Insurance Covered Breastpumps - READ FOR INFO

edited December 2014 in May 2015 Moms
If you are interested in seeing what your insurance covers for Breastpumps I strongly recommend contacting Aeroflow online. They contact your insurance, your doctor, and handle everything on your behalf to get your breastpump shipped to you. Within 3-4 days I've already been approved for a Medela Advanced Double Electric and it's being processed for shipment, and all I had to do was give my insurance info and doctor info in the original form and choose the pump my insurance covered. They even offered "upgrades" if the Medela wasn't what I wanted. I have Cigna, and they are an in-network provider for them as well. Just wanted to give some of you mamas an easier way to handle getting your pumps instead of contacting everyone and handling it yourself. And the cost to you for this service is nothing.

  • I'm sorry I tried to go through and find another post like this but didn't see one and figured I would offer the info up for anyone who needed it. I'm only 21 weeks and mine is being processed for shipment now (the rep said it would ship after the holiday). Not sure how each insurance works, I just found letting Aeroflow handle the hassle was easier than me calling around because I was clueless at where to start.
  • @emu0013‌ a couple people have said yes, but I would just call your insurance company and see what you have to do. It would have taken note effort for me to do this than what my insurance required of me.
Thanks, I will do that, I know with DD I had to wait until I delivered and it came to my hospital room.

My insurance approved mine to be sent now and I'm 21 weeks. My best friend got hers (she has different insurance) as soon as she applied when she was 6 months. It's worth a try.
