So we went to Ikea yesterday to look for a traditional sized dresser and some organizational stuff while we are in transition from my dad's (limited space so no real nursery) to our new house (who knows when FEMA will FINALLY pay out). Didn't find a dresser but did run into this frightening looking stuffed rabbit. DH is convinced it is a Durch Rabbit because it's name is Vandring Hare (typically Van is indicative of Dutch and DH is very proud of his Dutch heritage). He's so proud of his purchase. It's his first baby purchase. He even said he hoped baby would have this for many, many years. It's terrifying to me.
I'm not the most active poster on here but I'm so excited about my most recent purchase I want to share! I just picked up a newborn carrier I read about on Lucies List called the Nesting Days carrier. I originally planned on getting a Moby until LO was big enough for a SSC but saw this one and fell in love. Looks so simple but a little expensive. I used the code "LUCIESLIST" for $25 off the purchase.
The most recent baby purchases that we've made are the Snugapuppy Bouncer and Snugapuppy Rock N Play. The Rock N Play came in on New Year's Eve, and the Bouncer will be here Monday.

Here's a few outfits I've bought. Probably not most people's style. My boys pretty much live in smocked stuff and Janie and Jack when they are little. I'm a sucker for bubble rompers. I have so many awesome hand me downs from the older 2. I like Hanna Andersson and Boden too although I don't put Boden on my boys when they are tiny. I'm too lazy to bring up my other bags. Here's some of the J&J though.
Gear wise. A City Select with doubles kit, Graco Click Connect 40, Fisher Price Sit Me Up.
The rest of the sheets and bedding for his crib (yes I am aware I will not be using the blanket and pillows for awhile but I wanted to get the matching set while it was available). I was gifted the plane crib sheet and fell in love.

Janie and Jack is my guilty obsession! I absolutely adore their timeless pieces. They just opened a j&j outlet about 20 mins from my house so I have been checking out their sales every few weeks.
I'm embarrassed to admit I've bought nothing for this baby yet! I have mentally gone through DS1's infant wardrobe and also noted some things we will need to buy another of (like a second monitor, etc...). I'm feeling a little neglectful, I better get new baby something of his own soon!
I am pretty much in the same boat as well. I have two boys, so we have pretty much all the baby gear we need. I did hit a few consignment sales early on for some girly baby clothes since this one is a girl. And this is the first baby we plan to do cloth/hybrid diapering with, so I have been purchasing the diaper covers and such when I find good deals.
My MIL and SIL are throwing me a mini shower the end of this month, so I am trying to refrain from buying too much before then. Though I did request no gifts, I know some people are still going to buy stuff.
My biggest goal right now is to get into our basement and start going through what we have and pulling out what I can use and organizing the spare bedroom that will be babies room eventually. I just realized I have less than 12 weeks before baby is here(I will have a repeat c-section at 39 weeks due to gestational diabetes and my history), so I need to get my butt in gear!!
Baby #1: EDD: 5/31/08 DD born sleeping due to severe preeclampsia at 22 weeks 1/26/08
@JJBoden I like your style. Already got my little guy his first smocked outfit too...bubble rompers coming soon
Seriously, there is nothing sweeter in this world than a little boy in knee high socks and a smocked outfit.
@redheaded14
Yay for smocking! There is nothing sweeter! My boys come home in smocked gowns and bonnets. . I love knee highs and saddle shoes too. So so sweet! This is my little guy last week. He's 2 and still rocking the smocking! ( these were my 8 year olds hand me downs ) You will have so much fun dressing a little boy I added one of my oldest all ready to come home
We picked up a new crib for DD, along with the toddler rail, and 2 new mattresses. I'm a bargain shopper and I got everything on sale or discounted The crib is the updated version of the one we've used for DD (with the drop side permanently secured) that my brothers and I slept in as babies. So, the new baby will go in the crib we already have and DD will get the new one that will covert to a toddler bed when she needs it.
Finally decided and purchased a crib today. Totally not any of the 5 I was considering but I think I'll really like it. Doesn't have a matching dresser to use as a changing table so I will take it to a furniture store by me to have the color matches.
I bought too many outfits from Carter's during their 70% off sale and their clearance was an additional 20% off. I had a 40% off coupon too. My most "exciting" purchase is my K'Tan carrier that I bought today with a gift card I got for Christmas. I really wanted to buy my pack and play. However, when I mentioned it to my MIL she kind of threw a fit and said "well you're not going to have anything for me to buy if you don't leave anything on your registry". No one has even mentioned a baby shower yet, and I'm getting a little impatient knowing I don't have much. I'm fine with buying it all, but the waiting to see, drives me crazy. I know that is terrible and I just need to calm my tits, but I'm such a type A and like to have things planned out.
I got into trouble at Carters too for those very reasons.
We finally pulled the trigger on a crib, and I'm still trying to convince myself that we can afford this rug:
That rug is heaven. Please convince yourself that you need it!!
I did
After working a hell week at work and knowing I was working an overtime shift today, I figured, well what the hell am I working all this extra anyway if not to buy that rug?!?
I also got a bunch of other necessities and am finally feeling like this baby might have her own room in a couple of months!
I'm SUPER excited about my most recent purchase, new baseboards.
This means the nursery will be complete tomorrow and I can start decorating & organizing the million things I splurged on clothes wise during Christmas.
I've been prohibited from buying anything else because I went a little crazy as soon as we got word that our baby is a girl! We did buy a dresser this weekend and I will choose paint soon.
Yesterday my MIL bought our travel system, and put the bedding on layaway. Recently I have gotten the bouncer, glider, and rock n play and a bunch of clothes that he doesn't need because someone gave us like 4 trash bags of their son's clothes.

This (referring to picture of closet full of clothes) is precisely why I am team green this time. I bought at least that many clothes for my daughter before she was born and she couldn't wear everything. I can't control myself. I hope that waiting until the baby is here will make me more practical. Unlikely, but I can hope.
It doesn't look like much now but I plan on turning this hutch into a diapering station. With a little paint and tinkering this is going to be fabulous for the LO.
Re: PIP your most recent baby purchase
Edit: because I really do stink at texting.

I bought ALL of the things.
