@gutsymama Your tree is heart warming and your anxiety is warranted. You need to work on taking your rage up a notch. Your self restraint is commendable.
@missymr I hope little man feel better quickly. Your description was pitiful.
@caffienerain I'm sorry your H is fouled up. If ebona is anything like ecolda you have all my sorries. I hope he's not in too much pain.
Morning mamas. I'm off to the office to catch up on some research. Just realized I never got a faculty ID and now won't have access to my office for winter break. Boo
@Audrey1787 don't feel bad!! We only gave Addie a bear last year. This year, I bought more than I intended. I didn't spend a ton, but the quantity of little things is absurd to me. I don't think kids at any age need tons of gifts.
We took Addie to daycare today even though we are both home. I feel bad. I think she will have fun with her friends though, and I have a ton to do. We will be with her every day from now until Jan 12, so not that bad to take her, right?
@gutsymama, the can't even for dummies is also a pic saved on my phone. Apparently I say it a lot to my coworker
Ben started giving kisses yesterday. I feel like a lot of your kids have been doing it for months, but my heart is literally melted with his open mouth kisses. And then he looks at me and hits me in the face. And laughs. I keep telling him that hurts mommy. I have no idea why he thinks hitting is an appropriate follow up to a kiss.
Good morning everyone!! Homemade coffee cake, strong coffee & omelettes are just getting finished. When H is on vacation he jokes that he gains 10 lbs because I'm always cooking for him.
It's true, it might be all June Cleaver & shit, but I love getting to do nice things for him & the kiddos. Especially food. Food is my love language. :P
Hugs to all the sick babies, sick mamas & husbands. I made it through page three. So that's all I've seen.
Great big hugs @gutsymama :x your tree is adorable.
@altima80 : that sounds awful. Here's to hoping you get a break from the barfs.
@Silv3rlining : I hope your husband feels better soon.
@arlingirl : it feels like it's the season for the cruds. I'm sorry y'all can't seem to catch a break. (((Hugs)))
@lizabethanne06: hope your kiddos feel better soon. Waking at night for a neb. Treatment sounds like a hellish experience.
@stina2012: lol. I'd get duct tape for my MIL. We all know exactly where I'd put it. Do you want to borrow some?
After breakfast we are taking the kids to this kiddie theme park near by. They have a snow machine (yes, down here we have to create snow lol) & sledding with all the rides/games. It will be hilarious to see the kids go nuts & have fun.
Then home to play with the neighborhood kids. :awesome:
Play group is closed until the new year. I swear I love that place (despite the occasional douche) because the kids love it. It's so nice & I am going to be hella sad when the kids age out at 4.
Then again, I'm hoping to have #3 by 2017-- so I'll have an excuse to stay at this place for another four years.
@biggunsbo maybe she won't hit again. I think Ben's hitting stems from DC. There are six boys 16.5-18 months. They all think hitting is the funniest thing. They hit each other, then laugh. DC is working on teaching them it is wrong and that it hurts and we need to have gentle hands. But those boys are all boy and love rough housing already. It's tough to crack.
I guess I'm a little late to start the spam thread with my title. Between getting in late and visiting with people this am I totally forgot I wanted to start the spam thread. I feel bad I messed up @amparo1981 's plans to start the thread!! Sorry friend!!
We didn't buy much for Allison either this year. We bought her a potty chair. I may possibly go out for one toy or book, but like @Altima80 does she really need anything else. Grandparents are going to get her the hill and back so I don't think I need to get her even more.
Elizabeth's godparents bought her this giant grumpy cat for Christmas. She hates it. She started screaming at me when GC was blocking the doorway to the room I was in.
GC now guards the Legos.
Good morning ladies!! Moving SUCKS!! We're hosting Christmas for the first time in our new house. I keep trying to tidy up, but all I end up doing is moving things from one box to another. I am also very aware I am past the 30 days to change my address with the dmv and I am avoiding it at all costs.
Thanks to the insanity of this WW I have been busting out Silas's Christmas gifts left and right to keep him happy since he's been such a bear. I now have nothing left to give him except his kitchen, which is still sitting in the box and probably won't be assembled for weeks.

@equinus And @biggunsbo yay for humid in December! We'll be in Tampa from Saturday - Saturday for the Outback Bowl. I'm bringing a group of dancers to perform at the pre-game and halftime. So flipping excited!
@estradaa Just saw your post. Here's the first one I did. They are all a little different. This is the only one with berries by the word mistletoes. Some have berries attached to the top of the foot haha.
A friend shared this pic with me. I'm sure there are a few j13 friends who might be ALLLL about this. I am for placenta encapsulation, but I draw the line at this.
Wait...what?!
I'd like to thank the good Baby Jesus for not having my parents be this big of hippies that ^^^ would ever seem like a good idea.

Ok, this is too horrible not to share.
My mom just went over to my uncle's house. She sent me a text saying my aunt died peacefully in her sleep at 4am. I was in walmart wrangling leah and didn't realize she wasn't just updating me on that detail. I responded "good" - to a group of 10 people who hadn't heard she died yet. X_X
oops! Maybe a follow up text to all clarifying that you are glad she passed peacefully?
Our Christmas is always hectic, we have my parents, MIL's, and FIL's houses to go to. So we'll do my parents Christmas eve, FIL Christmas morning and then MIL Christmas afternoon. Except MIL says "we want to make it easier on you, should we just come to your place?" I wasn't super keen on it, but told DH whatever he decides. Now not only are they coming to our place but we're doing a meal at our place which was news to me (they are cooking, but still). So that means we'll spend a lot of tomorrow cleaning (Keenan is like a tornado in our house) and then we can't just leave when we're ready like we can when we go over to her house. So ya, that's fun.
And what's worse is that usually we find time on Christmas to go back to my parents' because my mom's family from about 2 hours away comes up just for Christmas day. With this schedule, we'll be lucky to see them this year. So I'm bummed about that, and might resort to begging DH to squeeze it in if possible.
Oh and this is the first year without DH's grandpa, who passed away a few months ago. MIL was on the phone with DH and says "your grandma is having a hard time" and DH said MIL teared up too. DH proceeds to be a douchecanoe and says "Why are they still grieving, it's been 3 months? This is ridiculous." I think my jaw literally dropped from that statement and I told him he's being ridiculous. I just hope he can keep those sentiments to himself on Christmas and not get short-tempered with his mom. Ugggg.
My ability to focus on words is diminishing by the minute. DH has his polytrauma appointment today to determine if he officially has TBI or not and all I can think about is how I can't focus on reading today's spam.

This is my first Christmas without my grandpa. He passed in September. I don't get as sad as I did right after but a first anything without a loved one is going to be tough.

@ilovemyducks21 What a douche thing to say. I would've been pissed if my DH said something like that. Which he has done in the past about people. After being deployed, he views death differently and he seems to have lost his ability to understand that death isn't just a part of life, it's a whole grieving process. I think he's starting to realize it now that his grandpa has passed, but before it was not so great.
Wonder week + teeth + cold= a miserable kid who gets chocolate chips for breakfast (and is still miserable). MOTY.

I refuse to admit causation because he just hates his bed and throws screaming fits at naptime in a perfectly dry diaper.
Going shopping with my sister, 2 days before Christmas. Bad idea, but I need new clothes.
