I'm up and finally able to start one of these.
DD just fell asleep eating to the point she was snoring and not eating. So I did the only thing I could do, set her in her crib. She if course woke right up wanting more of her bottle. Now trying to feed the rest and get her down. 6 week growth spurt is no joke.
Re: Tuesday Randoms
We're on hour 2 of bedtime. She's not fussy - just awake and staring at me. If I put her down, game over though!!
Eta: DS took a little over 7.5oz... Hoping he gives me another 4 hour stretch (which at this point is 2.5 hours of sleep).
Hope everyone is getting a little rest tonight.

My husband and I went out to dinner last night with his brother and his brother's wife. It's the 2nd time we've been out to eat since LO was born and the first time with others. It was so nice to feel like an adult again! I had a glass of Shiraz and 1/2 way through I was fairly drunk. I then realized I had only had a handful of Tostitos all day long. Aside from never having time to eat during the day, I feel like I have no appetite. Anyone else? I never feel hungry anymore. It's very strange for me because I'm a huge foodie.
Oh well, off to finish up this pump and go back to sleep for a couple hours.
Get your suitcase packed @flutterbuggie, I'm picking you up on the way!
I'm up. I'm so tired. I put both kids to bed at 8pm, but then I couldn't fall asleep till around 930. Then baby was up at 11 and all happy and hyper. Just kicking her little feet a ton and looking everywhere. It was quite cute so I couldn't be upset, but damn. Now she is eating while staring at me wide eyed. Go back to bed baby!!

While changing LO she peed everywhere so DH heard my cursing and came and changed her so I could wash up and then make her bottle. She started screaming during the diaper change because she was hungry. After DH gave her back to me he goes "people are fing stupid if they have a baby to fix things. This would not fix problems between us."
I'm also on the lack of appetite band wagon. DH was worried about my lack of interest in food and the little I would eat at meals in the beginning but thankfully it's getting better.
Other random GMIL called to check in on DH and LO tonight. Then she called back an hour later to ask DH if she upset me by calling him. WTH lady where does this even come from. She really just calls everyone to let them know they don't visit enough and to guilt them into a visit. Doesn't matter if you just saw her yesterday it's never enough. We've seen her twice in the last week, she's annoyed that my family got time with LO over the holidays and is convinced the DH's side is secretly getting together without her. Somedays I think dementia is setting in with her.
@lovebuggies1 good luck with getting LO back on the boob.
Our Canadian mommy-meet-up has to include breakfast as Cora's to trump those meeting at IHOP!
I'm serious, kid. Now stop smiling at the cieling and start smiling at your MAMA!
There are are some days where I feel so close to you all. @AnnieRoo13 and @uncharted01 - every object in this house gets smiles except for me! Sheesh.
@starfruit14 as you can see, my kid likes to grunt, gurgle, etc in his sleep. He is 6 weeks old and was born at 39 weeks and 2 days. I think this is normal for them. I noticed that if I warm up his bed by warming a blanket or putting a microwave heating pad and trick him into thinking he is laying on me, he is quiet for much longer. He is completely quiet when he sleeps on my tummy but that is my very last resort because I am a side sleeper.
Up pumping. DS is sleeping fine but I couldn't sleep for more than an hour. I have trapped gas in my shoulder from the surgery. The medicine can't do anything for it. They said it needs to work it's way out of my system. It is wicked uncomfortable. I have a line up for the next 3 days for help.
Since I couldn't sleep, I brushed up on my make up skills for returning to work. My eyebrows are a hot mess. I am a licensed Esthetician and make up artist, this is not a good show of my waxing work lol. Granted I am not actually doing this type of work, I still have to look presentable.Time to break out the professional make up, not just lip balm and moisturizer anymore. Also I see a new hairstyle in my future. I need a pick me up :-)
I wish I had no appetite, I'm jealous of you girls that can go more than an hour without eating. I'm so hungry, all the time. I'm breastfeeding and I was told that it can make you hungry, but this level of hunger is crazy...especially considering that I don't produce enough milk! I'm not losing weight either
I'm a huge Downton Abbey fan too! I can't wait for Sunday night!
Anyways, just in the last few days he's started grunting less & cooing / making more "baby" sounds.
We switched from reg similac to Gerber Soothe two days ago, he's a completely different baby. So much more at ease and no longer strains to poop like he did before.

And thanks to the holidays, I'm also well-stocked in chocolate. Between the good pain meds and all the chocolate, I figure I'm in good shape
@uncharted01 I'm with you on the food thing. So weird to go from having all the pregnancy cravings, to having no appetite.
Not totally related, but I've been following the story about the woman in Utah who just gave birth to quads. Happy to see that her and the babies are doing well. I seriously can't imagine having 4 newborns though! I thought twins were tough...
It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!
My little guy is 4 weeks today
This is his face last night when he saw the OU score last night.. lol
We once did lunch and a visit for almost 4 hours and when we got up to leave her place she tried to guilt us into staying longer because she was all alone in "the home" where her family left her. She lives in senior apartments so everyone is retired and over 55 but she tells everyone her family stuck her in a nursing home and left her. She really just wants to move into MIL and FIL's house but they won't let her. There isn't room and GMIL would expect MIL to pay for even more than she already does.
As I posted in another thread, LO has a cold. This has made him super sleepy which is allowing me to nap a lot. So I have found the silver lining to having a sick LO.
@songbirdsinging55 Montreal is lovely and definitely worth a visit, but do yourself a favour and go to Quebec City while you're there.
@lovebuggies1 so sorry you are having issues with him BF. Hoping you can get some help through a LC but it doesn't seem like it's too late to get him back on.
I will second all the other mamas about Buy Buy Baby!! They just built one 10min from my house! It's the best. You can seriously spend the day in there!
Here's LO today! 6wks1day
