I'm looking at daycares and one of them told me that I will need to pay the fees even if my son donot when he's out on vacation. Does that make sense. If he's out for 2 weeks with prior notice, why should I still pay? Anyone experiencing this?
As a daycare provider myself, I give 10 free days, after that, they pay to hold their spot. Like others have said, if your kiddo goes on vacation, I can't find another kiddo for that short of time to make up the money I would have made. We don't get a salary, so this is how we pay our own bills.
Everything PPs have said. I don't know of a daycare service that doesn't do that. Also the daycare SD uses also requires that we call that days she's out sick, will be late, or will be out for vacation so that food isn't made/ set out for her so it's not wasted either.
