Where was it? In bed at my mom's house.

How did it go down? So my sister had just had her wedding reception. I had a headache, my sister was being a bitch and there was family drama all over, and we got home late. Just past midnight, it became technically my birthday. My husband pulled out the ring while we were talking in bed and probably said something nice that I don't remember and asked me to marry him. I said yes and we made out and then took our pants off and you know... Engagement sex.

But wait. There's more.

After we finish my H goes to the bathroom and I look over to the other part of the bed. My family dog was in the room with us and without us noticing he had jumped on the bed.

And he left us an engagement gift.

Actually a few. Basically he shit all over the bed. Right beside us. While we had sex.

Was it romantic? ...... Did you read the above?

Did it go as he planned? ...... Ditto.

Was he nervous? I don't think so. But he sure was glad he didn't roll over the other way after the sex.

I don't tell this story much. When asked how we got engaged, I usually mumble something about my ring and change the subject.

Where was it? At a park/green space with walking trails and picnic areas we took our dog often for walks, on the bridge over looking the river.

How did it go down? He went to pick up the ring that day first thing and told me when he got back he want to take K.C (the dog) down for a walk to the conservation(park) I said ya sure sure. Once he got back he was really pushing "come on lets go!" and I was all "wtf? whats the hurry" but put on some stretchy pants and a tank top and went. Once we were on the bridge, right in the middle he told me he had to tie his shoe of something and passed me the dog leash, then kind of spun around behind me and when I went to turn to face him he was down on one knee.

was it romantic? yes

Did it go as planned? I think it went down better then he planned, I was totally caught off guard and he always tells people how perfect it was when he handed me the leash and spun around onto his knee.

Was he a hot mess? He was pretty well composed!!
