I'm in the same boat. About 95% of people I talked to said to avoid the version. It is just too risky. If it goes wrong you end up in an emergency c/s and most of the time it doesn't work anyways. Plus it is very painful! Someone posted their story a while back. Maybe a week ago.
So I'm scheduling a c/s at my appointment on Thursday. He's too big to turn on his own now.
But you still have a chance of your DC spinning back around! Mine's head is just too big.
Did they do an U/S or just tell you by feeling around? Just curious how they are able to tell. My sister's 3rd was breech and ended up turning before she had her so there's hope. They were talking about having to turn the baby or give her a c-section.
Versions are either really good or really bad. If it's successful people report barely any pain and worth it. Even though the baby can still flip back after the version. I had a bad version. it was't successful and it was about the most painful thing I've ever done in my life. Even my DH tells people not to have them because the pain isn't worth it. I almost broke his hand it was so painful. I can say though, Csections, when planned aren't that bad. IT's just the recovery that's annoying. Good luck!

U/S, I told doc I was not feeling his as much today and I measured less than I did a couple weeks ago (because he had flipped) so he took me over to the U/S machine.

Can you tell me why it hurt so bad or what it felt like to you? Just want to be prepared. Version is scheduled for Saturday...I'm wondering if I want to call doc back.
Have you checked out the Spinning Babies website? A lot of babies can turn as late as when mom is in labor, depending on various factors. It can't hurt to try some of the techniques on that site. GL!
I second the Spinning Babies website. You can also look into the Webster Technique with a chiro. You still have LOTS of time to start turning this baby. A lot of people also try acupuncture. Good luck!
My chiro had mentioned something about helping to get the baby to turn on its own when I first got pregnant if necessary. I want to say it had to do with like a warm and cook pack.
I am just lurking on this site, but I am a chiropractor and there is a technique called the webster breech technique, you can go to ICPA4kids.com (internation chiropractic pediatric association) to find a chiropractor in your area that is certified. The technique is none invasive and helps to correct sacral misalignment, balance pelvic muscles and ligaments which in turn removes torsion to the woman's uterus, its resulting constraint to the baby, and allows the baby to get into the best possible position for birth. I am sure if you visit a chiropractor in your area they will have additional information that is difficult to describe on this blog. Hope you find something that works, goodluck.

I'm really scared of both version and C. BOO!
