Random lol but I'm on the hunt for a new vacuum and wanted to hear which ones you guys have and if you would recommend them or not. Right now I have - blue Bissel from Walmart and its awful. Thank you!!
We have a Shark Navigator and it has worked well for us for 5 years now. No bags, easy to empty, picks up cat hair well (we have one American shorthair).
I have all hardwood so I use the cordless Dyson air. I'm a pretty big fan. It's light enough to lug up and down the stairs. The cannister is a little small though so I usually have to empty it halfway through the house. I have a super sheddy dog though.
We have a Dyson at home and at both my jobs. All three are different models, I have no idea what any of the model names are, but I love how they work! Im def a dysons girl.
We have a dyson (the orange ball one, not sure of model name\number) and it is awesome! Their warranty is great, too. Had to send ours in for repair after three years and if was super easy and quick!
Thank you ladies!! We have a dog and 2 cats so I definitely need something is good with hair. It seems like Dyson is pretty popular. I've heard good things about the Sharks as well. Time to research!
Miele is my absolute favorite vacuum brand. The one I have works well with carpet and hardwood floors. My place smells and looks so clean and fresh after I use it; and I love that it is pretty quiet too.

This. We have a Miele too - forget the name but it's the white one. We love it. We have 4 cats with longish hair and it just sucks everything up.
I think I got it at Bloomingdales and used a coupon.
I just got a shark rocket with all the attachments for Christmas and have used it everyday since- so far, so good! I did a lot of reading reviews on this vacuum and specifically had this one on my list. It is a "stick" style vacuum (like the dyson DC59) but does have a cord, it's really long so that's nice and I've heard battery lives with the cordless vac's can be iffy anyways.
ETA- we have hardwood, tile and area rugs, no carpeting.
I got one of those cordless Dysons for my bday (don't recall the model number) and I love it. We only have wood floors, so it's perfect for us. I wouldn't want it if I had a bigger house or lots of carpet, though.
I have a Dyson and I love it. My husband suffers from allergies and since we've had the dyson it's made a huge difference. We were buying a $100 cheapo vacuum once a year, so spending a lot of $ at once for a quality vacuum made sense to us. We've had the dyson for 3 years now, I will never go back!
ETA: we have two dogs and three cats and it keeps up with the hair!
I also have this and it's AMAZING! I have 3 cats and it does wonders at keeping up with the hair. It came with a lot of attachments and is very light too so it's really easy for me to carry around the house. I never loved vacuuming so much!

Roomba 880. It is so worth the money. Best investment for a mom. I can set it overnight and wake up to a vacuumed living room and swept kitchen floor. I am actually asking my husband for the braava which is the wet mop robot. I enjoy a clean house but it is hard when you have kids. This just helps me with the time so I can clean other things.

I would love a Roomba. My friend has one she calls Rosie. She also has the mop one which she has named 'scuba steve'. I am super jealous.
We have a Shark Navigator. Not sure if it has any other name or model number, but it's white and gold. Got it 2 years ago on Black Friday and love it! Hubby loves how it takes care of my curly hair that's everywhere, as well as our cat's hair.
I wanted a roomba until we visited my mom and my dog almost has a heart attack from barking and trying to attack the thing.
We have a Bissell clean view pet something I got at Target. It's my second one, a newer version, since an old roommate stole my last one. It's great. We have hardwood, tile, and carpet. My two dysons crapped out on me and my last Shark was the biggest POS I swear it just moved dirt back and forth.
