Induction has BEGUN! I'm all hooked up. There is a pill up in my cervix. Time for a nap.
Good luck, I don't think I'll be sleeping much!
Oh me either. There's too many unfamiliar noises.
Oh BTW, DH and I heard the freakiest thing. The lady in the room next to us SCREAMED, we heard "thud thud thud", then we heard a baby cry. Then we heard another lady's voice yell for a doctor. I.Shit.You.Not My heart stopped. DH and I just stared at each other.
November Siggy Challenge: How I feel in the Third Trimester
Speaking of Twilight, Robert Pattinson wasn't cute to me in the movies but I just saw him in the new Dior commercial.. That man is fine! (Should this have been my UO instead?)
Agreed. But he's all pale with bright red lips and sparkly and shit in the movies. The commercial he looks more rugged and man like. I did a double take
I could never get over his nipple hair.

OMFG. I swear, hearing that or MIL say "Every time I stop by she's eating or sleeping." That was when she was<2.5 weeks old. So, what did she do early Sunday evening? Stop by announced to hopefully "catch" her awake. No, no, no. Just no. I was not happy. I don't like unexpected visitors, especially when I already have a lot going on. I like people in small doses, and I need time to prepare for visitors. I looked like a hot mess. I hadn't yet showered after cleaning, I had a headache and was so damn tired and wanted to nap. I still had some cleaning to do before my mom and sister arrived, both of whom I hadn't seen in 19 months.
The last person I wanted stopping by was MIL. *sigh* She drove 45 min to hopefully catch one of her wakeful periods, which is definitely not at 6:00 pm.

Ugh I feel ya @metaphysique. Hopefully your MIL being 45 min away keeps her from popping in too often. My MIL stops by every single day and gets in baby's face if she's sleeping and start saying things like "It's me, your favorite grandma! Come on, won't you open your eyes for grandma?" And worse, if she's eating when MIL is there, she'll stand over me and ooh and ah at the miracle of breastfeeding (DH was adopted).
This is probably horrible of me but I've gotten to the point that almost every time, I'll tell her she JUST missed baby being awake for a long time so now she'll be asleep for a long time, or that she doesn't latch well if she feels crowded.
My MIL lives 10 hours away, but she likes to FaceTime without warning so LO will "know her face" he's not even 2 weeks old, he isn't looking at a face on a cell phone.
I've gone into reclusive cave-dweller mode since labor started.
Congrats @MissChristineMarie ...me too! congrats on the boob feeding @misskilljoy ...my lo had a terrible latch for the first few days, but only on the left boob. It was killing me! Then she started refusing to latch all together on both sides for a day. I knew bf could be hard but I never imagined just how crazy it would make me, I'm so focused on it, when we have a bad night I feel like the apocalypse is here, lol.
My MIL just came by for 2 hours. She also constantly says "all she does is sleep". "She is such a good sleeper". Yes...she's 2 weeks old. All she does is sleep, eat, poop and cry. Of course if she had been over last night from 6pm-11pm, she wouldn't have thought all she does is sleep....baby just whined, cried and was generally miserable until she finally went to sleep.
I've also given up on being polite when she comes over. I handed her the baby and then went and did chores that needed to get done. Got the sheets back on the bed, wrote thank you cards, ate lunch, sorted maternity clothes etc.
I'm watching Love Actually with LO sleeping in my lap. Sobbing. PP hormones can't handle this heartwarming crap.
Do NOT watch Call the Midwife (I assume you are on Netflix). I just held LO today and sobbed.
@amedbery mine are the same way! They know they've been demoted. Chalupa is now alpha baby in the house.
I was actually halfway through season 2 of Call the Midwife and tried to start watching it again today. I just couldn't. The birth scenes just tore me up and I had to turn it off!
Trying to make my special Christmas Eve dessert that I make for our family gathering every year. LO is not ok with being put down today. I tried the Moby, and now my black Moby is covered in powdered sugar. Guess I'm waiting to until DH gets home.
My milk came in yesterday! We've had to feed the baby every 2 hours for the past 2 days to plump her back up, but it really helped and she gained 6 oz since Wednesday and now we can go back to every 3 hours with a 4 hour stretch at night if she sleeps that long. I'm going to keep pumping so DH can help feed. The idea of being able to sleep for 2-3 hours at a time instead of 1 hour is extremely appealing. Assuming the baby cooperates, of course. She's ravenous.
My parents were supposed to get here today but their first flight was cancelled this morning so they were rescheduled til tomorrow. We're all a bit bummed by that, but goes with the territory for travelling at this time of year.
Home now lol. Water did break. Was given the option to be induced then or wait to see if I go on my own. Had a few contractions but nothing crazy. Decided to come home to eat and sleep
How long are they going to let you go? What about the risk of infection?
Re: Hodor 2.0!!!
And congrats on the successful boob eating @misskilljoy
Good luck @feeshah !!

(I blame lack of sleep for not thinking of this sooner)
