Guys don't worry. This place is amazing once you hit the acceptance stage that this is not the coddle zone. That's seriously what Baby Center is for. They're all about showing their gas bellies over there and that's okay! Bibliocathery (sorry to call you out) is the best! She's hilarious and I genuinely miss her on the days she lives her life away from TB.

The whole FTM excuse for ignorance makes me irate. Are you going to use that excuse when LO is here? I sure hope not. Seriously, ladies, being honest and saying there's literally no way possible you are showing (which means baby, not bloat - conveniently changing the meaning for yourself doesn't fly) is not being rude. I agree the snark can go to rudeness on some threads, but this ain't one of them. Stop being so sensitive. God help you when people call you out on real parenting issues when LO is here, or when LO isn't perfect at school, etc. SMH.

I have to agree honesty =/= mean. When I was a FTM I read books and articles about pregnancy. I also paid attention in biology class. I did not go on the Internet and post a bunch of questions to Internet strangers.

If you post something silly, you will be met with silliness. No one is being mean or harsh. I'm pretty sure there has been plenty of support and advice offered when it is warranted.

Lame attempt at a joke. It doesn't even make sense, really. Just because there are a few letters the same? And I agree with PP, that really IS rude. Telling someone they aren't showing, pointing out a simple scientific fact, isn't rude. Insulting someone's name and occupation (even as a lame joke) is just being bitchy.

Oh, Honey. (Or in the words of @bibliothecary, Oh, Kitten) This is just sad. I didn't insult your intelligence. I know nothing about you, except you came to WK with poor spelling. Why would I insult your intelligence? I simply stated where I stopped reading your post. Nothing stated about your level of intelligence.

Since you asked, not that it's any of your business... I do not work at Kmart - my bump friends call me kmart because it rhymes with my s/n. But I will tell you this, if I did work at Kmart, I would not be ashamed. I would be proud that I am working, by whichever means possible, to make a living and help provide for my family. And, again, because you asked. I'm a Rehabilitation Counselor and I work in addiction therapy / counseling. Who cares if I'm a counselor or a stock woman at Kmart? Honestly, I don't. I've had many jobs over the years, some were pretty, some were not, but as long as I was making an income, I didn't really care.

She didn't even say anything about your spelling... She mentioned that you used uppercase letters to emphasize the word "women", and she found that entertaining.

Andplusalso, you really are the only being rude here. Why would it matter where anyone works? Are you insinuating that anyone that has worked at KMart is insecure? Seems like you are being a hypocrite by telling everyone to be nice, then making unwarranted jabs at someone's potential job.

There is so much butthurt & WK'ing on here I don't even know where to start.
I am "showing" like I am about 4 months... Only bc I haven't shit in a week.
FTM & bc small is still no excuse for this ridiculousness. Like PP said, I may be a STM but I didn't jump on a forum and ask internet strangers bullshit questions every time I had a gas bubble the first time around. I read and researched.
Also, skinny does not trump science. YOUR UTERUS IS NOT THAT BIG regardless of how skinny you are. You may have a little pooch but it IS NOT YOUR TINY BABY!
A big misunderstanding I have read in this thread multiple times is that this "community is for support". No. Bras are for support. If you want a support group you are in the wrong place, that's not what we do here.
If you want to be coddled go to the Baby Center.

The whole FTM thing gets old. I'm a FTM and I did research about what to expect. I talk to my doctor, read books, and go to good websites to find answers. I don't think any comments became all that snarky until after all the WK showed up. Again, as so many have said, you can simply search for topics on here so that you aren't posting the same thing as ten other people. Then your question would be answered and you wouldn't be upset about responses in your thread.

I don't understand why anyone feels the need to be rude about it. You saw the subject in the header. Pass it by and roll your eyes behind the computer if you don't like it. It's sheer excitement and eagerness coming from the original poster.

I do agree it's too early for all of that; however, when you're used to a flat tummy and you're now pregnant with constant bloat, be excited. Why the heck not? Just understand it's bloat and not baby yet.

I started showing at 14 weeks with my first and it was not bloat etc, it was a distinct bump!
It is exciting waiting for the bump....I cant wait! Wondering if it will be a bit sooner with babe 2 now since everything has been all stretched out. I'll be 10 weeks Saturday and no bump yet, just gross bloat!
