Good morning and Merry Christmas to those who are celebrating! What is the best/your favorite gift you received this holiday season? I'm waiting for DH to wake up before I can open mine!
Married to DH (aka the love of my life) since June 17th, 2006
This morning it has just been DH and I. So far my favorite gift would have to be the a new set of animals for my Willow Tree Nativity Scene. I have been collecting them for a couple of years and my set is finally filling out! I need a few more angels and some scenery. I am hoping at least one of those things will be a present from someone else soon!
As I've mentioned recently, my family and I are getting ready to move about 20 hours away. My mom and I are very close and it has been really hard for us to deal with so far. She gave me a necklace from Kay's that is two separate pieces of a heart with an eternity symbol inside of it. The second piece is on a separate chain that she was already wearing. I had all the feels. There was this strange wet stuff coming out of my eyes. I think I was leaking.
Fiancé got me new golf clubs! It's 50 degrees in my little nook of the Midwest today, but I don't think many golf courses are open, as this is unusual weather. I can't wait to use them!
DH and DD got me a beautiful heart diamond necklace. I'm quite happy
Edit - I need to add a book my parents made. It contains the writings of my grandfather ( still living) and is all about his life, the war, my ancestors.... it's amazing. He doesn't remember writing any of if though he is fully lucid
An Alex & Ani bracelet with my angel baby's birthstone from Mom. I also got a surprise from one of my moms coworkers. They help my mom wrap presents (they nag at her starting 12/1 about when she's going to bring presents in) and a coworker who was wrapping for her this year slipped in a gift that says "every storm eventually ends" with a rainbow in the middle. I ugly cried, I love my moms coworkers.

4/2014 1st BFP * 8/2014 Caleb Emmanuel became an angel * 11/2014 Started TTC Again
I think my favorite was my gift to MH... Tickets to the NHL winter classic in DC on new years day! Probably not very many hockey fans here but I'm so freaking excited!
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.
I got some nice clothes from my favorite store, Anthropologie. I can't remember when was the last time I bought myself clothes, I'm always buying DD more clothes because because she's growing so fast, or buying buying things for the house. I felt very spoiled today

My grandparents got me ththis beautiful pink infinity scarf. Now, given that my usual daily attire is scrubs, I've never worn one before. My grandmother and cousin had to show me how to put it on. And it's the perfect scarf for me! No long dangly pieces, no worrying about tying it right, and it's warm. Coincidentally, it looks super cute with the dress I wore today. I've had it on almost constantly since I opened it.
DH got me fancy crochet hooks with rubber grips. I have wanted the set for a really long time. He knows the way to my heart.
My sister got us a new bird feeder that reminded her of our wedding. It has an old fashion blue jar for the seed part - We used blue mason jars in our center pieces. We live by the woods and love feeding our birds so it will be something we look at daily.
My MIL is getting us a sofa. We are in our 30s and don't have a single piece of furniture that wasn't previously owned. When she told us I cried. I never in my life thought that owning a new piece of furniture would affect me emotionally.

What brand are they? I've been looking for new ones since I just have some cheapy ones.
@kariann12 - He got me these Clover ones... I'm picky about my hooks and will only use the Boyle ones (never Susan Bates). I haven't used these ones yet but the head looks the same. I'm about to try them. Pretty excited.
A toss up between a brand new file cabinet... or the giant Mickey Mouse stuffed animal my sister-in-law gave me. Yes. Those are practically opposites, but I love them both!
DH got me a Diamonds in Rhythm necklace. We haven't exchanged Christmas gifts since 2007. He did a great job & I had to choke back tears. This year has been tough on us in a lot of ways, so we agreed on a set amount to see if exchanging gifts would perk us up a little. It definitely helped!

My parents got me and DH a cooking class with a well-known chef in our town. It is at his home and includes wine and 4 course meal. We are really excited!
This is so cool! I would love to take cooking classes with MH. Hope you guys have fun!
This is the first time we've lived somewhere that it snows and I was bummed that we haven't had any. Woke up this morning to a white Christmas, it was perfect!
...The Sorel snow boots my parents gave me weren't bad either
White Christmases are so special aren't they?! Haven't woken up to one in awhile. Glad you experienced it this year
I usually dread the snow, but I would have loved a white Christmas!
I'm a bit late to the party but MH got me a weekend trip away. And one of the days we are going dog sledding! It's totally a bucket list item and I'm surprised that he remembered me mentioning it.

MH got us tix to see Mellencamp in June - orchestra pit seats, baby!!
@Nikolie93 - Didn't realize your NHL tix were for DC!!! Fun!!!
Yep! I am kinda wishing now some of my presents included a scarf and warm clothes. This Florida chick is going to freeze her nips off at that outside game
The concert sounds awesome btw!
Sounds like many of you ladies got some great gifts... Enjoy!

Dog sledding?!?!?!? That is so cool! Where are you going to do it?

It's a place in Valmount BC I guess that does dog sledding tours. You can drive the team or ride along. We're from northern Alberta so it's only a few hours drive away.
I've been waiting to post because I haven't gotten all my gifts yet, but hell, they're still not here yet. It's really hard to choose, but I love the messenger bag DH got me. It's gorgeous earth-toned canvas with lots of compartments. I only own three bags and my "middle" sized one started fraying so this one shall replace it. Also all the books I got. And the fantastic hand-stitched journal. And a gorgeous watch from my MIL (she didn't just get me plastic gloves :P) I'm very happy and grateful.

My mom has always made fleece blankets the ones you tie on the outside and I've been waiting probably four years for mine and finally got it!! So cozy and warm!
This is super cheesy but my husband got me (us) a little baby outfit. It means a lot to me because I've been ready to start TTC for a long time but he hasn't. I didn't pressure him and I gave him his space about it because I wanted us to be in this together. To have him get me an item of baby clothing showed me that he does think about having a baby outside of our conversations and it really meant a lot.
I feel like I need to mention that we won't go out buying baby stuff because that's just kind of silly when I'm not even close to being KU. It was just the sentiment behind it.
Another really awesome gift was a handlettering book and ledger he bought me. I'm really into handlettering and calligraphy so this book was really cool!
DH bought me a sewing machine! I've been really wanting to learn, and bonus- he let me pick it out (I'm picky and he wouldn't know the first thing about picking put a sewing machine)

Too bad it wouldn't work with scrubs.
