This reply is to everyone who is posting negative responses: Why the need to respond so rudely??? She simply asked a question & even pointed out that it could be gas. Perhaps this is her 1st pregnancy & honestly didn't know. This should be a place where we can feel free to ask questions of one another, w/o fear of being chastised if we ask the wrong question. If you can't be cordial in your responses or questions, please do not chime in. In reply to Skatie, I agree they are right, you shouldn't be feeling baby yet, he/she is way too small. But I will tell you this is my 2nd pregnancy & I feel more than I did on the 1st go-round, so I can see how it would make you wonder. I too am "showing" already, depending on your definition of "showing." I am pretty petite, so even though it's small, I've expanded about an inch. And before all the haters out there say "not so", please go back and read the article from last week that mentioned how the uterus has already doubled in size. On a small person, I assure you, it can be seen. Maybe not through clothes, but definitely without.

Girl I get it! I am only 4'8 and was less than a 100 pounds when I got pregnant! My upper belly is bloat but I have a round bump by my public bone that is hard. When you are a - inches smaller than a normal size woman then I am sure you show a little earlier! It may not be a full on baby bump but it is there!
  • Yeah, none of us are showing yet. At all. I don't care if you're 3 feet tall and this is your 6th kid in as many years. You. Are. Not. Showing. This is my third and I'm fairly slim. My stomach is still perfectly flat unless I eat too many gassy foods.

I don't understand women who want to rush showing. Once strangers blatantly invade your privacy for months on end and you feel like a caged circus animal, you won't be so excited.

    Because small.

  • It's not an excuse. The thing is, is I have done research and I guess if I didn't ask it would be even more "stupid" to go on thinking I had a tiny bump. I did ask if it was bloat and gas... It wasn't just some idiotic question.

And whoopdie doo for the internet, since it makes everyone so educated on their pregnancy. I guess eighty percent of these people need to get off the internet and go to med school, since everyone retains so much info.

I've been doing a lot of research on my body and pregnancy... And one of the reasons I felt I could be showing is because in some of my research it did say the uterus was the size of a grapefruit and some smaller frames like myself, can show as early as six weeks bc of the uterus.

I know how big the baby is

Exactly where do you think your uterus is located? Because unless it's somewhere it shouldn't be, or you somehow don't have a pubic bone, you're bloated, not showing.

I guess you forgot to read that in my op, that I did say I could just be excited and it's bloating and gas

Or maybe I just have a special smoke baby or alien uterus and it's just different from all you other 8-week-pregnant-moms.

Sorry for all the excitement of my new pregnancy.

@skatie8191‌ Don't at all feel embarrassed for asking that question. Honestly, I didn't know either, a lot of research can give different answers so that's why I clicked on your post to see if any other women had experienced this during their other pregnancies. I'm a first time mum as well and I am constantly asking my Mum and sister who have had children questions! People don't understand that this is all very new to us! You will find once you start reading posts, you become familiar with the same users that somehow have to have a say on every thread and write negative comments (know-it-alls) I had a bit of a giggle when reading the responses to your post because it's the same women every time! And I don't use this app a great deal.. This club is about support, not putting someone down because they are curious or don't know. I hope you are doing well, and goodluck xx

Thank you! And yes I thought it was for support and so I COULD ask things I'm curious about. Lol I guess I'll just stick with yahoo answers hahaha
  • August '15 feels kinda like a mean girls board...

Some people think just because they are pregnant, hormonal and hiding behind a phone or computer means it is OK to let their inner bitch fly.
Right. I kinda think if any of these females were in an actual new moms club, like real people, they would be completely opposite. Balls behind the keyboard lol
  • August '15 feels kinda like a mean girls board...

The moms on my first BMB (March 2012) are way worse. In the Facebook group some moms created a secret Facebook group just so they could make fun of others and talk shit about other moms and parents. They also kicked people out of the main group. The people in this group aren't even being mean.

    Edit: words

March 2012 is my original BMB as well. That garbage made me sick. I guess that's why this is giving me flashbacks.
I'm totally fine with honesty. And I'm good with snark. I just think that sometimes ladies get way too snippy behind their computers and don't even realize (or care) how rude they are towards newer members. And the fear of being on the wrong end of a bitter, hateful attitude will discourage anyone that's new or a bit uneducated. Not to be all puppies and unicorn farts, but this board is ultimately designed for support and encouragement for people due at the same time. I doubt it would kill anyone to be a smidge kinder.

@JaxxM‌ you go here?!?! How are you? I'm mobile so I can't stalk you properly.

  • @JaxxM‌ doing my happy dance! So glad to go through this with one of my kind ;-)

I'm great. Adoption is great, with some bumps of course. Holidays were way better than I thought, probably largely b/c of this news. DH and I are happy about our first baby! It's been a happy surprise. Hoping this little one sticks. My family needs it. EDD is 8/12 by LMC but I think it's really 8/23.

    Not showing yet, though ;-)

  • This is better than Facebook. Hold on yall... Let me go get the popcorn.
  • Agreed! I use a different app and everytime I come back to this one I see someone being nasty. It's not like that in other groups!
  • For the people are that Irritated with repetitive questions from FTM perhaps you are reading this thread entirely too much. I'm sure you must have better things to do than cut people down, seeing as how you are not a FTM! I could go on but I don't think it's necessary.
