I have been wandering my house trying to figure out which smoke detector is low battery beeping. It only does it at night when I am home alone. Of course! Ugh. My husband thinks I'm making it up but I'm not. Good news is I think I figured it out!!

In other news, thought for sure I was going to have a New Years baby last night. Glad that was not the case!!

Thrilled that my mamma surprised me and flew down to Texas. We have house guests too-- so my sweet husband decided that he would take the couch and my mom and I would bunk up-- it's NO BUENO-- she snoressssss sooooooooooooo badly and after being a really good sport and being dd for husband and guests, I got to bed at 2 and have maybeeeee slept for 2 hours-- I've tried headphones, the sound machine..... Sooooooo tired! I've given up on sleep, hence my bumping.

DH is snoring, kids asleep on the couches and I am waiting for 8am to get here so I can call every 45 minutes to get a repair guy from our landlord out here. Our heater isn't warming the house (thermostat is set on 68 and its 62 inside) and the hot water went out yesterday. Totally love reverting to camping and having to boil water to wash dishes. My calls all day and emails yesterday obviously did nada. If we have to call a repair man ourselves I'm not going to be a happy camper!

I'm up early to work the holiday at the hospital. Hopefully it won't be too bad because I work tomorrow too. The influenza testing that I run is out of control this year (but that's because of a high percentage of positives).

Happy New Year, ladies! Today is my 36th birthday! I did manage to stay awake until midnight, but we were in bed so I rolled over and went to sleep immediately after the ball dropped.

Today I get to have lunch with my girlfriends and then go pick up my kids from their dad's house for a birthday dinner. And my sweet husband got me a gift certificate to get a waxing before the baby comes! Yay for me! Today will be a good day.

@ChickenOnSunday‌ it's funny but I can't usually watch old episodes of reality/competition shows but I can always watch old TopChef... Probably because I'm a fat kid and the food always looks good... Bonus points if Blaise is on the season you are watching!

My situation: I feel like I've been picked to enter the Hunger Games.. Only the task at hand is putting away Christmas decorations.... So uh... Can I get a volunteer?

Let's just say when I asked my husband to preventively change all the batteries, he did not and we spent the past 3 months playing which one is singing at 2 am. He got batteries in his stocking this year

Morning ladies! Happy new year and happy birthday @lotsofdotts‌! We didn't get home until 1 and didn't go to bed until 2. My drunk DH decided that he was going to sleep in his jeans last night so I am still kinda giggling to myself about him sleeping fully clothed. Anyways we are going to see the Hunger Games tonight with some friends so I hope it's good. Otherwise I'm going to try to rest off this nasty cold I have now.

Happy New Year February 15!

I slept horribly last night, major back and shoulder pain kept me up a bunch so I'm a little tired this morning. Hubs made coffee this morning and put about 3 drops of Kahlua into my cup but MAN can I taste it!

We're going to attempt the National Aquarium today with DD, we might possibly be insane.

This morning we are doing a little cleaning around the house as my H's parents, brother and his new- possibly fake internet girlfriend are coming down today for "Christmas." They are all here until Monday, I'm hoping for the best! Silver lining...since they will all be here we may get a chance to sneak away for a date while they hang with DS.

DH is going to help me get the Christmas tree down today. We ordered ourselves the rest of our registry and it all arrived this week. So I got some things to clean and put away! Hopefully I'll get a little cleaning done before I settle in for some football watching. I need to catch up on some work during football watching as well... It's going to be a busy day!

Happy New Year! Can't believe I have less than 40 days left... DH and I are going to Target today to spend the gift cards we got from the shower his side of the family threw after Christmas. We're also going to be putting together the glider for the nursery and put up curtains in her room. Now that it's January, it's starting to feel like crunch time! I packed up the diaper bag to bring with us to the hospital, but I guess I should start thinking about putting together a bag for myself.

DH is still sleeping. I've been up for a while playing video games- now I might start doing some nursery/babythings assembly. We are going for a game night (afternoon, really) at 4 with some friends and are having a Chinese food feast to boot. It sucks that I no longer have any appetite or room in my stomach- so cruel that I can finally eat as much as I want (basically) but yet have no desire to do so. I will certainly regret not taking advantage of this later.

My husband and I went to bed at 10:30 last night. Awesome sleep, even with the fireworks at midnight and the drag racing at goodness knows what hour. I got up at 9:30am, he's still in bed. I love this kind of day.

Grand plan for today may be to watch junk on Netflix all day.

No happy spam for me today

I just need to vent.

I just found out last night that my mom and step dad have separated and neither one of them have even mentioned this to me. I found out through my brother. I have spoken to both of them multiple times over the past few days and they have acted totally normal. I can't say that I'm surprised by the news. There has been a lot of stress on both of them lately and quite frankly my mom is a hard woman to live with. I'm more pissed that they are treating me like a child and shielding me from what is going on because I'm pregnant. Seriously I'm 26 years old and can handle it. I went through my parents very nasty divorce when I was 14 so it's not like I don't know what is going on.

My DH has asked me to stay out of it until one of them brings it up. He's very much against drama of any kind and wants to avoid it as much as possible, so I'm trying really hard to respect his opinion right now. Ugh....it's so hard to not call my mom up and b**ch at her for being so bull headed right now. My step dad is an amazing man and has given up so much for us.

Gahh i'm so frustrated.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Kids are taking ornaments off the tree. I'm pretty sure we are going to have to go up on DS adhd/autism meds

only thing is his appetite will decrease again. Hopefully we can find a new therapist here to help us. Momma's exhausted already this new year from redirecting and trying to keep him busy and off the iPad/PS3/wii.

Wow! I have never heard of a gym being closed New Years Day. I figured they would be packed with resolution makers. Kudos to your gym for giving their employees the day off.

Happy New Year! Got my tdap yesterday and a very sore arm today. Slept in later than usual and woke up to MH telling me there are 8 sporting events he NEEDS to watch today but can narrow it down to 7 if he has to. So from premier league soccer to the Mizzou football bowl game, to the hockey Winter Classic, I will be watching Netflix on my tablet. I am going to let this happen because in two weeks he will be doing a full day birthing class with me

Happy new year! We are still at our friends house for a while but they are playing a game I don't like so I'm being anti social. Took a nap for a few hours last night while they played this same game then made it up from about 1150 to 2 am.

Got home last night to DH putting the final pieces of the crib together. The man is not good at presents but super good at surprises like that. I have some funny pictures of the cat in the crib but mobile won't let me post.

Unfortunetly our stairs defeated him and our friend and they couldn't get our box spring and matress upstairs. Not sure yet what we are going to do about that but it's a problem for later.
