  My youngest asked if the doctor said our baby was a girl? I said no. So she asked if he said it was a boy? I said no. Then, completely puzzled, she says "but those are the only two choices for humans?!"

  My niece hasn't started talking yet but understands enough words so I pointed to my belly and said, "I have a baby". She promptly proceeded to lift my dress up and stuck her head under there for a better look.

  We've been reading LBB Berenstein Bears and the New Baby a lot lately.  He loves the book.  In it they talk about how Small Bear never noticed Mama Bear's belly was getting nice and round, but he had noticed it was getting harder to sit on her lap.  LBB has been for the past month commenting on the fact that my belly wasn't getting nice and round, and now loves to touch it and tell me it's getting nice and round. 
  
  The other day, after going to the bathroom I was showing DH how much smaller my bump was and LBB freaked out.  Because the baby's in there, and it's not supposed to get smaller.  I told him the baby's in there, but also poop.  So now every time he touches my belly he says "Your belly is getting nice and round.  Is it the baby or poop?"
