3T FAMILY REUNION!!!

(BFPs, pregnancies, losses, children, etc.)

It's been awhile since we had a reunion, and I thought that the holidays would be a good time to check-in on each other. @NariaDreaming told me it was okay to post this. I know @RunCC37 was leading this check-in for awhile (thank you!), and then the rest of us kind of flaked (including me) when asked to pick up the torch. So while maybe not a monthly check-in, a semi-annual check-in might be nice!

This is NOT exclusively for 3T Grads – this is for former 3T regulars, regardless of whether you're still trying, are pregnant, have had a loss, have chosen to live child-free, are pursuing adoption, or are currently parenting.

If you posted regularly on 3T back in 2013 or earlier (or even early 2014 counts), then this is for you! It's to check-in on our old friends who have now drifted to different boards for their current situation (be that 3T, IF, IFV, PAIF, SAIF, BMBs, 3rd Party Reproduction, Adoption, CFNBC, or something else).

Because the updates from the last check-in in September are likely outdated for many, I'm just tagging those who were tagged previously – if I'm missing anyone, please tag them so we can add them next time!

We've been trying since March 2013. We had an early term miscarriage this spring. I had a pretty bad pulmonary embolism a few years ago after 14 years of birth control so any sort of hormonal fertility aid is impossible for us. We're in our late 30's so time is running short.

I wish you the best of luck, and sorry to hear about your loss, but I don't think this check-in is the best place for you. This is for those of us who were already posting on Trouble Trying to Conceive in 2013 regularly and knew each other to see how we're all doing.

May I suggest the 3T Weekly Check-In as a place to start since it seems like you unfortunately are having trouble conceiving? The 3T girls are wonderful, the community can be truly inspirational here. It's why those of us who used to post here might want to check-in on each other once in awhile

Hi Pretty 3T ladies!

I was a reg here in late 2012 through 2013, but have become a lot less active the last year now that I have moved on to IFV status.

A lot has been going on with me since the September check-in. We did our testing with the RI and she found a few immune issue that need to be addressed during treatment cycles, so now in addition to my RE's protocol, I also have a protocol from the RI as well. In November we did IVF #4 (crazy right?) which was a version of the antagonist protocol with estrogen priming. We also had to convert our cycle to a freeze all because of lining issues. We retrieved 10 mature eggs, which is an all time high for me, and 7 fertilized normally. We got the disappointing news that by day 3 most of our embryos were slow growing and highly fragmented/poor quality. Amazingly two of our crappy embryos made it to blast on day 6 and were high enough quality to freeze.

Right now I am prepping for a FET of our only 2 frozen blasts. I just started lupron yesterday and my estimated transfer date is 1/20. DH and I have decided that this is our last try for biological children. If this FET fails we will either move on to DE or give donor embryos another shot (for those that don't know we did a FET with donor embryos last May).

Hi girls!!! All the warm happy wishes. So hopeful for both of you, @Twinkie0612 and @BlueJoan!!!

Question for all those PAIF/SAIFers: I check in to the 3T Grad Check-In weekly, but I think it may need a bit of a tweak as a system to make it more useful. Perhaps tagging grads so people remember to check-in, keeping track of BFPs (for those 3Ters looking for positive stories), and maybe even a system matching PAIF "buddies" to new BFPs who want a "mentor" of sorts? I've just seen a lot of new PAIF girls really struggle with emotions and nerves the first few weeks, especially if they've had a particularly long, rough path or have experienced prior losses. We expect it to be sunshine and roses as soon as you get the BFP, and for most of us it is even more stressful for awhile. I know lots of us felt really lost at first, and having a mentor/buddy system for those who have been through it might help. Do I have any grads who would be willing to volunteer? I can help organize this, if anyone has any other ideas.

And as for me, we've got 3 weeks until my due date with Ryan Henry, but my best guess is we won't make it quite that far before he's here. All is measuring on track, no worrisome complications. It's been a really easy pregnancy overall!

I just seem to have been having real contractions on and off, which I guess could be called prodromal labor? At 37 weeks, I'm >2cm dilated, 50% effaced, up from 1 cm and 25% effaced the week before, and baby is fully in "launch position". And the contractions keep coming! I've stuck myself on the couch in the hopes that we can hold off delivery until at least after Christmas. I'm still hopeful we'll make it to January. But the due date of January 13th seems a bit of a stretch at this point!

All in all, it's been an easy pregnancy, and for that I'm grateful. I've enjoyed being pregnant, will probably miss it a little bit, but I'm SO excited to meet our little guy (petrified, overwhelmed, but excited). I'm not afraid of L&D, but I'm impatient to know how/when this all will go down. Waiting is never the easy part.

I don't really know. I remember seeing grads go up to their due date and then end up with babies, and it blew my mind because it seemed so fast. But it honestly passed even faster with my own pregnancy!

I blinked and then I went from 12 weeks to 37 weeks. I swear!

Hello Lovelies!
We did IVF # 3/transfer # 4 in November and I am currently 7w5d with twins! It has been a rollercoaster as I had some bleeding last week and I can honestly say being pregnant is far harder than TTC! I hope as the pregnancy goes on I will feel more relaxed but for now its pretty stressful and scary.
@southernyankeegirl I think I need a mentor!

Well...I'm feeling totally intimidated by twins, but otherwise just bloated with sore boobs. Every now and then I gag while brushing my teeth. We did have an u/s and were able to see both heartbeats. I go back on Friday and hope to be able to measure the heart rates. And I told my sister today and she cried a little. We are telling our folks on Christmas by giving them stockings that say Baby X (which I ordered before I knew they there were two). Our moms are going to freak out.

@shelbeans82 - I'm sorry the early PAIF days are full of anxiety! I remember them well. Normally I'm all over being a sounding board and the PAIF buddy for new people, and I'd take you on in a second, but since I am about to be a teensy bit occupied... perhaps @sugar4bri could be your buddy since she just volunteered? Especially since you're both expecting twins?

I'm not sure what I'd ask of the buddy system, except for the PAIF buddy to be someone who the newly pregnant 3Ter could check in with and talk through all the anxieties of early pregnancy after IF. Someone to unleash all of their stresses and anxieties to during the betas and early ultrasounds. I know it's different for each lady, but I think for the most part until 9-12 weeks or so, it's just an extended anxiety attack. Just a sounding board for that time period via PM would probably be nice! Girls can choose to exchange email addresses or connect on FB if they feel comfortable, but TB PMs would work just fine.

Our first round of IVF with ICSI in September 2014 was a success! I am currently 15 weeks and 4 days with fraternal twins. They are measuring right on track and we are so excited! We went in today for an elective ultrasound to find out the sexes of the twins for Christmas. It looks like we are TEAM PURPLE! So excited to have a little boy and a little girl! This is going to be one exciting adventure!

Love hearing these updates, so much excitement!! FX so hard for those cycling!!!

I can totally relate to the twin mamas to be - it is definitely a lot to process! I often describe it as being nervously excited. I can't wait, but I'm also afraid of having two little babies, completely dependent on us for everything - it's a bit overwhelming to think about! I'm around if anyone wants to talk or vent or freak out!! Or once the babies are here, for any advice I can pass on

I'll be 32w on Thurs with my two munchkins, I can't believe how quickly time is flying by! We're just working on our list of things to do - making good progress on the nursery and the name debate! Nothing is done haha, but we're working on it all! Babies are getting big! As of last week, baby boy is 3.4lbs and baby girl is 3.25lbs and they are so active, especially baby girl! Regular dance parties and I think she's into yoga - always stretching up into my ribs!

I'm always rooting for our 3Ters!! Wishing you all a happy holiday season

Hey ladies. I was just checking out PAIF and I am happy to see some names I recognize over there. Hugs to all who are here, on IF and IFV. Has anyone heard from @zookbride‌ ? There was another girl who posted on here a bunch that moved on to adoption. She was Canadian but I can not remember her name. I hope everyone is doing well and has success soon.

AFM it's hard to believe I have a 6 month old. He is a happy guy, full of smiles. He is army crawling now so we are baby proofing too. I had outpatient surgery to fix some scar tissue after labor and I just got the all clear today. Life has been very busy and I am really looking forward to the day that LO starts sleeping through the night! We are really excited about our first Christmas with a baby. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!

Hello all!! I'm late in my response but the holidays have been crazy and I havent been on here much lately. I'm 26w6d with a very active little girl from IVF #1. This whole pregnancy thing has been a lot harder than I thought but I'm so very grateful and thankful for every minute of it. I haven't had any complications really just terrible all day sickness for 17 weeks, 2 UTIs, and the flu that knocked me down for 2 weeks. Now I'm just tired and swollen but otherwise counting my blessings! We have the nursery almost done and are waiting on her name until we meet her. Time is starting to fly by now!

Miss it here! I check almost everyday to see how everyone is doing.

I'm almost 11 weeks now. Doing really well. Just tired and peeing a lot at night, no morning sickness! I had some spotting the day after Christmas. Doctor had me come in for an US and everything was fine. And I haven't had anymore since. Scored the doctors cell number though! Baby measured a day ahead with a heart rate of 181 and was told I have a 95% chance of making it to the end now.

hi friends! I changed my username (because safety) I used to be mommym.incberg. Anyways!! C is now 10.5 months old and just decided to learn how to crawl TODAY. I was starting to get worried...(Not really, he just has a million aunts who like to carry him everywhere and he got lazy). He prefers we hold him under the arms so he can walk where he needs to go, but it's killing my back!

I am incredibly lucky that he is such an easy baby, sleeps 12 hours a night and goes down to sleep without being rocked, and although I really miss rocking him, i'm glad he doesn't fight going to sleep. DH and I are planning our FET for #2 in Jan. 2016, with a good 2 1/2 year age difference btw LOs.

I still lurk tons, and still think about my IF twin @futurehuber , I know she has a little boy C's age too now, and I wonder if she still lurks around! Best wishes to you all and fingers crossed the New Year brings everything you are hoping for! xo

Quick update cause I'm late and completely out of it as per usual. But what a great way to look at 2014 in retrospective.

I am in a very good place right now. Considering 2014 was a mad crazy year for DH and I!!

I got settled into a new much less stressful and fabulous job, DH finished his BS and enrolled in his MBA, we bought and moved into a new house, we got PG! and then lost our little one, we tried our first FET and got a BFN, and then I went to Disney World (I completely boozed it up and did all the bad eating while there)!

So yeah, we had our ups and downs this year, but looking at that list, we had many more ups than downs, so in that way I count my blessings. I am healthy, and we still have the ability and resources to continue to try again. I basically took a break for Dec, and will likely cycle again in mid Jan or early Feb 2015. For those that pray, prayer is always appreciated, as I still continue to pray for you all as well. And for my sisters to whom praying is not your thing, I'll take well wishing vibes from you all as well!

For all of us, I wish that 2015 be a kick ass year of progress! For those still here and fighting, I hope that 2015 will be our year. For those who have changed their path in the journey, I hope that 2015 will be a year of complete life contentment and fulfillment, however that comes to you. For those who have graduated, I hope that 2015 brings about the birth and growth of crazy strong and robust little ones with lots of great updates!

Okay that's my update, now to get caught up on all of you!

@southernyankeegirl Thanks for setting up the tread hun! AAAAAND you’re about ready to pop! How exciting! I’m so glad to hear that you have had a smooth pregnancy. And cool Christmas jammies!

As for the idea of PAIF buddies, I think that is a great idea! Though I probably would not have looked for one until after I entered 1^st tri. I was so nervous last time, I didn’t even leave IF until I was 7 wks and probably for good reason, as I ended up right back about a week later. So, next time, I don’t think I could even dare to dream of planning until I reach 14 wks.

@Twinkie0612 Great news that you got frosties! Any RE will tell you that this is definitely more art than science, and many a healthy baby has been born from what they would grade as “crappy embryos”. However the outcome, just be really good to yourself during and after treatment.

@BlueJoan I hear you on the D&C post report. Mine was pretty much inconclusive because of gender. (((HUGS))) to you ,and I hope that your wait passes quickly for you.

@Rumbera good luck with your IVF cycle. Your first right? And I hear you on the adoption. DH and I have always talked about adoption since we got married, but with the way our IF has been going, we went from wanting 2 Bio and 1 adopt, to hoping for 2 Bio 1 adopt, to praying for 1 Bio 1 adopt, with the understanding that we will be lucky if we get that. But we are on the same page that if our frosties don’t work out, we will be attempting adoption in Trinidad (DHs home country) and have started research on that path as well.

@sugar4bri Glad that you did not end up feeling crummy for Christmas, and I’m sure you will do just fine when your little ones get here! J

@Ronniesgirl1981 It may be my IF brain, cause I remember your BFP, but NOT that there are two in there!!! Congratulations 2X!! Serious kick in the face to all those BFNs! Yay to the great surprises of life!

@TLooney17 Congrats on the BFP and great Beta! FX for your U/S next Monday.

I'm 22 weeks as of Thursday. We had our scan and we are having a healthy baby girl!! After all that we've been through with this pregnancy (see siggy) we are finally at the happy and excited stage instead of the scared and afraid stage. My family is over the moon. She's a very modest little girl as it took multiple attempts to see her lady parts. She also already has developed a personality in my tummy. She gets angry when I lay a certain way and I swear she knows her daddy because every time he hugs me, she moves like she's trying to get in on the hug. Overall, things are going well. We've had a few spats with the families over the baby (everyone thinks they have rights to her in some way, shape or form), but it's blown over and we are standing our ground. Congrats to everyone and I hope for BFPs for everyone still trying. 2015 is a fresh start and a new beginning. Good luck and lots of love to all.

I'm late to the party! I'm 22wks. Lately I've had more worry and paranoia creep back in, maybe b/c I've been battling a cold for so long and I hate having to take medicine - going on 3 weeks now. But I feel her move everyday, so that keeps me a little at ease. We are having the nursery painted this weekend and the shower in just under 3 weeks - holy crap!

@letsgobowlingx on my goodness, I still remember you from my earlier 3T days, and I can't believe how big she is!! Love her hair.

Hey 3T! I love reading through these reunion check-ins to see how everyone is doing. Sorry I'm late to the game and not tagging everyone, Joseph is 7 weeks on Thursday and keeps me pretty busy (up for a MOTN feeding right now). He was born on Nov 13th via c-section and we're both doing really well. He's developing so fast, he was smiling by 1 month and now sort of giggles a little and bats at his toys, and he's a super strong kicker! Making slow progress with sleeping longer stretches. He's such a happy baby, I feel really lucky. Time is flying by and I still can't believe that I just celebrated Christmas with a baby, it's unbelievable that we have a little one. He needs to slow down and stay tiny for a while! He's amazing and I wish so hard for those who are still battling IF to be able to experience this. One thing that I can say about dealing with IF is that I truly take nothing for granted with him and think about how much of a gift he is every single day. There have been lots of happy tears over the past 7 weeks! I'm sorry to see so many new faces on the board, but glad that you found it cause this is such an awesome group of ladies, both past and present

Looking forward to the next reunion!

Hi ladies! Sorry I'm so late to the game! Lots of mobile time, so I don't get on TB nearly as often as I used to, especially since Emma was born!

We got our BFP in February on our 4th IUI and was due Nov 7th. I developed preeclampsia and was admitted to the hospital at 37w5d and induced. After a 57 hour failed induction, Team Green turned Team Pink on October 24th, 9:25pm at 38w0d when Emma Grace arrived via csection; weighing in at 6lbs 5oz and 18 3/4in long. I'm still struggling with the labor/delivery process, but at the end of the day, Emma came out happy and healthy and that's ultimately all that mattered, so I try to remind myself of that when I think about how awful those 57 hours were.

Emma has been in perfect health since birth with the exception of 2 surgeries to correct an upper lip tie and a posterior tongue tie. Unfortunately, by the time she was properly diagnosed and the issues were corrected, I had severe nipple trama and had to stop breastfeeding and start exclusively pumping. Emma has been sleeping through the night for the last week or so, but I still get up in the middle of the night to pump (I'm actually pumping right now!) I'm proud to say that at 9w5d, despite our breastfeeding issues, she has still been fed 100% breastmilk! Being an exclusive pumper is hard, but so worth it!

She reminds us daily that we have so much to be thankful for.

As always, I'm rooting for you ladies

so many new faces around here, which I'm sad about, because seriously screw IF, but I'm glad you all found 3T because they are an amazing group of women. I hope 2015 brings all of you great news!

@tippytoes06 our experiences sound so similar, failed induction, c-section, breastfeeding issues and nipple damage and all! My induction was only 36 hours before surgery though and that was bad enough, sorry you had a traumatic experience too. But worth every minute for a healthy baby

So many names here, familiar and new- all of this good news! @ttuprincess and @gsancho and @1983lindsey, I remember you well, and your happiness shines through your words

I posted here a lot for a somewhat short time.. Pretty much the fall of 2013, when we finally "broke down" and went to an RE, who rec'd clomid + IUI. We had our BFP with IUI #2. The ladies here were so freakin' encouraging and helpful, I don't know how I would have navigated the waters if not for 3T.

Alexander was born on 8/9/14, and is basically perfect. I mean, he doesn't sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time, and he's teething, but he's the best thing that's ever happened in my life (and I've had a pretty great life thus far!) and I wouldn't change a thing. He's a smiley snuggly baby who looooves to flirt with the ladies. I've been back to work now for a month, and it's soo hard to be away but rewarding to be excelling at work, and then come home to my little family. LO is still EBF when he's with me and I pump for his days. It feels pretty amazing to know I've been keeping a human alive with my breasts for going on 5 months, as weird as that may be to say.

I'm still here, but have been quiet for a while. Sorry for being MIA.

My anxiety and depression became significantly worse, and I become pretty withdrawn when that happens. I'm glad to say that I have finally been seeing a therapist, and that it is helping.

As I have mentioned on a couple of other threads: Even though I haven't posted much, please know that I have always kept you all in my prayers.

I am starting BCP again, to hopefully start IVF in early February. I didn't want to potentially start a pregnancy while I had mental/emotional stuff to work out.

Our son turned 4 months old this month his adjusted preemie age is 2 months 1 week and 6 days.The little lovebug made his arrival earlier than I anticipated he was due on October 27th 2014 but I went into labor on Labor Day when my water broke early and he decided he wanted his birthday to be September 2nd instead.The baby's 2 month early arrival threw us for some loops the hospital said I was going to have to be admitted to the hospital at 32 weeks that labor day even if my labor didn't start because of my water breaking, but labor progressed and he made his entrance into our hearts the next morning. The little lovebug had to spend some time in the nicu but not long thankfully , and I can't say enough wonderful things about nicu drs and nurses they are such dedicated loving people to take care of the smallest treasures in someone's life wonderful people they are.He is growing more and more each day and is such a happy laid back baby my husband and I are so greatful for our little guy, and hope that everyone who is struggling with infertilty gets to experience the joy that we are experiencing know that your in my thoughts and prayers I'll be hoping for Bfp's for all of you.
