me come back to work without a signed release from him. So now instead of going back tomorrow, I go next Monday. I'm so glad to have another week with G but now I have to worry about another week unpaid that I wasn't budgeted for.... Being a working mommy is hard.
Also! I am trying out the new girl scouts thin mints coffee creamer this morning. Makes the 5am wake time a little easier
Yummmmm! I want some.
@targetpopcornmomma and all the mommies who have to go back to work, good luck!
Little girl is awake and full of smiles this morning which makes the early wake up time a lot easier. Not sure if I should try and sleep when she goes back to bed, or stay up.
Also DH and I started 30 day shred two days ago. I'm SOOO freaking sore! Anyone else start back working out? I noticed a tiny increase in lochia which I'm wondering if normal.
@Ineedmorecoffee I have been back to my strength training classes for a couple weeks but the first several days I was so sore I could hardly bear walking down the stairs...or worse yet, trying to sit or stand. It gets better!
So I was laughing at something on TB and my sister was asking what was so funny. Anyways, she then says that she wants to meet yall because yall are my best friends. It was adorable. She then asked if I would post a picture of her... She is a weirdo.
DH did the MOTN feeding and now today I'm delirious I'm love titing like it's going out of style and nothing can bring me down. I feel like super woman. I fed LO and she went down for her morning nap so I showered, was able to eat breakfast during tummy time I've meal planed for the next week, did the grocery lists, and read books. Who knew sleeping through the night would make such a difference.
Re: Monday Randoms
Good luck return to work moms including @bethas and @smboswell1. Hopefully your days go quickly

Just spent 45 minutes putting LO to sleep, only to lose her in the transfer to the RNP! ~X(
I needed to get in my final pump for the night. Argh!

Second: I used the bbc feeds, and I've finished the whole season of Downton Abbey! No I have to wait until September.
