  • I'm so sorry you are going through this. Labor and delivery is not a great place to rest and relax but do your best. I can't imagine how much I would miss my little man (15 months old) if I had to be in L&D. But like the ladies have said you are in the best place you can be and they will take good care of you and your LO. There are a few ladies who have delivered and they and their LOs are doing well so try to focus on that. I'm sending you good peaceful vibes and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Here's hoping you can keep her cooking a bit longer.
  • T&P's coming your way! Keep on cookin LO! Please keep us updated.

O my! Your in just the same boat as me! You have done so well to get to past 30 weeks! Well done! This is such an encouragement for me- what stage are they hoping to get you to? I'm sorry u miss your boys, it's so difficult isn't it. I just keep focusing on a time we are altogether at wonderful home again! Have u been in hospital the whole time? Great idea about asking to not be disturbed between those hours, I will def ask the same. I was getting some pains last night- goodness I've been so worried I just hope she stays put I bit longer. But like @MrsScally13‌ said there have been mums that have had early babys on here and are doing great!
  • I'm so glad I could be a comfort for you as I would not wish this predicament on anyone. They are hoping to get me to 34 weeks as well and then I will have a C-section because baby Paul is Breech. I too have had several different symptoms, including bleeding and small contractions, and now not much fluid left, But my Body and Baby have been Resilient through it all. Unfortunately I have been in the hospital this whole time, but it really is the best place to be when your facing this situation. At first it was very difficult being away from my family and Boys. I'm not used to so much solitude and quietness as you can probably imagine. I'm happy to say My life revolves around them.
But as time has gone by, it has become alittle easier. My nurses are a great comfort to me and have truly become like my best friends. Also I have come to have a little routine which helps. However, I do have days where I'm just tired of this whole situation and have to remind myself that it's only temporary. That this time next year we will all be together and this will seem like a bad dream. For now My (our) job is to take care of this baby inside us and do our best to stay positive and sane.
  • I'm in the same exact position as you are! It's so hard. I have two boys at home (7 and 2 1/2) and it stinks being away from them they come visit when they can and we face time which helps, but it's lonely! Especially that it's the holiday season. But we are doing the best we can for these little babies and the doctors and nurses will make sure we are taken care of!
  • @sondraagrusa‌ I'm so pleased your baby and body are coping so well with this. Your doing a great Job. I've woke up this morning with tummy pains but feels more like sickness bug then contractions. I really hope she stays in there a bit longer. Your right though this is only temp and soon will be home with our baby's and boys! Have u had the steroid shots? Did they make u feel a bit poorly? Baby went quite for a day after but seems to be moving more again now. What are your boys called? I have Kyle 11 Theo 6 and Reuben 5 :x
  • @Icw8981 I'm so sorry u going though this also- it's horrible, but your right we in best place possible. We will get through this! So have your waters gone? How far on are u?
  • Hi again! I have had 2 sets of the steroid shots. They hurt a lot, but other than that it's the Magnesium that made me feel awful. Right now I feel pretty good. I Have had some Braxton hicks contractions the last few days, but not very painful. Tomorrow is my ultrasound to see how baby is growing, especially since there's no fluid. Wish me luck!
My boys names are John, Steven, Adam, and Peter. The newest Boy will be named PauI. I love your boys names! Take care and try to get some rest.
  • I'm thinking about you both please let me know how the scan goes. I'm glad your feeling good. Do they monitor Paul's heart rate often? Or just do regular scans? What's your routine day to day? I haven't got one yet and felt like I was going crazy yesterday! Do they let u out for the day to come back in the eve? Sorry for so many questions it's just so nice to speak to someone who understands how I feel. I love your boys names too. We nearly went with Peter with one of them, it's a lovely name. O yes the steroids hurt a lot! They made me go really red aswell! You take care. Hope to hear from you soon.
  • Thoughts and prayers and hope you can get some good rest.
  • @gemvloz7‌, the ultrasound showed baby Paul's growth is 2 weeks behind schedule, but I reminded my Dr. That all my baby's have been about 6lbs at full term, so he should be just fine and thrive once he gets my healthy breast milk. I have a scan every Tuesday to make sure he is doing okay inside me. They also monitor Paul's heart rate twice a day. 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night.
My everyday routine starts at 8am with Breakfast. Then because I have gestational diabetes they come and test my blood sugar. (I get picked 4 times a day, an hour after I eat.)
Then at 10am the nurse comes in to monitor baby's heart rate. After that, the rest of my day is free. I take a shower and then order my lunch. All the while, trying to find something to watch on TV. Then at 2-230 I take a nap until 430, so that the day goes by a little faster. Then I get up and freshen up because my husband usually comes to visit me after work about 5. We have dinner together and then he leaves to go be with our four boys. They are good Boys and the "Bigs" help take care of the "littles"sometimes. (There age range is 12,11,8,and 4.) then about 8 pm the nurse comes in to monitor baby one last time. At 9pm I take my meds. And at 10pm I go to sleep for the night. The last couple nights have been rough though because I'm leaking blood now and have to change my pad often. I also have been having weird dreams. So that's it. That's my daily routine. I still get bored and annoyed with not having any privacy. And it can be quite lonely at times, but if I can do it so can you Girl. Try to stay positive and if you believe in God as I do, pray daily for strength.
I'm now 31 weeks and 1 day. It still amazes me that with no amniotic fluid, consistent bleeding, and irregular contractions, how resilient my body is.
Again I hope you are doing well today and hope that you find some comfort as I do knowing you are not alone in this. Your a good Momma, doing an Awesome thing for your baby. Christmas next year we will both be celebrating with our new little ones and family, the way God intended! Take care, Sondra
  • Hi @sondraagrusa‌ hearing from you and what your going though makes me feel stronger as I don't feel so alone, so thank u so much for sharing with me. I do believe in God and pray for strength everyday while also praying for others. Im glad baby paul is still cooking in there, you are doing such a good job! I'm starting to feel like I'm getting into bit more of a routine now, yesterday was a good day as a had lots of visitors but was having contractions too so couldn't talk much! My cervix is still very much closed though. Do they know why u are leaking blood? I'm glad u having a scan every week, it's sounds like u in very good hands. We can do this! Your right, next year we will all be at home with our big family :)
  • Hi @sondraagrusa‌ How is everything with you and baby boy?
  • @gemvloz7‌, Hi again! Still here in Antepartum in the hospital and still pregnant. 32 weeks today! I finally have a due date for Baby Paul. He will be delivered by c-section (because he's breech) on 1/5/15 at 4:30pm. Woo hoo!!! The end is near.
  • @gemvloz7‌, how are you doing? Hanging in there I hope. I know it's hard being I the hospital through the Holidays, but hopefully you will have lots of visitors to help cheer you up. Take care!
  • Thoughts and prayers for you and the baby!
