Saturday Randoms

There's an owl outside my house. Isn't that bad luck or something?

LO just woke up to eat, I really should have gotten up so I can rock him and he can sleep in his rock and play the rest of the night...instead I'm feeding him in bed. I'm too tired to get up.

  • Ughhhhh...I'm so sick. Sore throat, body aches, headache. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow. :(

Silly question though...can Ems get sick through my breastmilk? I'm constantly hand sanitizing and not getting in her face. I really don't want her to get sick.

Dairy restricting mamas.... Can you talk to me about this?? Why/ LO's symptoms/ pedi advice?

I have no clue if N is sensitive to dairy or has reflux or I have oversupply or if she is just a normal baby. She definitely exhibits some symptoms of either or at times, but other times she seems fine. I have considered cutting dairy to see if it makes a difference, but I literally live on string cheese and Greek yogurt, and don't know how I would possibly make it lol. Mother of the Year here..

@OLJ1010‌ - DS was refluxing/spitting more, fussier/arching back with feeds and reflux, really gassy and uncomfortable, and stools were mucousy (and a couple blood tinged). Pedi recommended cutting out all dairy and soy and seeing if that made a difference.

  • Add me to the dairy-free club. I started cutting back on dairy drastically on Monday. The gas issues seem to be letting up a little? Maybe? It can take 1.5-2 weeks for the dairy to leave my system, and it could take an additional week to leave LO's, so I'll be cutting back for a while. DH is allergic to dairy, so we are being extra-careful.

We had our first legitimate projectile vomit (NOT spit-up) today, and I am horrified. I wonder if it is a different allergy. I guess I'll keep eliminating things until we figure it out.

Mine does all of the above plus pulls off while eating and gets showered in milk. Also sometimes when he is full he will throw his head back and sleep with his drooped over my arm!
  • My cousin just posted a picture to Facebook of her son in the car. He is less than a year old, FFing, no shirt, loose straps, and the chest clip is down around his belly button.

I have, politely, told her that she isn't using her car seat properly and that its dangerous for her son. Other people have told her the same thing. She just responds with, "It's my son and my decision." I hope she never gets into a wreck with her boy buckled up that way so she doesn't have to realize what her decision can cost her.

However, I do hope she gets pulled over for a minor traffic violation and ends up with a ticket for not buckling her baby up correctly.

I hope it's not cold where she is :| poor kiddo will get a cold too.
