As 2014 is coming to an end lets share our highs and our lows of the past year.

BFP #2 12/30/2014 ~ EDD 9/13/2015 Stick bean stick!
This year probably had more highs and lows then any previous year.
Lows: The loss of our baby girl Brynlee at 19w due to pre-term labor. That was by far the most difficult and emotional experience I have ever been through. I still think of her at some point most days and sometimes I still cry over what will never be.
My other low was my love bug of a dog Oliver running away and going missing for 2 entire weeks. R got so depressed and it was just to much for either of us to handle after the year we had already had. We spent two weeks sleeping on the living room floor on an air mattress because it was closest to the front door and we wanted to hear him if he came home at night.
Highs: I had one vial of sperm left and our donor was sold out so we had one chance to get pregnant with Brynlee's 100% biological sibling and it took!! I am now 30w pregnant with Brynlee's biological sister and although this pregnancy has had some stressful moments and I continue to worry every day that something will go wrong I am becoming more and more confident that in about two months R and I will be bring home our take home baby and our lives will be turned up-side down for the best and most rewarding reason possible.
My other high was after 2 long weeks Oliver being found for the most part healthy minus some serious weight loss. At the moment he is laying beside me sleeping. He loves snuggling with my belly and will (fingers crossed) make a good big brother very soon.
Lets bring in 2015 with lots of pregnancies and healthy babies!!!

Highs: 1/2/14. The day we first saw two flickering heartbeats on the ultrasound. 8/3/14-currently. Every day at home with my sons. Extended maternity leave has been the sweetest joy. As each day passes, my boys become more and more adorable, silly, playful, and smart. Everyday my love for them and my gratitude to any and all higher powers for their existence, including all the NICU doctors, grows exponentially.

After 10 months of ttc via medicated IUIs and two early losses, we finally got our boys- Perfect premie twins born 5/27/14.
Lows: Probably just the post-partum period. Between the baby blues, magnesium, being unable to walk due to nerve damage in my foot, and getting pee all over myself and the bed every time I tried to use a bedpan, my son's first week or so was not the best. Having a brand-new newborn and dealing with all the confusion and sleep deprivation and feelings of inadequacy was hard, and breast-feeding was the pits. But I had to go through that to get to the love fest that has been months 3-6, so I'll take it!
9 IUIs = 9 BFNs
IVF October 2012: 22 eggs retrieved, 17 fertilized, 5 frozen
ET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Blighted ovum discovered at 7w5d; D&E
FET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Missed m/c discovered at 9w5d; D&E
Karyotyping: normal ~ RPL Testing: normal ~ Hysteroscopy: normal
FET #2: 1 blast transferred 10/25; BFP 10/31!
EDD 7/13/14 ~ Induced at 37w4d due to pre-eclampsia ~ Born on 6/28/14

High: Finding out that test was wrong, and S is chromosomally normal!!! Tied with that would be the ease of her birth and how much I got to enjoy her coming into the world, little-to-no postpartum yucks and the ability to take the full 20 weeks of maternity leave (8 of which were unpaid).
Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!

Loss due to umbilical cord clot...baby was perfect.

Sept. '13 - FET#2 - BFN
Dec.' 2, 2013 - FET#3 with our last chance embie - BFP!!!

EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle
Also in 2014, I received a nice promotion that i feel really proud of.
Low: The drama with my SIL (as explained in the most recent Confessions thread) has been the worst. Lots of sadness and anger because of it.
Highs: Our trip to Florida in March. Getting approved for our loan for IVF.
Low: My cp. The fresh and FET cycles not working.

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm. 8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy. We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET. I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.
11/14/14 - Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.
12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2
12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)
1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.
High- Finding out I was pregnant and then having the girls. The real high came this week when I finally felt that overwhelming love and adoration for my girls (I always loved them, but I hadn't really expressed that all-encompassing feeling some women talk about...I think that came from my hormone issues)
Married to M and proud mothers to Olivia and Elise (8/19/2014) and to our fur-babies: Capone (pitbull), Jax and Atticus (cats)
Low: his first 5 days of life in the NICU, my truly rough recovery from child birth including infected stitches, weeks 4-5 of Will's life in Children's Hospital when he had an infection (lowest low, having to hold him on his side at 4 wks old while he had a spinal tap in the ER). We truly had a tough start, but after the first 6 weeks, it was like none of that ever happened...

5 medicated IUIs w/ RE (March - July 2013) = BFN
Fresh IVF Cycle in September 2013 resulted in 18 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 12 made it to day 5. Transfer of 2 Grade A blastocysts on 9/15/13, and 10 embryos in the freezer! *****BFP on 9/25/13 - betas: @10dp5dt = 232; @12dp5dt = 465; @15dp5dt = 1,581 *********William George born June 4, 2014*********High: Finding out that I was pregnant and those two weeks of bliss knowing my little boy was in there. I had mild symptoms and I relished every single one. I peed on about 10 sticks just to see those lines. I dreamed his whole life in those 2 weeks.
Low: Losing my precious little boy and knowing that those dreams would never become reality for little Jonah.Those days after where everything seemed harsh and cruel and I had to mentally check out just to keep my sanity.
High: Feeling a little hope for the future and the thought of one day holding Jonah's little brother/sister in my arms and telling him/her about Jonah.
High: our beautiful little love being born and getting to be his mommy. I love him so much it hurts.
High: finding out we were pregnant. Most amazing feeling ever. Plus Jo got her Sgt's this month, so yay to a promotion.
Low: my father passing away at the beginning of the year. His sister, my Aunt, passing about a month after. Jo's grandmother passing in July. Finding out our baby was very sick and has Turner Syndrome. And then to end the year, we lost our Baby Girl.
It's been such a nightmare of a year for both our families. The hardest part is our baby was the light at the end of a dark 2014 tunnel, but that was not the case and we have to work through another loss.
High: we know there is nothing physically wrong with me, I did not cause our baby to become so sick. It was a 'lightening strike' occurrence and not something they expect to happen again. So that is something good to hear as we will be trying again to expand our family.

Lows: Sadly just the ever present worry over finances and drama tied to our house in Roatan. Please let us have some closure in 2015.
