Re: So...What did Santa bring???
Kaden & Owen got a wooden table & chair set from my parents. And lots of cute smaller gifts and books from family & Santa. For instance Kaden loves his red ex-large matchbox car and motorcycle - we could have stopped there. Owen loves his Sofie, soft blocks and wooden jingle bell.
The favorites were the new bike with training wheels, a large car parking structure for Kaden and a weird toy hippo with pop up balls for Owen. EV and I tend to stay away from noise making toys but this hippo toy is super cute and Owen laughed as Kaden chased the flying balls around the room.
Of course a black balloon I blew up yesterday and the wrapping paper were equally fun in the eyes of the kids.
We gave handmade glass terrariums. Their little balls and look amazing.
One of our favorite books is Six Dinner Sid.
Also a pic of Kaden and his bottle today. He and EV are sick, so he's getting "hot" tea and a smidge of honey in a bottle to soothe his throat. He doesn't drink from bottles since he was about 14-16 months old so it's a special treat.
.....and one of Owen who had me up from 1-4:40am which is why I'm Delirious!!! Lol
Pics below.
@firstcomeslove2013 parents got us a stand mixer! They also got me the ultimate canning cook book... I can't wait to make some things out of it!
And of course we also got this for Christmas;
Our cups over runneth this year!!!

Oh, and he really enjoyed this lovely box!
Santa was really good to me too. My favorite is my Le Creuset grill pan and a few other kitchen items. Oh, and one of those cushy kitchen mats! Yes, I'm old to be excited about that.
Only real duds were fleece Disney pj pants. Don't get me wrong. They look cozy and warm and I'm sure I'll use them on some frigid days. Just not my cup of tea.
J and I just exchanged stockings this year to save our dollars. I got baby proofing gadgets, a magazine, lip gloss and some other odds and ends. It was perfect for us for this year.
I was actually really spoiled by my sisters and my in-laws this year. To the point where I felt badly b/c they spent too much! My sisters got me a Kate Spade wallet and NorthFace tech gloves. My in-laws got me all kinds of things including winter boots, a NorthFace vest, a new watch, and a bunch of other things. I was overwhelmed.
So, it's a good thing that J and I saved our pennies on each other this year.... Friday night we were driving home from J's parents' house and J's car broke down on the side of the highway. With baby, dog and a boatload of Christmas presents (and other necessities like Will's high chair and RNP) in the car. AAA towed us and my in-laws picked us up and drive us home. Apparently there is an electrical issue (this is the 3rd time in 6 months we have had a major repair on this car, and it's only a 2010) ... Long story short, J might be getting a new car for Christmas ... There goes the house savings fund. Again.
Alas, we all had a great Christmas. So glad to hear all of you did as well!

L and I exchanged Fitbits - which is just proving that I don't move at all at work. :P We also got each other a bunch of yoga stuff in an attempt to do yoga more often.
It was a really nice Christmas. The kids had fun, it was a nice balance of playing and resting, the kids still deeply believe in Santa, and we even went to a movie that afternoon!
