I got my first today I'm super excited! I'm so inlove with my little blob already!!

    A blob! Congrats!

    This gives me a good feeling on my first appointment. Mine's at 6 weeks, but I didn't realize when I scheduled it that 8-10 weeks is "normal". I was a bit pissed, thinking that it'd be a waste of time. Not anymore!

    My first appt is Feb 2nd, I'll be exactly 10 weeks. Are the odds good that I will have an ultrasound that day?

    I think it all depends on your doctors office. Some obs only do 1 for the whole pregnancy and others do more.


    I am being seen by an REproductive endocrinologist so there are very frequent u/s.

    As @RazzyRN said, it depends on the practice.  Mine generally doesn't, but they usually try to find heartbeat with stethoscope then doppler if you'd be able to hear it.

    My first ultrasound is scheduled for 6 weeks exactly, Jan 15, FX we'll have a heartbeat then!

    Truly amazing to see. We have our first ultrasound on the 16th and I'm hoping for a heartbeat then.

    I have my first ultrasound on January 5th. I had to take clomid just to get pregnant. I'm extremely nervous!!!

    I've had two u/s already. They saw my little bean. They said it's a little more right than they like to see so hopefully everything is OK. :/

    Aww. I'm super jealous. I have my fist appt at 6 weeks but it doesn't sound like there's an ultrasound involved. This is a whole new practice for me so I won't really know what to expect until I get to ask my questions then. 1/14 seems so far away!!
