Liesel?

What do people think about Liesel? I know people here are not fans of first letter sib sets, but DD is Lexi and I thought the two go well together...plus our last name is German!

I suspect LO #2 is a boy but have been trying to come up with solid options either way.

    I have a student this year named Liesel and it's a very weird name to say. It looks pretty on paper, but that soft L at the end makes it very strange.

    Only in the musical; the real names of the children were not quite as pleasant sounding to English ears so they were changed.

    Their real names were (in correct birth order -- which was also changed for the musical):  Rupert, Agathe, Maria, Werner, Hedwig, Johanna, Martina, Rosemarie, Eleonore, and Johannes.

    But for the OP, I do like Liesel, but I prefer other variants of Elizabeth like Lisette, Elsa, and Elspeth better.

    I agree. I do prefer this spelling.  We have a neighbor named this and she spells it Liesl. I love the name, though :)

    Love it! It is a GP pleasure name for me. And I in no way think it hard to pronounce.

    Thanks everyone! I figured some people would not love but I am surprised to see a lot of fans of the name! I mentioned it to DH last night and he hasn't vetoed it...yet...

    LoVe! It's our next one. DD is Grace and when I was pregnant with the triplets, we chose one boy and one girl name, because surely they would be a mix. We hAd grant and Elizabeth (Liesl) reserved. Then, they were all boys! Andrew, grant, And charles.we plan to do another transfer When the boys are 3, DD 4.

    No periods due to 17 years of ballet and distance running after college.  Zero response to 2 months of Clomid, little response to Letrozole.  IUI left with 9 cysts = too many viable eggs due to age.  On to IVF.  Low dose of all meds still produced 37 mature eggs 12.6.11.  Froze due to overstimulation.  

    FET #1.1 1.22.12 BFN.   FET #1.2 2.22.12=GRACE! (and a vanishing twin).  

    Grace Katherine born 10.25.12 @ 36w6w 6#14oz 19.5".
    FET #1.3 3.2013 BFN FET#1.4 4.2013 BFN. Never tried a fresh transfer.  Let's try, despite 10 still frozen.  
    ER 6.26.13 27 mature eggs, slight overstim. ET   7.1.13 ectopic, FET 2.1  9.10.14   TRIPLETS!!  

    Boys born 3.18.14 @ 29w5d.  Andrew Jack 3#6oz 16", Grant Robert 3#9oz 16", Charles Phillip 3#7oz 17".

    I LOVE Liesel Caroline.. I have Liesel down on my list as well for a baby girl name.. I grew up watching the sound of music and have always loved this beautiful

    Thank you!  We considered Caroline for DD's middle name, but it flows better with Liesel!
