My last week is next week, a week before my due date. I just need a little break, I am tired and want to spend some time resting and being with my dd. Plus with my job I needed to choose a date to stop so that my coworkers can know when they have to take over my events. I am the type who loves just being home and does get bored easily so I do fine waiting. With my first, I didn't get any paid leave and I didn't plan to go back so I stopped working at 37 weeks, she ended up coming at 39 weeks but I did not regret having that time off to sleep, read, watch tv, nest, etc at all!
I was planning on taking 2 weeks before my due date but I just can't handle it, I am to uncomfortable and with work and house demands (2 very active children, hockey dancing, swimming) I am taking a month. I have 6 weeks of vacation that I have to use before may leave. I am not planning on returning to work.
Welp, my DD came at 42 weeks exactly, so had I taken 2 weeks off before, I would have been off 4 weeks pre-baby and had 2 weeks off post-partum. So no, that would not have been a good idea.
Re: Time off work before baby?
I am not planning on returning to work.
