DH and I are set on names.
Hendrix Gray for a boy
Cora May for a girl

If yall heard me saying his/her name in the park, what would yall think?

I love the girl's name, but am not a fan of Hendrix (If the name has specific meaning - family name, etc. - that's cool, but it just strikes me as a little hipster.)

Hendrix isn't my style, but I think it works fine with your other names. Cora is okay - I think it's starting to jump up the most popular names list. I think both middle names work well with the first names!

I like them. Cora is CRAZY popular right now, though so if you prefer less trendy names, you may want to re-consider that one.

No, no significance in Hendrix. We were just strolling through names and it popped out at us.

Love Hendrix! I had it on my list but have a few more ahead of it. Also like Cora, both those names are unique without being totally crazy and made up in my opinion

Love Cora May, so pretty!

Not really a fan of Hendrix. Seems a little too hipster. Plus I am not a fan of names that automatically make you think of someone else. I would think you and/or your DH must be big fans of Jimi.

Is it? I have literally never heard that name except once on tv in the last few years. Maybe it's just your area?

I think Hendrix and Marley together are too much. I really like Cora, but it is very different from your other kids names.

Im a fan of Bob Marley. That's why I named my daughter Marley. DH and I aren't super fans of Hendrix. We just like the name. I did think that Hendrix and Marley was too much. But we liked the name so much we just brushed it off.

I like Cora, it can be cute on a little girl but taken seriously as an adult as well.

Hendrix is a different story. I don't like it personally, but with Marley too it takes it a little over the top.

No to Hendrix
Cora Mae was DHs great grandma's name.
We considered it but dropped it off the list for something a little more current. I like it but dont LOVE it.

I think you should name the baby what you want, regardless of what anyone else has to say. Everyone has opinions, stick to your preference.

A lot of people don't say their chosen names bc they are worried about people's comments... Unless the name is something completely bizarre, like Picture Frame, I don't think people's opinions should matter!

I like them!! I like Gray too but more of a first name. As a middle name it reminds me of the "Fifty Shades of Gray" character. But Hendrix is awesome and nothing wrong with a hipster name. My SO is a musician so we are looking at music inspired names as well.

If you like it, don't change it!

I just want to say that even though you caught a lot of flack for Hendrix, you handled it well! Dh and I have our names set and if someone flat out said it was horrible, I'd be sad! Lol.

I have a friend with a baby Hendrix right now, and it just seems a little much IMO. Its not terrible, but its definitely out there. Not the worst I've seen!

My friend named her little boy Ziggy, which at the time I thought was so out there but it truly fits him.
Btw - love Cora and had no idea it's so popular now as many others have said... I've never heard it other than from Sofia the first with my girls

I like Cora a lot. Hendrix is pretty hipster...it's not that I hate it, but I wouldn't use it because of the hipster factor. I know a few because I live in hipster city.

I like Cora, but I agree I'm kind of iffy on Hendrix... Never even thought of Hendrick/Hendrik until the others brought it up which I think would fit super well with your other names! But in the end it's your choice of course

I considered Cora Mei (maori spelling as I'm maori) but Cora seemed too weird and airy fairy for me, even though it's super popular.
It's definitely a pretty name though

I personally wouldn't use Hendrix but do like it's masculinity. I would think about nns they might get too.

Hendrix is not something I'd give a child to have to suffer through life with. That's just me. Name your child whatever you want!

I am biased because I have a Cora. Luckily I only "know" (from my bmb) one other Cora. Hendrix is different, but I don't think it is terrible by any means.

I like them both. Wow you are getting a lot of flack for Hendrix but I think it's cute. I've never heard it before and as someone with a name that is not super common (Marlee) I think he will appreciate it a lot! And who knows if Hendrix will be a good adult name .... That is 18 years from now and that is 18 years of getting used to his name. It will become a part of him and whatever you name him will suit him just fine.
I say if you like it, that is all that matters, so go for it!!!

Love Cora I wanted it but DH said no I haven't seen any in our area and I check the paper for names cuz we don't want something a lot of people have. Our son is Trey which we love not too crazy but not something you hear every day.
