Fading symptoms need reassuring

hello ladies! I'm having fading symptoms and just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I believe I am 10 weeks today, I had a miscarriage back in October and didn't have a period in between so not exactly sure when my due date is. (Don't have u/s until jan 5)
The past week, week and a half I feel my symptons fading. My boobs would be so sore at night I would toss and turn all night. They don't hurt quite as much anymore. I was nauseous all day every day but now I only feel nauseous certain times of the day. I am not peeing as much but I haven't been drinking as much water as I was either. I haven't really had any other symtoms besides those 3. Has anyone had fading symptoms or changing symptoms and went on and had healthy pregnancies? I'm just anxious because of my past miscarriage. I want everything to be ok. I'm scared of having a missed miscarriage, and not hear a heartbeat on the 5th :( any input would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Re: Fading symptoms need reassuring

  • Don't have any experience with this but I am thinking and hoping maybe you are further along and the unpleasantries are bowing out gracefully. I know how horrible it is to have the constant dread after a MC. In the IF group, they call it "IF brain"... The constant fear that something will go wrong. Thoughts are with you!

  • Around week 10 the fatigue and nausea can/should start to slow down. I've had a really easy pregnancy and only a little nausea, but it's been completely gone the last few days. Try not to stress about it and just embrace the break from nausea.

  • I know it's hard to not worry, but given that you're close to the end of the first tri, I'd say fading symptoms could be totally normal. Heck, some women barely have any symptoms for their entire pregnancy. Sending you good thoughts for your u/s.

  • Thank you ladies for the replies! I am trying not to stress I know it's not good for baby. I am hoping that is the case, I am closing in on my first trimester so that could definitely be the reason for my fading symptoms. I'm just praying for a healthy baby! I hate waiting! Haha. U/s is only 9 days away and I'm dying to hear the heartbeat! My hubby will be at air assault school so I will be at this appointment by myself. I pray there is a heartbeat or else I would be devastated.
  • I'm sorry for your loss, but as pp said symptoms can start fading at the end of the 1st trimester, and they can come and go as well.

I know for me personally, my symptoms started fading around 9 weeks. I of course started freaking out about it(pgAL brain). About a week later they came back stronger than ever.

Embrace your days with lessened symptoms and try not to worry yourself sick!

  • My symptoms subsided a week ago. Around 9 weeks. No hurting boobs, no nausea, it worried me as well. I had a ultrasound and saw my jelly bean healthy and happy. Strong heartbeat of 166. I can feel my uterus when I lie down. Right between my pubic bones. Don't worry. All will be ok. :)

  • So sorry for your loss. Been there too and it can drive you nuts. I am 9.5 weeks and lasr week had the same feelings. Less tired and less nausea...and now it has back. Stay positive as hard as it can be. I am in the same boat-my first appt isn't until the 2nd and I know it will only be a confirmation of pregnancy visit..then ultrasound soon after like you. Cannot wait either!

  • Just wanted to add more reassurance. Worrying is the worst! I kept myself up one night stressed out because my boobs had stopped hurting (right around 10 weeks), now they're back full force 2 weeks later. Hope the next week flies by for you!

  • Up until 11 weeks 3 days I was nauseous all day long! Then I was fine for almost a week. My symptoms came back. I think that symptoms just come and go. Believe me I was a nervous wreck until I saw that beautiful baby of ours on the ultrasound last Tuesday! Try to stay positive and your ultrasound will be here before you know it!
  • I've been the same! super worried because i went from Ms that was keeping me from eating anything to only mild nausea and then the strong nausea at night. My stomach also went flat and was only bloated for a few days this week. Well yesterday I got to see baby and they are completely healthy and happy. I'm 11 weeks now. Hang in there for that scan and try to replace any neg thoughts you're having with positive ones!
  • I'm feeling same to and have my first scan the same date! Fx for you, I can't stop worrying I'm a nervous mess
  • I had the same worries. My symptoms (of which there wasn't many to begin with) started fading at 9 weeks. I got all panicky and got a Doppler, which reassured me until my next appt.

I'm sorry for your previous loss! If it's any reassurance, I think it's normal for symptoms to start to fade at 9-11 weeks as you head into the 2nd tri.
