I have been having some trouble sleeping at nights now. Resorted to using my heat pad to help me get to sleep. Iv read that it's best to sleep on your side but I always wake up on my back again. Can I please have some recommendations for the pregnancy pillows? (Not sure if that is the correct name) Thank you
People have been saying the snoogle as well but it was 59 dollars at buy buy baby! I just can't see spending that. I think I'll try the regular body pillow first.
Are there any mom exchange sites on facebook for your local area? I got a snoogle for $20 - excellent condition and I just threw it in the wash (on sanitize mode)! I tried a cheap body pillow last pregnancy and ended up giving it to goodwill because it didn't work for me.
I have a Snoogle and was in the same position of not wanting to spend $60 on a pillow...seriously, it's just cotton, right?!?!? Now that I have it, it works well for my back pain. Not sure yet how it will work as belly support, since my "bump" is so small, but I do like it so far!
A friend bought me the Boppy brand 3- piece pregnancy pillow. She purchased it through Target. I also saw it at Babies R Us for $54 & in terms of price it's comparable to the Snoogle. I really only use 2 out of the 3 pieces, which attach by velcro. I like the section that goes under your belly a bit & you wrap your leg around it. Boppy brand also makes a variety of other pregnancy pillows such as the contoured pillow around $20 which looks like a wedge that fits under your belly. Two friends of mine used the Snoggle & loved it. Lastly my OBGYN said it's ok to sleep on your back before 32 wks. I asked because i was having a hard time sleeping on my side. After 32 wks. He said back sleeping will be uncomfortable & naturally with belly weight you'd flop to the side. He explained that air flow issues to the baby are a concern at that stage when your belly is bigger. Before 32 wks he said get sleep from any position comfortable. Best of luck!
Hmmm, I looked at the snoogle. May have to invest. I have mastered the art of sleeping with a little pillow between my knees, having a body pillow on one side and a regular on the other to prop up my draped arm. Plus I have a rolled up pillow at the base of my normal head pillow for neck support... That took a while
I got this one when I was 10 weeks... I love it.. even my puppy does hahaha
I have really bad neck/shoulder pain even before the pregrancy.. with this pillow I feel better overall... I like this one bc I can curl the pillow up between my legs when I want to for extra hip/belly suppoet
I swear by my snoogle! That thing is heaven! I started having hip pain at night really early on (about 8 weeks) and tried a plethora of combinations of multiple pillows and a body pillow as I already had them all. None of them were helping me. I was up every few hours readjusting and trying to get in a position that eased the pain I had from the previous position. My mom actually went out and bought me a snoogle because I was constantly complaining about my lack of sleep and hurting hips but not wanting to spend the $60ish on a pillow. The very first night I had it I slept through the night. It gives me more support and lift for which ever leg is on top than a few pillows did. It's also really nice to be all tangled in it and just have to roll over as opposed to having to adjust 6 pillows in the middle of the night or losing a few. After that refusing to spend that much on a pillow seemed so silly to me. I want all the sleep while I can get it. I even use it for naps on the couch.
My pups love it too.
eek! so cute!!! here is my little on eye pup enjoying it middle of the night
I've been using a body pillow but can never get situated, my sister got me a boppy cuddler and I'm hoping this does the trick. Her friend works in the neonatal unit at UVA and said the woman she sees swear by them and when she found out she was pregnant, it was the first thing she bought.
LOVE my Snoogle. It has helped so much with my hip pain, I sleep through the night and no matter what position i am in i am always comfortable. I also like that I can bend it and use it for different purposes (like watching tv in bed) it really is fantastic and worth every penny!
Last pregnancy I used a regular body pillow and situated like 15 (ok, maybe a bit of an exaggeration but it felt like it in our bed lol) pillows all over and needed to be put in my contraption just right by the end.
I'm biting the bullet and getting a Snoogle this time.
I tried a body pillow but it was too hot and too "fluffy" for me. I have 20% off + $10 in rewards for Babies R Us, so I might just get the snoogle. My friend swore by the mini one.
I got the snoodle for xmas and love it! I was in the same boat as everyone else not wanting to spend $60 but I think it's worth it. Especially for me I'm on my feet all day and this pillow relieves my back and leg pains. I highly recommend it! Good luck
Another vote for the Leachco. I turn in my sleep, so having something on both sides is really great with the repositioning issue. It also fits and lifts the bump - more of an issue in later pregnancy, while sliding under the back, so you have support for both front and back.
And for FTM, it's amazing for breastfeeding, because you can wrap it around yourself to support baby and you. (I use it similarly for my laptop since I don't want to rest it on my legs/stomach.)
Another vote for the snoogle. Worth every penny! I was scared it was going to be too bulky, but I've been able to comfortably sleep with it next to DH (who is not a small person) on our full sized bed and there hasn't been any complaining yet.

I bought a Snoogle with DD and ended up resorting back to a body pillow from Target. The snoogle did not have enough stuffing in it for me to be able to get into a comfortable position. I use the body pillow between my knees and to support the belly, it works great.
I never bought a pregnancy pillow last time because I didn't see myself using it after I was done being pregnant. Instead I bought this super fluffy down body pillow from Ikea for $20 and it was awesome at cushioning my bump.
I have the U-shaped pillow & the snoggle, I love them both, but use the snoggle more because the other one is so bulky. I do find it easier to roll side to side with the U though. Both totally worth the $ in my opinion, sleep is important yo.
I bought the snoogle on Amazon...it's really comfortable and conforms as you grow. My only gripe is the jersey cover is extra and while its soft, it pills easily and the seams have almost holes after just two months.
I just got the leachco back n belly pillow and I love it! I got it online from buy buy baby and they screwed up and sent me two so I got two for the price of one! It is kinda big tho, my husband still has lots of room on our king but might be a little tight on a queen or smaller.
