SO's man shower (lol!!!)

So all of my SO's friends have heard about my upcoming baby showers and since they are hilarious and awesome they think that it's not fair that I get to have all the fun so they are throwing a man-only shower for my SO. I told SO as long as it didn't involve a stripper it was ok. I think they will just be drinking and smoking cigars... but the idea just tickles me so much.

I asked SO's best friend if they were getting him presents and he said "We're getting LO things men will need that women just don't think of." Lordy. I'm thinking things that make LOTS of noise... but it will be interesting to see what the guys come up with.

Cute!! My DH and his buddies are all getting together the day of the shower to hang out. They haven't decided on exactly what to do, but these are their ideas so far:

go play airsoft (similar to paintball)
take the boat out and go fishing
hang out in the garage drinking beer, smoking cigars, and playing pool

my Dh and his friends threw his friend a man shower back in December! They basically all got together, drank beer and brought gifts that were "dad" related rather than baby related

Fun!

DH had a "baby stag" before DS was born. His brother threw it and it was essentially a big poker game for DH and a bunch of friends, but his brother asked everyone to bring a pack of diapers or wipes. It was an amazing blessing! We ended up with over 900 diapers, in varying sizes from newborn to size 6, before DS arrived!!

You will seriously have to tell us what he gets from his friends. This should be interesting!

I did have a friend who's brother created a kit that was for dads to be - it had things in it with little notes attached to each as to what they were for - like tongs so they wouldn't have to touch the diapers, goggles and an apron so you don't get peed on by the baby, a nose clip to not smell the dirty diapers. The whole thing was hilarious!

My DH had the same, and we have close to 900 diapers as well.. they had a great time!

This is awesome! DH and our friends are throwing him a Man Shower tomorrow while we have the baby shower. He is so excited. He has even laid out several outfits. IT'S HILARIOUS!
