@mander82 how many different formulas have you tried? I'm currently in camp "find a formula." We are on Gerber soothe and John was a happier baby on day1 of this. We are at 1wk and now I think some constipation is starting. Ugh. I hate this process as you're not supposed to try more than 1 formula in a week. I just don't know how long to wait it out and see how his bowel patterns continue.

Omg my DS at night pees out of almost every diaper and since he loves to sleep on me we have gone through two PJ changes just today. I don't know what to do because size two diapers are too big and I have tried various brands. Well at least it is baby pee. ;;)
@rinaealy I saw a pp say this, but make sure his penis is pointed down and don't forget to pull out the legs-the meshy stuff on the sides. I had no idea you had to "fluff" diapers until I read it on here.

@LivInCA My MIL says that to me all the time. To enjoy this time while he is little cause he won't be little for long. I keep telling DH that I am not enjoying this part. He cries, screams, poops, pees, repeat. I am tired & he seems miserable. I can't wait til he starts reacting more, smiling, laughing, etc. I want to play with him!!
@KMW08 This is the 4th formula we are trying. We started with regular similac, changed to sensitive, then tried enfamils gentlease, and I just bought enfamils AR formula. I have everything crossed that this works. I hate switching formula on him....but he has been miserable....so I have to try. I have fed it to him twice so far today, mixed with the gentlease to ease him into it. So far we are on nap #2, and he even was laughing and smiling at the mirror/mobile above his swing. It could be a fluke.....or just maybe he felt better after eating it. I am praying this works. I just read the reviews for it online and it looks like the biggest complaint is constipation. A lot of people said its like miracle formula. I did have to use a level 2 nipple on our dr brown bottles cause it's thicker and he was having a hard time getting it out. I need to buy more bigger nipples cause I only have 2 of these ones.
I haven't had any constipation issues with Gio yet, so I am not sure how long it would take for constipation issues to pass from a formula switch.
Good luck to you! It's so frustrating!!

So annoying my mom was holding LO and he was crying and I looked over she was just looking at him giggling saying how cute his cry is because he lost his voice! Um hello comfort him it probably hurts to cry with such a horse throat!
I have such high hopes for this formula right now. LO is smiling and cooing in his swing again. Twice in one day to see a happy baby has never happened before. It could just be a fluke and my hopes and dreams could be crushed....but right now I just don't know what to do with this happy little boy!! He spit up a little and didn't even cry....just kept doing what he was doing. ****fingers crossed*****

Thx for the responses I will try this tonight.
My DH has been telling me that at night I need to put DS into his bassinet. The problem with that is I tend to fall asleep while having him on my chest waiting for him to fall asleep. Am I setting myself up for failure when it is time to move him to his crib. I never had this problem with DD I guess I am just a little more tired this time around. Anyone else dealing with this?
@bloomraiser I think it is hilarious when my DS and DD toot heck I think it is hilarious when anyone toots out loud without meaning too. Yes pretty immature!
@rinaealy I bed shared with both my older ones, now they are both happily sleeping in their own beds in their own room. As long as you and LO are happy, safe, and getting rest, don't worry about it! Don't fix what ain't broke.
It's taken me all day to read this thread but in between reading I've killed it on the home front. Washed, dried, and folded 5 loads of laundry, hung photos and replaced photos so DD is up around the house now, two loads of dishes in the dishwasher, painted and hung up peg board in the craft room, cut forms and folded my fabric stash, and finished DD's shadow box. I'm feeling so much better about our house after the deep clean and purge from this week. It's greatly helped my mood to wake up to clean house.
I just can't understand someone liking, smiling at or being amused by a crying baby! It's just so strange! :-/ There have been a few mentions of this and it just stumps me every time.
Baby toots, now those are pretty funny.
I beg to differ with your philosophy on baby toots, since my LO can't just toot...it's almost ALWAYS a shart! LOL

FX it's not a fluke and it's the beginning of a turn around.

MIL bought us a giant bag of clearance Christmas candy- tons of random chocolate. LO went to bed without a fight and I'm celebrating by shoveling it into my face. Guess I'm making up for not overeating at the holidays due to stress!
@bethas Her swing has been a godsend and thankfully her 6 week groth spurt came late and she is only wake to eat today. Its made it way easier to get things done today. Yesterday my mom came and just held her so we could finish the living room and kitchen. LO was a wreck yesterday and we wouldn't have gotten anything done if my mom wasn't here. I'm hoping now that we have done so much it will be easier to keep the place clean....95% of everything has a place so that helps a ton.
To all the mommas who are going back to work Monday, I wish you could sleep and an easy day.
Edit: Just realized its Saturday and there is still another weekend day left.
I think it's adorable when my baby cries sometimes. There are several stinking cute ones. Usually when we go to burp her mid-feeding and she wants more she curls her lower lip down into the cutest quivering pout!
Having said that, I don't ever try to make her cry and I don't sit there and watch her do it cause it's cute. I giggle while I soothe her. I think it's weird when people don't try to soothe.
Also, her pain cry is never cute. It cuts to my core. Every. Time.
Ugh we decided after LO shots I'll probably switch to formula because I'm most likely going to have to get some type of job in the next few months (not going back to AT&T cause of the hours and the demand) since the oilfield is slowing down and my FI most likely isn't going to be able to switch jobs to what he was wanting to do that would allow me to stay at home.. Anyways, tonight I decided to give LO a 3 oz bottle before bed in hopes he will sleep longer tonight (we normally give him one in the afternoon) he finished it but didn't fall asleep so I came to rock him and he proceeded to scream bloody murder, wouldn't take a pacifier, wouldn't take the last little bit in the bottle.. He wanted my boob ):
