DD was a holy terror at bedtime tonight and LO was screaming. I finally got DD to bed and (after a feeding, more screaming and a swaddle) got LO down too. Minutes ago DD started screaming. I ran to her room and she was sobbing. Said she was worried about baby brother and had to see him "right now!"
Poor kid just kept repeating... "Where is baby brother, is he ok? Mama, I have to see baby brother!"
I carried her downstairs so she could see he was safe (and sleeping) but now DD is curled up with me on the couch. I'm sure I should have put her back to bed right away but she's had a rough day and I couldn't help myself. I hope I haven't set a bad precedent here, hmm.
Awe she must have had a bad dream ): I love the bond between siblings even at a young age. And I'm sure you'll be fine, everyone needs cuddles at some point
We must be in the 6 wk growth spurt (LO will be 6 weeks on wed). He has slept no more than 30 min today and only when held and eating all the time. Since I'm getting over the flu my supply already seems low and I feel like he's frustrated....my new mantra is "this too shall pass"
@kuincBus that's adorable she just wanted to check on her baby bro
I thought ds1 was crying in his room tonight but when I went in to check on him , he was having a laughing fit. He said he was thinking of the elf movie and him trying to climb the escalator. He could not stop laughing.
Goodness I need sleep. I was just creeping jan15's board and I saw a thread saying being induced! And I thought in my head.. Why's that baby being induced so early?! Then I had to remind myself it's almost January and not November anymore..
@kegcrc Fingers crossed that will be true for us too! I've finally gotten to a point where the house is bearable and I'm starting to try to figure out a routine so I can consistently get the dogs exercised too. I'd rather not see all my progress go to hell in a hand-basket...
Emily has been sleeping for almost 3 hours already and hasn't ate in 4! I want her to get up to eat because I don't like it when she goes so long during the day but at the same time I realllly don't want to wake her up because that usually backfires.
I never wake her up to feed during the day unless it's pushing 6hrs..it always backfires!! She usually wakes up on her own after 4.5...
