I love the high chair for eating really messy things. Sometimes my kids will fall asleep in them too when they are really fussy. If you hate it that much, I would put it in storage for a couple of months.
We have the space saver one. It was Nikitas. But it also doubles as a booster. A regular style one I would probably store if there were more babies in the future plans.
Allison has a booster with a tray, we have no space for a highchair. We've just started taking the try off and having her belly up to the table to eat.
Yeah, you're probably right. It's just, the apartment is tiny, and she is capable of sitting on her chair and eating with not too much mess. I'll wait another week to see if we can really be rid of it. @lwrightenator - we got this chair at a yard sale for the bare necessities. Once another kid is here we'll probably get a less unwieldy one. Not cluttering up my storage for this monster.
LO is still in a high chair and will probably be in it for quite some time longer. I guess it all depends on how much space you have whether to keep it or not. I wouldn't totally get rid of it though. Perhaps store it for next baby?
I guess I should also mention that we have the Fisher Price space saver high chair so that's another reason I'm not in a hurry to get rid of it. It doesn't take up much space, hence the name
We have the Tripp trapp which will grow with her so we are planning on using it for several more years. We have some friends with two babes and they definitely reused the first high chair with subsequent children. If you plan to have more and have the room Id keep it.
Are you sure you aren't a princess? ;;)
I'm only saying the above in good fun, just so you know!
My son is pretty neat when he eats & so I went ahead & hooked the booster seat up & let him sit at the table (he is strapped in). My only problem so far is yogurt (it's a mess) & so I haven't gotten rid of the high chair. He loves sitting at the table with us though.
We have a booster seat with straps. DD has been sitting in it for over a month. I am planning on listing the high chair on Craig's list because it is just taking up space in the kitchen.
We've been using a clip-on high chair from the beginning so DD's always been at the table, but my SIL has one of the fancy stokke ones that she's almost done with, so I think we're going to take it from her once my nephew isn't using it any more.
Re: BTDT Mommas 5.99: Highchair lifespan?
We have this one. So once he's ready to sit at our table, I'll still strap him in.
