Good morning. I have my 36 week appt today. Doc is supposed to check me for GBS, but I have the worst throat pain- now in my jaw and ears as well and I'm worried he won't see me (I'm gonna call first so I don't just go spreading my germs). I need some kind of relief and I'm hoping he will not only see me, but give me something for what I suspect is an infection. At least I can breathe at this point....
<~ tired. Zoe had an extra wake/feeding overnight. Yay for coffee!
I was logged out for some strange reason and when I logged into TB it told me I'm 38 weeks pregnant. hahahaha.... no.
I finally did a bunch of wrapping last night.. probably 3/4 of it. Not lots left. Also made my cookies. My IL's are coming over for dinner tonight. I have no idea what I'm making, I should probably figure this out.
(Zoe Claire- born at 33.6 weeks- November 19, '14 - 5lbs 15oz)
Woke up incredibly early to use the bathroom. Did some online Christmas shopping, now I'm hungry and can't go back to sleep. Part of me is ready for this to be over, the other part knows what's ahead and wants to not rush anything. Also this is the last baby, so I need to savor every little kick and bump.
It's a miracle! The finger jello I was assigned to bring to the preschool Christmas party today actually turned out! I was so excited when I went to cut it this morning and it came out in nice clean pieces, not a crumbling mess!
I don't know what's going on. I slept like a champ last night! And woke up feeling tired and grumpy. I have a small person sitting so low in my pelvis it feels like she's about an inch away from coming out without me going into real labor. Not enough coffee in the world today...
On a lighter note, I kind of hope we have some random poster today who asks a "silly" question so we can throw a GIF party. You know, like a little Christmas Eve Eve pick me up :-D
Leaving soon to drop E at daycare then it's a full day of food shopping, cleaning my house, and baking! My in-laws should get in around 4 and I also have two conference calls today! I can do this!!!
Add me to team angry death! I've been having painful but irregular contractions since yesterday afternoon and they woke me up all night, and DD shared her cold with me. Of course my MIL flies out today and will be gone for two weeks, so now I'm worried baby isnt going to wait until she gets back. I had several weeks of prodromal labor with DD before she was born so hopefully he'll hold out, but that was a miserable mind fuck I was hoping to avoid this time! I work until 3 today and then am home with DD while DH drives MIL up to the airport. Hopefully I can keep it all together!
38 week appointment today, where I will be throwing myself at the mercy of my doctor to schedule my induction for Monday. I've tried to be a trooper with the low back and nerve pains, but now that Tylenol isn't touching the pain anymore, I'm out of options. My induction with my first was a breeze, so I'm hoping for the same this time around.
Work tomorrow night for Christmas Eve. Can't believe it's already here! Hoping for only a few patients on the floor so I can enjoy making my double time mostly while sitting instead of running around like a crazy, pained preggo.
I see we had a birth or two overnight as well. Congrats to the new mommas!
I tried to go back to sleep, but it didn't work. DH and I ran around last night for Santa gifts for the kiddos. His grandma watched them. We didn't finish at all; I'm so slow! Have to try again today. I was up until 1am.
Sitting in the waiting room now, waiting to see the doctor who is filling in for my doc this week. She just walked in the door (3 minutes past my scheduled appt). I'm not yet impressed, but glad I get to meet her, just in case she ends up delivering DD later this week. Still crossing my fingers that she stays put until at least Fri......still, weird because I didn't expect to make it this long. I've never been this pregnant before!
Sitting here at work with swollen fat fingers...meh. I was up all night with contractions that ended up slowing down after I went #2. I thought for sure today was the day, haha..... On a positive note, traffic wasn't bad driving into work today since most people are off. I got a good parking spot too.
I ate frosted flakes for breakfast. Now I know my blood sugar is going to be all screwed up in two hours and my OB might fuss at me. It is what it is.
Today, I have an NST, an ultrasound, and an OB appointment. At my office, you usually see the OB immediately after your ultrasound. Today, I have an hour and a half between the two since the office is closed the next two days so the schedule is all screwed up. The office closes for lunch between 12 and 1 so it's not like I can just hang out in the waiting room and read a book either. Maybe I'll see if my sister wants to grab lunch. I go to the hospital for my NSTs so I feel like I'm going to be running my tail off all day.
36 week appointment for me too. H helped with grooming last night and it just turned into a giggle session. He kept telling me, "things aren't where they used to be...". Well, no shit.
Should be up and running by now but I am sitting here bumping while DD4 builds a road out of blocks for a truck she is playing with and DS3 builds a fireplace out of blocks. About to shower then visit the Gg's(great grandparents) and then I have to find a couple more stocking stuffers for DH if I can manage to stop at the store with the kids. I lose steam so fast these days. This is the one thing that is driving me crazy this pregnancy. Oh and I have no intention of cooking tonight.
Does anyone wear a support belt? Does it help? I never had this much pain in my first pregnancy. Last night I couldn't even walk with the amount of pelvic pain I had. I'm thinking this is more than normal pregnancy pain. I can't even do normal activities (like cleaning my house) I'm miserable. SPD maybe?
Also, my sister posted that she has the flu. I told her not to come to my house on xmas if so. (I'm hosting) This is not going to go down well. She said she doesn't want to miss xmas. Well I don't want the damn flu at 9 months pregnant!

I snipped because I know nothing about the support belt, but if your sister has the flu she should realize she's not fit to be out and about in public. Totally on your side here and I hope the rest of the family supports you.
I only woke up twice last night - so I think I slept more than I have been. But I woke up super cranky because of having to go to work. Now that I'm here, it's not so bad.
I want cookies. Oh and the biggest news of all - I washed my hair today. I'm all sorts of clean!

This and you could end up in the hospital with an IV if you end up getting a fever...it's just ignorant to show up to anyone's house (let alone a 9-month pregnant persons) with any illness! Make sure she stays far far away!

I have a support belt, but I haven't worn it a lot since I sit most of the day at work. It is verrrry uncomfortable to sit with it on. However, it feels great when I am standing and moving around like that. So, it really depends what you are doing, IMO.
I am totally with you on the flu thing. Your sister should know better. It is 10,000x worse for a pregnant woman to get the flu, especially at 9 months. It could cause more issues if you were to go into labor while sick too.
I have my 38 week appointment today, it will be fairly uneventful because all she will do is take my blood pressure and measurements etc. No sign of this LO yet (thankfully)! DH and I finally wrapped all the Xmas gifts last night and had a bit of a date night (at home), which consisted of putting DS to bed a bit early and watching Home Alone. It was nice to just hang out! We have no other plans for tonight, but my parents are having friends over tomorrow night and we were invited (they live across the lawn) so we are obligated to show up for at least a little bit! Then Christmas day is also there so I have to make an app and salad. I think I can handle the rest of the festivities and knock on wood, but I have been sleeping decently the last few nights so I actually have some energy! fingers crossed that this LO makes it to the new year!! (Not due until the 6th)

The hell with stupid posters. We don't need an excuse for a GIF party ladies!
I had the most realistic dream about this LO last night. She was born weighing 6lb9oz and 22 inches, the little bean pole, she had a full head of dark red hair, and big brown eyes. I know she probably won't look like my dream, and at 36w6d she still has some more cooking to do, but it got me so excited for her to come out!

I had better sleep last night. My H moved to futon mattress to the floor, but I was up every few hours to pee and what a struggle it was to get up of the floor from a laying position. Then as I finally get semi comfy again I was hit with major hunger pains, so again, a struggle to get up and fix a bowl of cereal.
We make our 4 hour trek back home today. I'm excited to get home and celebrate the holiday. I can't wait to just relax in a week or so. We've got our travels today. Tomorrow my mfm, and last min Christmas stuff to get. Ds2 and I will bake cookies. Then chill (hopefully) Christmas Day. I'll probably cook dinner. Then my mom comes on the 26th, so the 25th I've gotta clean and get ready for her. This weekend I plan to get as much as I can done to prepare for the new baby. I've yet to do anything. Hopefully by 37 weeks I'll be ready for him, and all the crazy slows down. Thinking I'll pack my bag that week too.
Finally awake! It is nice not having to get up early since the boys are on winter break. However they are hyper!
I have two NST's scheduled for this week.(one today and the other on the 26). I also have to pick up my directions/dr orders for my csection that is on Monday.
I need to get cleaning done and about to start. So I can relax this afternoon after my appt.
@iheartichi - In reply to yesterday's Randoms about the "What What, In the Butt" guy, once we figured out who he was we were ordered to never ask him about the video. One of our big bosses even sent out a memo stating that anyone caught and/or reported for asking him about it would be punished. And yet I could stand there and have conversations with Johnny Bench for 15 minutes about the state of our Redlegs...I worked for a bass ackwards employer. It was still fun to see the guy. He was always perky and flamboyant. The video guy, not Mr. Bench. :-D
Well, DH and I did our hospital tour last night. I love nearly every aspect of it. It's a super nice place and they're super pro skin to skin and rooming with the baby. But we found out that because I have to be under general for my CS, DH can't be in the room during the operation. This really upsets me and I know it's getting to him too. It was really important to him to be there. It makes me tempted to talk to my ob about doing it with the spinal block instead but then I risk worsening my brain injury. Ahhh. At least, they'll put him in a special waiting room right outside the doors of the OR and will take baby straight to him. Then he'll get to do about an hour of skin to skin with baby girl before they do the shots and ointment and measurements and such.
In other news, we're staying at FIL's house tonight and I forgot PJs, which I need since the only bathroom is in the room we sleep in so we're gonna have to swing by the store and pick something up for me. And FFTC I occasionally call my baby a jerk because she moves in ways that cause me a LOT of pain. today she's being particularly jerky.
I decided to make pasta sauce for my IL's visit tonight. I threw stuff in a crock pot and it's simmering. How did I exist before a crock? I'll throw garlic bread in the oven when it's dinner time and throw together a salad. Easy.
Zoe is napping and I feel like I should be, too. I'm tired today. But napping feels like a waste of time to me right now. More coffee then..

Awww well your boss was no fun. I bet he wouldn't have minded talking to people about it, he seemed like a nice guy. That's so funny though that you saw him all the time!

Re: Tuesday Randoms!
I usually get up around 6:45, but I'm contemplating getting up now to straighten up the house a bit because we're having a dinner party.
Also my DCP unexpectedly gave us gifts yesterday, so I may make chocolate dipped Oreos or something to give her as a gift.
Then work, then dinner party! Salmon, good sides, and white elephant gifts - yay!
Oh, and DH and I got the doors hung last night, and they look great!
I'm 38 weeks today woo hoo! Almost done! Doc appointment today I'm actually looking forward it.
Hope you all have a great Tuesday!
